XMap review

Kommentare: More than 15 years ago, it was my first ever navigation experience. A friend recommended her to me. Even then, this navigation system was among the best on the market.

Vorteile:

A long-standing traditionExcellent map coverageSimple to useThe possibility of various settings that are not offered by normal applications

Nachteile:

I had an occasional issue with updates which I was able to resolve eventually.

Great program, but unsupported

Kommentare: We had success working with maps on XMAP, however it's now time to move on.

Vorteile:

XMap is part of a modular family(XMap GIS Enterprise, XMap GIS Editor, and XMap Professional) which is consistent, robust and very easy to use.

Nachteile:

Sadly it's been acquired by Garmin that discountined it, so with age it's more and more difficult to integrate the XMap ecosystem with newer stuff(windows 10, newer map formats..)

XMap is no longer supported by DeLorme or Garmin

Vorteile:

Fantastic program that I used for over 15 years.

Nachteile:

DeLorme was acquired by GARMIN and they have let it die. No support. Historical user forums are gone and there is no information anywhere on how to fix issues with XMap8 if you have recently (2019) installed it on a Windows 10 machine. So frustrating!

Avis - XMap

Vorteile:

XMap est très convivial et propose des fonctionnalités de cartographie avancées. J'apprécie sa capacité à créer des cartes professionnelles de haute qualité selon mes besoins.

Nachteile:

Cependant, le prix peut être un peu élevé pour une petite organisation comme la mienne, et il pourrait manquer certaines fonctionnalités comparé à d'autres solutions sur le marché.

Vorteile:

This GPS program is the best because it literally can find any place I want to travel!

Nachteile:

Rerouting is the only inconvenient problem. It consumes time and can be frustrating.

Limited Device Compatibility

Kommentare: For being a newer user of the Garmin Explore App, it does provide me with some capabilities that I enjoy when travelling. Without a compatible device, I would only recommend it for light off-grid adventuring.

Vorteile:

The Garmin Explore app is a great app for off-the-grid trip planning, and navigating. I am able to create and store my route plans for the trip before beginning my backpacking adventure. One of my favorite features is location sharing. This gives my loved ones peace of mind that they know I am ok when I go off the grid.

Nachteile:

One disappointment that I had with the Garmin Explore Ap is that isn't compatible with my Vivoactive Garmin watch. I do not have enough of a need to purchase an additional device simply for compatibility with this app. This makes it not possible to use some of the features in the app and I can only use the smartphone capabilities, meaning that the smartphone needs to remain charged (definitely less battery life than the Garmin devices have).

Connecting your Garmin and phone

Vorteile:

I don't travel a lot but the Garmin friends gave to me very useful when I do. Discovered this phone app which connects to it and haven't used it a lot, but like the features which I suspect will come in handy on more complicated trips if we ever have them again.

Nachteile:

I've always found Garmin a bit glitchy to fire up in general, but perseverance...

Un'ottima soluzione software GIS all-in-one scalabile ai bisogni dell'azienda

Kommentare: Utilizziamo DeLorme XMap per la progettazione in quanto ci permette di creare file kml con coordinate estremamente precise.

Vorteile:

DeLorme XMap è un ottimo prodotto capace di mettere a disposizione dell'utente strumenti di mappatura per la navigazione GPS. DeLorme XMap è un prodotto abbastanza semplice da imparare ed usare e offre una soluzione software GIS all-in-one scalabile ai bisogni dell'azienda e a basso costo.

Nachteile:

DeLorme XMap all'avvio risulta un po' lento rispetto agli altri software GIS concorrenti. Per il resto mi sembra un ottimo software.

This products is dependable. It is accurate and functions without mishaps. It can be trusted each use.

This product has not let us down at all. We have been able to effectively use it to meet our needs everytime.
