Vorteile:

Subhub has made it so easy to launch my podcast membership site. It has all of the needed features and then some. I have been able to build a functional easy to navigate site that I can grow into. Also, the customer service is top notch! Easily some of the best service I've ever received consistently.

Nachteile:

I don't have many dislikes. I would say the UI isn't sleek or clean. It takes some getting used to as we see services with a lot more ability to create a website that way. There are some additional integrations I'd like, but nothing major.

Thrilled with SubHub!

Kommentare: My experience with SubHub has been absolutely outstanding! [sensitive content hidden] was able to take our idea and design a beautiful website for it. She somehow truly understood what we wanted with very little direction from us. Everything we wanted is there, plus some amazing, perfect touches! The developers were able to make the modifications we wanted to give the website the functionality we needed. The actual product (the membership website) is organized well, looks good, works well, and is user friendly. I cannot speak high enough about how pleasant SubHub is to work with. [sensitive content hidden] is so delightful and approachable and very talented. Every communication we had with other SubHub employees was very positive. Much appreciation! :)

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

This is challenging as we are so pleased! There are a couple of tiny things that we would like, or at least we think we would like...-Email All feature able to send photos-Photos able to be uploaded to the forum (or a page, by members, in addition to profile)That's all I can think of!

Easy to implement memberships but they need to implement a lot of features if they want to compete

Kommentare: Is a decent solution for a membership site but they need to implement more features. The online marketing world is constantly changing and they need to adapt.

Vorteile:

This a very easy to use software for membership sites. You can construct a site in a couple of days and start making money. The web page designer is implemented in the app and you can even link your domain name. The app is very organized and intuitive and the support is top notch. They reply in minutes and are very helpful

Nachteile:

They need to implement a lot more features. You can't sale courses in the store. They are part of the membership site. This is a little annoying because some clients just want one course, not be part of all the site, and they have to fill the form just to access the course and sometimes is overwhelming for them. Is buggy at times, you can't see the changes in the page inmeaditely. Other problem is with pdfs. They have a feature to protect the pdf from downloading, but the resolution is terrible and the site that encrypted the pdf has a fee. So if you want to embed 5 or more pdfs you will have to pay for that external service.

Membership software without the stress

Kommentare: The team is amazing. They respond quicky and follow-up to check if any additional support is needed.

Vorteile:

The platform has a lot of features all integrated together which is fantastic.

Nachteile:

There are more features coming on the roadmap. Looking forward to having paid events built into the offerings.

SubHub Makes Membership Websites Easy

Vorteile:

SubHub allows me to easily (as a non-techie) to create a membership website without needing to hire a team of web developers.

Nachteile:

Despite not being very technical, I would have liked to see more options in the available templates to make the site look and feel more how I wanted.

I was able to learn how to apply everrything I knew I needed, fairly easily and effortlessly. The support team is GREAT! They answer questions quickly and professionally, so I can take the next steps myself.

Nachteile:

Knowing how to make things work for me was a bit of a learning curve (that continues!) - see the note about their support team.

An online business dream come true

Kommentare: Really amazing. I shocked myself and with the help of this world class support team I am managing + creating my own website and running my online business solo which feels very freeing and empowering.

Vorteile:

I can actually use it. The customer service is impeccable. It has great functionality without being overly confusing.

Nachteile:

Some glitches and inconsistencies have caused mild frustration. Not consistent across all browsers. Difficult to size, style and space font and videos.

Kommentare: Excellent. Glad I made the switch. I am just getting more into the support documentation so I am understanding more :) takes time. I am interacting with their support team weekly are they are bare none the best of I used on any site/platform.

Vorteile:

The best part about any software product is its customer support. These guys are wonderful. Efficient and patient. I am new to the online business and they have held my hand well :) I love that the platform is fast to load. I also love the Courses module although I have not implemented yet. But soon. The ease of use for the member is excellent.

Nachteile:

I wish it was a little more intuitive. I am a newbie as well so I have limited experience. I would like an easier page editor :)

Kommentare: My overall experience with subhub website building was absolutely great.

Vorteile:

SubHub was very patient with my ideas, length of time it took me to get started, my work schedule and very understanding of my lack of technical experience with website building. They were absolutely great and easy to work with.

Nachteile:

When it comes to complaints, I have to admit that I cannot come up with any. They have been super great at helping me throughout the whole process.

9 years and I still LOVE Subhub!

Kommentare: Subhub has been a university of techie training for this non-techie. The support team has been WONDERFUL (e.g., Toby, Louise, Jeanne, Beverly...). I feel like I have "friends," ready to help with any website questions or challenges. I've had some health challenges, but Subhub has always been dependable–whether I work daily, weekly, or periodically on the website. Although we've had a number of unusual challenges and occasional glitches, Subhub has been the perfect tool to reach a global audience. We started with a Subhub template and eventually paid for a customized site. I did the research on some specific graphics, sent in some drawings with detailed explanations, and Subhub's developers produced a home page that still makes us happy and still attracts visitors to our email list. Vorteile:

I started Subhub as a non-techie with a heart to help teachers with a membership site. Subhub simplified my life and helped me grow in my technical skills. We've been on the old Subhub platform with our website since 2010 (although we updated to the mobile-friendly version later when that became available). I still like the organization and flexibility of the software because it allows me to serve my caring community of teachers more effectively. It self-organizes the content automatically according to what I want. The fact that someone else is managing it (for technical issues, updates, etc.) instead of me having to hire a webmaster makes it so simple. It has been quite dependable and works effectively for our global audience. In fact, even without advertising, somehow Subhub's SEO has brought in email subscribers and members from many nations. I'm amazed.

Nachteile:

We've had some glitches/growing pains with the old platform that we're on. I REALLY wish that some of the features in the new platform could be included in the old platform. Changing platforms is very complicated, though. The one thing that has been a bit of a challenge for us on the old platform is the Store. For some reason the store downloads on this old platform require sending an email link with the download. That has been a problem for some of our sales since people couldn't find that link, so we will probably close the Subhub Store and link to our TpT store instead. IF the Subhub Store on this old platform gets updated we can always reopen the Subhub store. :)

Their support team is friendly and supportive, and they can help you with any questions or problems you are having. I have asked for multiple customisations, and they always went extra miles to help. I would definitely recommend this platform to anyone who is looking for a solution for a membership website.

Excellent Customer Service

Kommentare: Customer service is outstanding!!! They respond quickly, efficiently, provide screen prints to help resolve your issue. They always follow up! I am so pleased with their support and how friendly and supportive they all are.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to navigate and the FAQ's always help me out when I have an issue. I like the submission form for all my users. Its simplistic and they can easily select an option and pay immediately. Yeah!!

Nachteile:

I would like to have the flexibility of changing the layout for my cell phone, so it looks proportional. I would like to have the option of creating a blank page w/o the menu being displayed for a landing page I would like to have the option to change specific colors of buttons without changing the button color on every page. I think the membership page and the main page photos should be independent of each other, so photos can be interchanged easily on both pages w/o calling customer service. I like to change photos when my photographer is available and better photos are taken. These are just suggestions. On my other websites these options are available to me - the user.

Vorteile:

Way too many to list. 'Likes' are quite subjective. I will say this... for an individual with a baseline skill of navigating technology, the SubHub platform was really easy to learn. This is huge as I'm constantly on the back-end of the site and learned quickly how to navigate my way around. HUGE plus!

Nachteile:

I suppose if I had to choose something, it would be not being able to send separate "welcome emails' for the different levels of subscription we offer. I wouldn't be surprised if the SubHub developers create an option for this in the near future based off my conversation with them regarding this topic.

A great solution to create your own membership website

Kommentare: With this company becoming my primary income two years ago I wanted to ensure that I selected a provide who would be there, a reputable company with strong service & performance and a system that allowed me the creativity and freedom to design the site I needed & wanted.

I am in the process of launching a 2nd Members Website and so I have done a little research recently to ensure that SubHub will still deliver on my needs and based on everything I am reading & finding out - I am ready to launch this new site with SubHub again. I have no hesitation recommending SubHub to others!

Vorteile:

I launched my own business - primarily based around/on a membership website. I did a fair amount of research and found SubHub. I am pleased I went with their services as two+ years later I have a strong web community with several hundred paying member/subscribers and more than 530 articles. The tools provided you by SubHub allows you to create a site with little computer knowledge. I do like the fact that I can enable the HTML function on each article to customize if I wish to. It has all the features & functions I think you could want in a members website including free hosting, video & audio support, integration with payment providers, levels of membership, pay per view access and a complete online storefront. SubHub customer service has been very responsive and helpful, and your account comes with a robust set of PDF how-to guides and the 'Owners Club' where you learn great ideas on building & managing your online community.

Nachteile:

It is fairly minor but I find the Forum feature to be a bit lacking in aesthetics and function. If this were a critical component to me, I would either launch a sub-domain for my Forum and use perhaps a PHP product like phpBB. Other than that I have not really found any other downsides or deficits with the SubHub system.

How much functionality it has for an "out-of-the-box" membership -building site! If you have a subscription site, this is the best software you could use!

Nachteile:

Because it's out-of-the-box, you do have to work with them if and pay more if you want customized features! But the pricing is very affordable compared to most web developers

No frills membership management

Kommentare: The support has been good, certainly at the beginning, and it now looks after itself with minimal effort and maintenance required from us.

Vorteile:

This is a simple piece of software that can help manage and curate straightforward membership plans within the business

Nachteile:

It can be a bit difficult at first to set up if you are not trying to selling content subscriptions, we are selling care plans, but with the good support it can be adapted fine.

My best experience with CMS

Kommentare: I realized, how incredible customer service can transform a business. Kudos to all the customer service employees of SubHub, especially [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]. She has been such a blessing. It's easy to lose your cool when you are building a website since you're trying to learn everything about the software and you ought to get irritated. But like I said, with great customer service these problems can be solved easily. Even though I continually keep have login issues with SubHub, I'm not ok with leaving it. Not because I don't have options, but because I have great customer service experience and thus, I will keep supporting this business! :)

Vorteile:

I loved how versatile this software can be. I'm a pretty creative person and I love how I can take my creativity and put it to action with the different tools this software provides. It has pretty much everything you can think of. The development team did an awesome job by keeping in mind all the features a user could potentially need and use. You do not need to know crazy html, but that could be an added benefit of course.

Nachteile:

The only part that bugs me is the login. I have to attempt to log in twice every time. I'm not sure if that's like a safety thing or just glitch? And it'll be so cool if the articles had the same freedom of elements or sections as the homepage, I think that would definitely make the pages stand out more. Other than that, I'm a happy camper! :)

Subhub - Since 2010

Kommentare: Been using Subhub since 2010 and have never thought of an alternative platform. They fit every need we have in providing a newsletter service to the financial markets.

Vorteile:

Ease of use and support. There is plenty of training documentation and you do not need to learn any code. The support staff is very responsive when a problem comes up and goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied!

Nachteile:

Initially the eCommerce system was a struggle, but they have since created multiple options for eCommerce integration.

Nachteile:

It doesn't do everything under the sun. But I don't fault them for that. Look at what Sub Hub can do and if it fits your business model, then you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for something beyond what their core competencies are, then you might be disappointed.

Thumbs up for SubHub

Kommentare: The reason we went with SubHub was for their ability to manage subscriptions for a large number of people. We haven’t launched yet - still working some kinks out, but I will say their customer service is very good - my problems have all been resolved within a few days.

Nachteile:

Kind of confusing or difficult to use at first, but once you get the hang of it , it is totally manageable.

It is what I was looking for in a product, they are adding more features, AND the customer reps and their developers are there to assist. Great people to work with...don't lose this part of your business. :)

Nachteile:

Sometimes the program is not intuitive and as flexible as one would like; but getting a handle on it.
