Fastmanager best decision we have made.
Kommentare: I have a largish shop and we produce around half a million prints and two hundred thousand embroideries a year as well as transfer jobs etc. We installed fastmanager around 10 years ago and it revolutionised our business. We have it operating on around 20 computers in the company. I've read the other review on this site and it surprises me. The main database does occasionally crash but in fairness Fastmanager support has us up and running in a few hrs,. Perhaps the best thing about the software is that if required they will customise it to suit your business. We have had several alterations made over the years and the guys have been great. Ive looked at alternative software however none have the features I require in this large a shop. I also use the auto-schedule feature which has saved a lot of admin time. I'm looking forward to the new FM5 which is due out soon. Overall I rate the software very highly, it takes a bit of time to set-up but overall very good. Support is good too. Chris
Vorteile: The program has multiple features, great for a large shop.
Nachteile: As we are UK based it would be very handy if it could integrate with Sage accounts.

Love working with Fastmanager
Kommentare: Love that it talks to Quickbooks. I am able to integrate all the invoices and payments over to Quickbooks with ease.
Vorteile: Great place to create work orders and bring the job from beginning to end. User friendly for such a complicated process.
Nachteile: I wish you could make customer changes to the invoices. Once they are invoices you are stuck with the same customer even if they ask you to send them to someone else.

Not suitable for large print shops
We purchased fastmanager with 17 licenses, valued at over $10,000. The system crashes daily. Customer support said it was our network, even though it was professionally installed and maintained and had no problem running other programs. They told us to turn off firewalls and anti-virus scanners, which we did (leaving us unprotected). They took copies of the database and "cleaned it up" and returned it. Still there are issues. The system freezes, crashes the computer, duplicates invoices, deletes quotes, etc. It's a nightmare, and after 5 months of use it's still not fixed and Fastmanager has no solutions. Every single day for 5 months we have crashes, or other errors, on multiple computers in the building. This does not happen with the other networked software (like QUickbooks Enterprise and a shared harddrive), which points to it being a FM issue and not a network issue.
In January 2015 we submitted 5 custom catalogs to be added to our account. Two weeks later they lost them all and we resent them. A month later we got one catalog. I asked if we could pay money to get them quicker, and got no response. A month later we got half a catalog. And that's it. 1 and a half out of 5 catalogs in five months.
We are a larger shop and have a large on-hand inventory that is pulled from daily. Let's say I have 100 white t-shirts in large. When I place an order in FM for white large t-shirts it will take them from stock. But if you take them from stock, the quantity is reduced and then there is not way to print a pick ticket or notify my warehouse staff to pull the shirts. It just disappears. There's no report to run or way to follow up on it. We talked to customer service and were told they were aware, other people had complained, but there were no plans to make changes or updates.
We contacted management for a refund because of the daily errors and crashes, lack of catalogs, inability to print pick tickets and dozens of other issues that make this system too difficult to use (auto-scheduling is too basic for a large shop like ours, reporting to quickbooks, etc). We sent screenshots of the errors, provided copies of the emails we sent for customer support and for submitting catalogs, and we invited them to come up and see the errors in person.
Management acknowledges that other shops have issues with the database working reliably but they refuse to refund even a single dollar to try and make this right.
Avoid our mistake. Don't purchase Fastmanager.

Kommentare: Overall I think FastManager is a good program. Reports seem limited but ok. Glitchy at times, but it holds a wealth of information and I am pleased with it.

Kommentare: You can upload designs and view them in the printout. The only thing I Was not able to customize it or tailor it very well. It was a little hard to get updated pricing and catalog updates. Had to enter everything manually.
