Kommentare: All in all we are very pleased with the Hiretrack NX software, the team and the support from Navigator systems. They have come a long way developing the ultimate rental software and continue to improve with every major update. When all data is set up correctly, and all reports (either standard, tailored or completely custom-made) are in place, it really improves operation speed and insight from every desk in the office or warehouse. Already happy and eager to learn what the future will bring.

Vorteile: The software is very extensive, meaning that there are a lot of options and functions available to all users. Whether you have a one warehouse, 10 crew or twelve warehouses 200 crew business, the software is the same and you can 'pick and mix' the parts of the software that you need for your operations. I still find new functionality every time I dig deeper, although I have been using Eclipse (the predecessor) and NX for 12 years straight. For smaller companies, the latest updates have improved warehouse operations and reduced the number of clicks needed to get 'simple' jobs out.
Then, the support team is out of this world. Reply's are always swift and to-the point. They never failed me coming up with a solution for a problem I encountered.

Nachteile: The learning curve for new users is quite steep because of all the options and extended functionality. Tutorials are available, but are understandably never exactly tailored to the way we work in our company. For the future, I am very curious what possibilities Hiretrack will be using from mobile technology. I feel this part is, until now, under-developed in comparison to other software packages on the market. I would love to see our warehouse guys being able to use their mobile phone or tablet to scan out lists of equipment.

Vorteile: We very much like the flexibility about Hiretrack NX. I do the admin for several regions and all regions have very different needs, hence we customized the settings of Hiretrack to suit each region's requirements to make sure NX is an advantage and not a burden to use. In some areas NX is very flexible to use but in others such as warehouse processes it has very strict processes, which benefits the business very well. Hiretrack is a very organic product and the developers do a lot to make this software successful and competitive, there are continuous enhancements and most of those are free of charge.

Additionally, I very much enjoy dealing with the support team. Responses are spot on and most of the times solutions are offered within hours or at least within 24 hours. There is also an option of getting reports programmed by the Navigator team and while other companies take ages to program new reports, most of our reports were done within 1 up to 3 weeks depending on the complexity of the report and the length of the testing phase.
All in all, we enjoy using Hiretrack NX and are happy to recommend this tool.

Nachteile: In warehouse operations, we do like all the options of considering equipment, sub hires and loans but the number of clicks is just too much. There is a new Easter update to come which should address most of these issues and we are looking forward to working with this new feature. I'd very much enjoy seeing one way transfers so one warehouse can send items to another warehouse and the items will be available at the receiving location (same as an item and barcode transfer but within a job). As soon as the transfer is confirmed the items should be available at this location starting from the receiving date. With more than one warehouse, it would make sense to exchange equipment when needed and not when the system is expecting it back a one way transfer would also save logistics cost.
