I've been using Harvest since 2015!

Kommentare: It does a great job of tracking time and it so simple to use. I use the reports aspect weekly to send time reports to my clients to keep them informed on time spent. My time reports are done quickly thanks to their detailed reporting.

Vorteile:

I love how easy Harvest is to use and set up for your business. It's simple to create projects as they have enough detail. It's simple to switch tasks while time tracking.

Nachteile:

I did not like the limit on profiles for the free version. I guess I see the why but if you have an established business, you can't just try it out with a full client list.

Kommentare: I was searching for something different from the usual behemoth of time-tracking software that we've used and become familiar with over the years. I wanted something new—smart and efficient—that would suit a small team while covering the fundamental needs we cared about. That's when I first discovered Harvest.It's overwhelming to think about the sheer number of apps and software options available, and it’s easy to get lost in the process of choosing one. You could almost need a separate suite of tools just for that purpose alone. But once you cut through the noise, you can find something truly great amidst the whirlpool of options. Harvest excels in its simplicity and intuitive design. The interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and start tracking time right away. One feature that stood out to me was the ability to track time across multiple projects simultaneously. This is particularly useful for those juggling various clients or tasks and was one of our requirements.

Vorteile:

The integration with other tools like Trello, Asana, and QuickBooks is seamless, allowing for a more streamlined workflow. Additionally, the reporting feature is robust, providing detailed insights into how time is spent, which is crucial for billing clients and managing productivity and what not.

Nachteile:

While Harvest is great overall, it has a few drawbacks. The most significant one for me was the limited functionality of its mobile app. While it works well for basic time tracking, some of the more advanced features, like detailed reporting and invoice generation, are better suited for the desktop version. Depends on what year are you reading this things ofcourse might have gone better. Additionally, the pricing structure might feel a bit steep for freelancers or small teams, especially when compared to other time-tracking tools that offer similar features at a lower cost. However, comparing features alone doesn’t always capture the full experience of how smoothly the software works in practice.

Excels at time tracking and expenses, don't look for more.

Does exactly what it says it can do, track time and it does it well.

Nachteile:

Only does one thing for the monthly price that adds up per seat.

Simple tool to get started but lacks potential to scale

Kommentare: Its a simple product that can be quickly setup and used for simple time tracking and invoice generation.

Vorteile:

Ease of use. Theres basically nothing you can do wrong.

Nachteile:

The small amount of functionalities and the lack of customization possibilities.

Easy to use for individual time tracking and project time tracking.

Kommentare: Overall it's been a good experience. I've been using it for the past 1 1/2 years to manage my own time and also track project time for clients.

Vorteile:

I like that it's fairly intuitive. The user interface is clean and friendly. It integrates well with Google Chrome. I find it easy to set up projects and track time.

Nachteile:

I wish on an individual time card you could see what time (clock time) was logged instead of total time. I.e. see that 10 minutes was logged from 9:00-9:10 instead of just 10 minutes total.

time tracking at its best

Kommentare: really happy with it and can adjust requirements per client/ project needs - its quick and simple to manage timers throughout the day and stop/ start as needed

Vorteile:

simple to use and integrates to other project management tools, sits as an app or can be used on a browser - includes a mobile app so can track time when out the office on client meetings / visits

Nachteile:

time tracking continues unless you stop the timer so on occasions you close down for the day and if you forget the timer running it will continue until the following day! id does email you but if you don't look at the email then you miss it!

Ease of Use is second to none!

Kommentare: We've had an excellent time implementing and training staff with Harvest. It's exporting to our Quickbooks is excellent, and I'd recommend it to any small business as the cost is totally worth it.

Vorteile:

We were able to implement Harvest within an hour and train all staff within another hour. The ease of use is excellent, and reoccurring invoicing has been super helpful.

Nachteile:

We've had a few issues with numbered invoices going from 100 to 400 (example) and support wasn't the easiest to work with.

Industy-leading Time Tracking and Invoicing

Kommentare: Harvest has benefitted our business since inception. I tested all the tools, and this is the one we use and recommend to everyone we know with a SMB.

Vorteile:

Harvest has the best time-tracking in the industry, their Mac app is perfect for capturing time throughout the day (and even has a built-in notification if it thinks you've left it running and will auto-adjust accordingly if you let it). It also has deep integrations with other Project Management tools that mean you can easily track time wherever you are. And then you have estimates and invoicing - which again, seamlessly integrate with the time tracking functionality to make your life easy.

Nachteile:

It'd be great if they had an estimate to project function that could auto-setup a job when an estimate is approved. Currently this is the only manual feature. Retainer reports are also a little confusing as they don't obviously isolate actual payments from retainer balance updates.

It simplifies time tracking and is easy to use

Kommentare: It eliminates the complexity and difficulty of keeping track of time and is very easy to use. We can see how much time is being spent on which projects and for which clients.

Vorteile:

Harvest is a convenient tool for keeping tabs on time and money spent on various projects and clients. We use it to monitor expenditures in real time and to plan for future initiatives by analyzing past work and resources.

Nachteile:

There have been no problems where I have been unable to complete a task. There aren't any serious issues, however, the platform might need some further functionality since it's so basic.

Harvesting you time correctly

Kommentare: Harvest is great. It helps my Job keep track of multiple clients and what I do for them. Makes it easy to break down each task and even comment about the task

Vorteile:

I like how if you have to manually enter the number of minutes into the system and it converts the time to the decimal percentage for you. Harvest doesn't make you have to stop and figure it out yourself

Nachteile:

Very touchy. If you accidentally hit enter or esc you must start all over

Perfect Product for a Sole Propietor

Kommentare: I've been using Harvest for nearly 10 years now. I love that it's feature-rich without being overcomplicated. I couldn't be happier.

Vorteile:

Harvest is affordable, but so feature rich and easy to use. I can track my time (I actually integrate with Timeular for this, but tracking directly in Harvest is easy, too.) keep track of project budgets, invoice and get paid via Strip integration, then reconcile everything when it's time to do account and taxes.

Nachteile:

Occasionally I have trouble navigating to the information I want. Updating an invoice without updating timesheets should be easier.

High quality timesheet tool

Vorteile:

Quality. The UI is very slick; they've really gone deep on how people use the product. Things like keyboard shortcuts and supporting regular vs decimal time when entering timesheets are a real time saver.

Nachteile:

Some of the month-by-month project reporting requires paging through each month. It would be nice to see several months in one view.

Kommentare: It has facilitated and decreased the tension of submitting and justifying my timesheet at the end of the month I will be using it always.

Vorteile:

I like the description which is being added for each task and has decreased the amount of my effort at the end of the month for submission of my timesheet and I don't need to add further justification for my overtime and other tasks during the official and unofficial hours.

Nachteile:

There is nothing to be least liked about harvest.

Time Tracking with Harvester

Kommentare: Great, i think has some comprehensive feature and makes everything in one place when is regard to time-tracking.

Vorteile:

When working with multiple projects and clients, time-tracking can be a must and for me is crucial. What i like most is eas of use because is user friendly and integration options with mobile access.

Nachteile:

Nothing yet, but would be greate to have a desktop app.

Harvest Has Been a Reliable Time Tracking Solution

This time tracking software has been easy to use and accurate. I like how reliable Harvest has been.

Nachteile:

I have zero reasons to hate Harvest. Harvest is accurate to use.

Harvest is a decent tracker

Time tracking from anywhere

Kommentare: Allows us to be efficient and profitable without hours of admin.

Vorteile:

The multiple devices and ways to launch the tracker make it fit within our workflow, from phone, tablet, browser, or our PM software, time tracking is easy.

Nachteile:

Takes a little time to set up and use efficiently but once you start people getting used to the system it has a good learning curve.

A time & money saver

Vorteile:

It is so easy to track time every day, see what other team mates are working on and review the expenses / costs of a project vs the revenue it brings, helping us improve our processes

Nachteile:

Overall I feel it's a great product with very little lacking, can't complain

Vorteile:

- ease of use with jira plugin - ability to set automatic reminders in case for % project budget usage - ability to set up different rates for different tasks within a project

Nachteile:

- not able to use multiple currencies, can be painful if e.g. you have costs of employment in one currency but resolve projects in different one - sometimes finding features in UI was not as easy as it could have been - lacks automatic reminders about not submitted timesheets - it would be nice if it allowed "guest account" to share with clients, so as they can track project's budget spent live

Avis harvest

Vorteile:

The harvest software is very good software for project management. With it I save time and my invoicing is simple and fast. Jr highly recommends to everyone

Nachteile:

The problem with harvest is its high cost. Likewise, its user interface is a bit complex as well as the reports which are very limited.

Data and information is power, and Harvest helps capitalize on better understanding company time

Kommentare: Working with Harvest has been an overall positive experience because it helps us keep track of billable/nonbillable hours and analyze how our company time is spent. This data has already given us insights into policy changes that maximize performance, profit, and output.

Vorteile:

* The API is easy to work with and works well. * We use Harvest for billing/invoicing, and it saves HR/accounting lots of time.* It gives us data on billable/nonbillable work hours we have been able to examine to restructure the way we work on projects to reach our financial goals. We've already seen progress towards these goals and we could not have made these realizations without Harvest.

Nachteile:

The 'payment type' (i.e. net 15, net 30, custom, etc.) is set static at a default--having the ability to customize this per client would be very helpful.Its sales tax functionality is quite limited, even with Quickbooks integration.The desktop Harvest app is a little 'buggy', but nothing that we can't work around.

I like that is super easy to track my time and that it reads my calendar so I do not need to type the meeting again to enter my time.

Nachteile:

The project management features in Harvest are limited, I would love to see some improvements in that, like task dependencies or resource allocations
