Vorteile:

They give you a lot of features you need for scheduling and client management in a secure place.

Nachteile:

It is definitely not pretty. You would think that something that has been around for a while would have a better user interface. There is also a huge learning curve for all of our Therapist and other users.

Wonderful EHR system

Kommentare: We have been using BestNotes as our EHR for nearly 12 years and it only gets better with the updates and additional features they continue to provide. We have had zero issues and the team at BestNotes is wonderful to work with.

Vorteile:

I love how user friendly it is. It's easy to move around and complete tasks and easy to train staff on. So much easier than any other systems we have used.

Nachteile:

Probably that the examples on the training websites don't always match what is actually there. Like they make updates to the system but forget to update the examples in the training area so they look different.

Born and Raised on Best Notes

Kommentare: Overall, I felt like I enjoyed it. It was the first EHR system that I was trained on, which made it hard to compare to anything else. I thought that it was a great way to keep track of everything I needed to.

Vorteile:

I liked being able to access and modify my schedule quickly as needed. It was easy for my supervisor to also see what I was doing. We would often need to cross reference different client's files, and it was easy to do so.

Nachteile:

Visually, it wasn't very appealing. It was also sometimes not very user friendly. Luckily, we had a great coworker who was able to make a lot of critical changes to templates, and to our system that made it much faster and easier!

Kommentare: I was honestly very against having all of our files be entirely 100% online. Now, I wouldn't change it for the world. It has been a huge time saver and so helpful to have this as an option.

BestNotes makes it so easy to do all of our document tracking, document storing, charting notes, and billing, in one location. The team is very quick to respond and help answer questions and/or make changes to make it an even better fit for your personal team.

Nachteile:

I don't have any complaints. It is easy to use and learn and has been a huge asset.

Finally! Software and Customer Service like no other!

Kommentare: The customer service has been incredible. In my years in billing, there are no emergencies. So, even though I expect an average 24 hour response to my calls (experience with other software vendors) so far, I've had someone answer the calls and get my questions answered. Furthermore, what software out there allows you to see what changes you need to do live? NONE! They show you what you are doing and explain why. That allows you, the consumer, to ensure you know why you made changes in the first place. Other software vendors just give you videos and you are on your way right? Well, here comes BEST NOTES exceeding all my expectations with real live people, in the USA!!!!! that show they have a true passion for their product and it shows. On week two of implementation, I was already sending claims and receiving ERAS through the EZ Claim software! You can't beat that. And I was able to move one client over all by myself, with two therapists! (of course, BEST NOTES was there as part of my team.)

Vorteile:

What I love the most about the software is that it does not think for you nor does it second guess your intentions. It is so frustrating to work with software that is not allowing you to tell it what to do. With this program, you are in control. Don't get me wrong, it will tell you when something is not set up right. But the beauty that results from all your hard work shows off in compliance. When all is said and done, you are left with a beautiful software that is compliant in every way. That is worth everything to a practice. The pairing up with the billing software was a breeze. Populating the tables for my therapists was easy and well worth the work it took, although minimal, because they made it so easy to function. The scheduling is super easy. As a full service billing company, we offer the capabilities of scheduling, checking eligibility, populating the demographics and insurance information as well as collecting payment information for our clients. We also send out the screenings and patient application for the portal. Our clients only need to worry about seeing their clients without needing to worry about anything else. This ensures that all claims have a better chance of getting paid; not denied for front end edits as well as providing our client the opportunity of separating themselves from the billing side of things with their own patients. This produces a great visit every time and that is what we aim for. It's no different than what BEST NOTES has done for us.

Nachteile:

We were up and running in the first week alone. Being in the billing and administrative business for so long, you learn a few things here and there about switching your vendors that make it super easy and efficient moving over from one side to the other. However, with the TEAM EFFORT from BEST NOTES, we were able to go through basic training to get the practices up and running in the first week. So far, everything makes perfect sense. I have not found anything I don't like. I truly don't expect to either.

Amazing customer service!

Vorteile:

BestNotes was introduced to me at a previous employer and I loved the customer support, ability to customize for my business, and user-friendly interface. This has continued to be true in my business. BestNotes' dedication to onboarding with technical support has been integral to my positive experience with the platform. Having a portal I can send to clients is indispensible to my largely telehealth practice. DSM5, an optional feature, is helpful.

Nachteile:

Customizing existing files for intake was somewhat difficult. For example, on intake, I would prefer that some items be required to be filled in by clients before moving on to the next item. Clients continue to have difficulty finding things on the portal.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

Kommentare: Best tool I have used. If there is a preset that does not fit well, they will design it to fit your needs. Customer service is everything. They never make you feel stupid, they help you right away.

Vorteile:

The software is pretty encompassing, which means it takes time to become very familiar. But the onboarding is done through Zoom with very accomodating and professional staff that take time to cover their set agenda and any questions you may have...even if you have asked the question previously. If you call customer service, you get through and get connected and problem solved immediately.

Nachteile:

The software is pretty encompassing. It takes time to learn.

BestNotes at a small agency

Kommentare: Give your clinical and support staff enough time and training to get used to the transition to the EHR. Make sure you have a couple of power users on the team to assist others, and set very clear expectations in advance on how your team is to use the product, especially with the treatment planning and calendar features. I suggest having a learning community rather than simply trainings because staff got overwhelmed and didn’t recall what was learned.

Vorteile:

We were able to get through a CARF survey with not a lot of difficulty. The product made it easy for the consultant and auditor to evaluate the charts. It also makes it simpler to set and track charting metrics for the clinicians.

Nachteile:

You will pay extra for using features you need like Outcome measures and telehealth. It would be helpful to be able select a date range in a chart for the purposes of releasing records.

As Expected

Kommentare: It's been great. We get the use we need from it, no more no less.

Vorteile:

It is easy to create users and setup accesses. Also sorting clients with tags makes it easy to make sure employees are only seeing clients in their facilities.

Nachteile:

The application looks a little dated, and there is a weird bug that will make Bestnotes very slow and unresponsive as well as another bug that causes PDF's not to populate and you have to do a whole workaround.

My Review of BestNotes

Kommentare: The benefits of BestNotes is a company wide tool to keep up on our clients in a central location that we all have assess to. The calendar feature is great in scheduling across the company. BestNotes is quick to fix any glitches that have happened during the time I have been a user on BestNotes.

Nachteile:

I can not think of anything that I don't like... it has been updated to accommodate all my needs, and the needs of my company.

Superb Customer Support

Kommentare: The best part is that now I don't worry when I can't figure something out because the Tech Support team is so good, and friendly, and understanding - I know that we are going to figure it out together. I call frequently and I have NEVER been disappointed. In an age where customer service is becoming an oxymoron, BestNotes has restored my faith!

Vorteile:

Overall it is pretty flexible and easy to use, and is a very good value for the price. There are some limitations, and it is not always intuitively obvious how to do certain things, but the customer support is superb, and once the support team explains how to do things, I am finding the software easier and easier to use.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it is difficult to figure out how to do seemingly relatively simple things, such as print a document or scan/email files without technical support. Additionally, the file size constraints can be a limitation when working with government agencies who have extremely large patient files

Functional and fairly easy to use

I like that the records are all pretty easy to navigate. It doesn't take long to learn the software. It does take a bit of trial and error, but requires much less time to learn than other softwares I have used.

Nachteile:

One thing I wish I could do on Bestnotes is upload more than one document at a time. I think this every time I have to update or create a client chart.

Has become pure garbage

Kommentare: Used to be ok. Now with their support and better products out there, it’s WorstNotes “tm”

It’s cheap. It was great to use years ago. They were also a much better company years ago.

Nachteile:

Same basic interface since day one. Zero updates. Hard to navigate. Customer support has become horrendous. Can only use from their program. Can’t use it on a phone because it isn’t web friendly, and their “app” does literally nothing.

Exceptional Customer Service

Vorteile:

I was an owner/biller of a mental health clinic and we always knew that we could call BestNotes with any problems that we encountered and that we would receive exceptional customer service.

Nachteile:

Some of the billing reports could be updated to help bill more efficiently and ensure that claims are not missed.
