Nachteile:

Über viele Jahre der Nutzung habe ich keinerlei Nachteile vonABBYY Finreader feststellen können!!!

Nur begrenzt kompatibel mit älteren Office-Versionen

Vorteile:

Nichts ist bei Finreader besser im Vergleich zum pdf-Transformer, den ich weiterhin sehr gerne verwende.

Nachteile:

Umwandlung von älteren Office-Versionen nur sehr eingeschränkt möglich!Word-Überschriften können nicht in Lesezeichen umgewandelt werden.

Kommentare: It helped me a lot in converting my scanned documents into searchable PDF files and extracting tables and text with a high degree of confidence.

Vorteile:

its accuracy in recognizing characters and formatting the output almost exact to the input file.

Nachteile:

That it does not have very sophisticated image preprocessing, for example in the detection and elimination of signatures and seals, which in some cases makes pages saturated with them unrecognizable by ABBY FineReader.

OK - but could be better

Kommentare: It's one of several utilities I use in my work process. I still like the program but I hope the next version will be a step forward and not backward like version 16 was.

Vorteile:

ABBYY FineReader PDF makes the best OCR when I have a project with many pages. The cropping function is also good.

Nachteile:

I still use version 15 which simply is better. Better OCR, better ropping, etc.

I wanted to convert 2 word docs to PDF files and it did that but put them together.

For more better quality for Japanese language required

reasonable price than Adobe PDF, it was a compromis solution.

I miss really OCN Quality for Japanese and Comment function and "Prooing tools " like text adding, delete tools in PDF like Adobe.

Essential for ANYTHING PDF, meaning FOR EVERYBODY

How powerful it is to convert to and from PDF seemlessly, preserving all important formatting. I can create a custom PDF from multiple file formats and send it out to clients very quickly, which is essential, as I am doing everything, besides seeing my clients as a psychotherapist. I create PDF documents that are personalized for each client and they think I have spent days creating it. It helps THEM get better.

Nachteile:

It's a little clunky as a pdf reader. I wish there was a lite version that would open when I just want to quickly read a pdf.

Most versatile pdf to Excel conversions available

Kommentare: Have used ABBY exclusively to do document conversions for over 11 years now. No other app Including Acrobat is as good as this one.

Vorteile:

The MAIN reason I use ABBY Finereader is to convert multi-page pdf invoices to Excell so that they can be dissected and analyzed. I have tried all other pdf to Excel converters and they all botch them up completely with misaligned rows and columns, making the task more excruciating. ABBY is the ONLY app available that can quickly adjust rows and columns to an exact OCR match. Invaluable!

Nachteile:

Learning curve to use all the features can be a bit tedious but not overwhelming.

Of course the sense of ABBYY FineReader PDF is to create full access PDF documents with readable text. Maybe there COULD be a nice feature in adding additional pages to a scanned image with OR without previewing.
