Kommentare: We use this everyday for our phones. We test a variety of platforms on a regular basis, but we have always stuck with Asterisk because it does everything we need.

Vorteile: Asterisk has nearly everything you would need in a phone system for a small business. With some technical knowledge you can get the free version of this and do everything yourself with very minor costs to your bottom line.

Nachteile: The learning curve on Asterisk systems is steep. If you want to do anything custom, you will pretty much have to hire someone to do it for you unless you have a lot of experience and technical knowledge. Much of this can be overcome by using a GUI such as FreePBX.

Kommentare: This software allows to solve or implement any solution for the telephony industry.

Vorteile: Asterisk more than a software, it is a framework. As a framewaork, it is like a Swiss army knife that allows you to implement or solve any special requirement in telephony, call center, messaging services, etc. Asterisk is the base of a number of solutions for telephone centrakes. It is also easy to get in the market all the necessary hardware to connect with the PSTN switched network.

Nachteile: I am a fan of Asterisk. However I am surprised that to date, we are going through version 15, and the last textbook was printed in 2013, on version 11.
