Es lassen sich schöne Flächen erzeugen und ist einfach zu bedienen.
Nachteile:
Ingenieure tun sich in ihren CAD Programmen schwer, diese Flächen nachzubilden.
The Best All Round CAD Package on the market
Kommentare: If I could only have one CAD program I'd choose Rhino. The product is highly capable, excellently coded and well supported by the manufacturer. I can't wait for Rhino 7!
Vorteile:
The best thing about Rhino is that it does everything well. Solids, surfaces or meshes, Rhino is great. They have also made great strides in the drafting component of the software to the point where I finally ditched AutoCAD. The more I use Rhino the more I discover it can do. Its extensibility with Grasshopper has really made it unique in the CAD world. Its also highly extensible with a range of companion programs and add-ons. I own license's for other much more expensive Parametric solids modellers which led me to expect even higher capabilities and quality. This has not been the case. The high end products are often buggy, have poorly implemented new features and draconian licensing systems. The team at Rhino should be commended for the reliability and stability of their product. In the feature film industry where I work I have seen Rhino taking market share especially since they released a MAC compatible version. It simply offers the best bang for buck in the market place.
Nachteile:
Rhino is not perfect, there are frustrating parts about the controls and interface like all programs. I would love a more parametric approach to surface modelling. Grasshopper has some answers here, but the learning curve is very steep and time consuming. There are also times when complex surfacing commands fail for no apparent reason. Some visual feedback on problem areas would be awesome.
An Excellent CAD Software Package

Rhino 7 Ideal for Vector Graphics
Kommentare: Rhino 7 have been proven to be useful in the workplace when it comes to converting designs into Illustrator, EPS and DXF files for Contractors to use. It is very easy to draw up or trace complicated designs through Rhino 7.
Vorteile:
Converting 3D models to 2D lines or simply Drawing 2D Designs for Illustrator or DXF files is a useful and easy feature through Rhino 7. The "Make2D" functionality is very good feature.
Nachteile:
Every element such as a window have to be individually drawn or modeled. Rhino 7 does not offer presets of walls, doors and windows. Can be quite time consuming when producing architectural drawings.

Benefits and struggles of Rhino
Kommentare: The logic of the program and the way its organized is super helpful. Rhino allows me to create objects in multiple ways but there are too many issues that force me to switch programs constantly so as to be able to fully define my objects without errors.
Vorteile:
I love the logic of the tools and how theyre organized. I normally use the icons to create the objetcs i want but the searchbar allows me to create things i wasnt aware that were an option. Being able to see different views and modify my objects in all of them at the same time really helps with the flow of my work! Rhino allows me to create surfaces and meshes according to the way i think them, i can create them by adding/substracting or i can create them procedurally
Nachteile:
Every time i create something in rhino, i always struggle to not leave any vertices open. Even after having different options (like End, Point, etc) turned on, its extremely hard to join a point to another or to a line. On top of that, rhino doesnt let me know when this happens and i only find out when i try to print the file. This means i have to export my meshes to another program (i use solidworks a lot for that) so as to check for errors. I also use the boolean tool quite often and sometimes i get the (!) errors but they dont specify what the issue is so i always struggle to fix it and create the results i want. Creating chamfers and fillets is also complicated in rhino. Most of the time, it creates a different surface in the shape of the chamfer, instead of modifying the mesh so as to create the chamfer or fillet in it

Good for Drawing Things
Kommentare: It's an amazing 3d Drawing app that with version 7 consists of Nodes (grasshopper) and procedural design). Rhinos render is pretty and easy to use. Overall this program is worth every penny however it needs some time and build to be worth to use it on Industrial Enginering actively(over Solidworks).
Vorteile:
Easy to use and lets you draw in 3d. Drawing splines, lines and 3d units in this program is a breeze. It consists typing in whatever command you like so you actively use keyboard on top of the mouse, it makes you really fast on giving commands.
Nachteile:
Surface. It takes a lot of knowledge on quirks about this program otherwise you end up with an unusable surface pretty fast.

Favorite 3D software
Kommentare: Very good, i have used it for more than 3 years and it is my go-to 3D cad software
Vorteile:
Flexibility in design and modelling, very easy to integrate with other softwares in modelling or even rendering. Very good modelling features and tools, my most used is designing with rhino and grasshopper. It is very useful for both priliminary modelling and advanced. Very useful in parametric, geometric and similar design approaches. Ability to use same shortcuts from another softwares.
Nachteile:
just the grid plane background color(s). sometimes it can be visually tiring after long hours

I like the depth of abilities offered by Rhino 7. Both 2D and 3D design, integrated rendering software, and the ability to use numerous plugins
Nachteile:
Rhino's rendering can be buggy at times, and their material selection is not as easy and straightforward as I feel it could be.
It's alright when you start with it
Kommentare: Rhino 7 gets the job done and you can learn to be fast with its functions as long as you know how to use it. I found that youtube lacks resources on tip and tricks and their website doesn't offer much to explain how to use their tools.
Vorteile:
I could get used to using it's system and the commands are fairly simple because all you have to do is type out what you want to do.
Nachteile:
From my experience using Rhino programs there is a learning curve. I learnt this program while I was studying and struggled to understand the program and their export system. I believe in the interior design industry most people don't use Rhino (this is from my experience and it may differ from everyone) and use Auto CAD instead.
Rhino7 for industrial designers a walkthrough.
Kommentare: It's a great experience , i've learnt a lot about it like how to use parametric design & merge it with industrial objects for example chairs , sneakers so far and so on . The software is wonderful thats why i keep cheering it.
Vorteile:
The software is not overcharged , its very niche & you can learn it in no time by the aid of digital courses.The interface doesn't matter as well as the iconography but what matters is the work that the software is capable to do from Architecture to Industrial design . I also have seen many well known brands using the Rhino7 to create models for their designs & enter them to 3D world using only Rhino7.
Nachteile:
The tools & simplicity , as i said before the software is so simple to learn & you can learn it in no time if you give it just 1 hour a day for a month . I promise you that you'll become a professional Rhino user.
Rhino 6 - For an architecture student

Vorteile:
I prefer Rhino to other modeling softwares for the fast and smooth user experience it provides. Definitely has a lot to offer when dealing with more complex surfaces. A great tool to create without boundaries. It's extensions such as Grasshopper allow for many different modes of design.
Nachteile:
Lighting elements for renderings could be improved similar to some other modeling softwares. Since light is such an important aspect of representation today, a softer rendering ability that has more focus on illumination would be highly effective. Could bring more features to a trackpad use (in terms of rotation, zoom, toggle screen) to ease working while without a proper desk set-up.
Great CAD product for all the designers..!!!
Kommentare: Rhino was my first CAD based software as an Engineer I had to work with. I just love the software from the day one and still using for all my design works.
Vorteile:
This is a terrific drawing/modeling program. Potential of this software is actually limitless with the availability of great tools and customization. Software is simple and when you master it, this is one of the best CAD based software for all your designing works. Great learning curve is there for new comers which makes the software far more user friendly. Plus it is cheaper.
Nachteile:
Nothing much to complain about. There are few lapses in 3D modelling work here and there. But that is also bearable.
Easy to use, affordable
Kommentare: I have been using Rhino for almost 10 years now. Between 2012 and 2013, I did exclusively 3D modeling for a toy/model company where I made complex 3D models in Rhino and exported them as STP files. These files were imported into Solidworks where the company's engineers would create molds for injection. I sometimes would also use Rhino to make corrections on 3D models originally created with Soildworks. The transactions between Rhino and Solidworks were very smooth.
Vorteile:
Rhino's modeling logic is probably the best in the industry. It's easy to learn and easy to use. The files exported from Rhino can be imported by other software such as Solidworks with no problem. Works perfectly with Keyshot. Meanwhile, the price of Rhino is hard to beat.
Nachteile:
It's quiet difficult to model soft goods or other Irregular objects with rhino; but that applies to most other 3D modeling software in the class.
Very Easy to use
Kommentare: I spent a lot of time when I was working yacht designer. Generally Yacht designers use the Rhino.
Vorteile:
3D CAD programs are a little bit complex but Rhino is very easy to use ,this is very good the people who uses the program because the designer sometimes change the design and the update the design is very hard .Some designers says that the update is more diffucult to do rather than start again so Rhino is a step forward from the other softwares
Nachteile:
The 3D data need to be analysis such as ANYSYS or the other anlysis programs but they do not accept the rhino format and they always find something if it is completed with Rhino
Easy modeling
Vorteile:
Very user friendly program. Easy to adapt and use after autocad. It’s a very popular and widely used software for shipbuilding.
Nachteile:
For some angles and radius it is not that accurate like other 3d softwares. So it’s quite good for basic modelling but for detailed models and mechanism probably it is not enough.
The standard software for 3d Modelers and designers
Vorteile:
Its versatility regarding both modeling and drafting capabilities. Our team has already stop using autocad in favor of Rhino, both our drawings and 3d models are handled in the same files, providing a more managed work flow.
Nachteile:
Regarding the mac osX version (which I am using), it lacks and differs both in some features and UI from the window version. That may prove confusing when switching between both operating systems.
Simple and effective way to get edit your 3D designs
Kommentare: I'm very pleased with Rhino, I was able to get from an idea to an actual, functional object in a relatively short time and with a short learning period.
Vorteile:
Rhino is a rock-solid, professional 3D editing and modeling software. It's less easy to use than some of its competitors, but more reliable, stable and feature-packed.
Nachteile:
The UI is somewhat complicated and it requires you to lear a lot of keyboard shortcuts, but from a software with so many tools and features that's to be expected. Still the UI could be improved.
Rhinoceroses 6 great for automation with grasshopper
Kommentare: Great experience for using with Grasshopper the open source real-time modules and it's free for use. Many automations and multifinctional simulations could be processed and visualized easily without knowing the actual methods or simulation software.
Vorteile:
Had used Rhino 5 and Rhino 6 is a great update. The nurbs modeling tool helps in better designing of complex models. The 3D visualization and rendering offered are great for design discussions to final model presentation and 3D printing.
Nachteile:
rhino 6 has a heavy background processing engine that consumes lot of memory on the background. This could be during an intense rendering and the process could be used as multicore technology in addition to multi threading technology for better memory management.
excellent 3d modeling tool
Kommentare: This software has given us the flexibility to design objects in an organic fashion. It does not confine you to wall or floor planes.
Vorteile:
This tool allows you as a designer to really craft an object to your specifications. As an interior designer, this has been essential to creating custom displays and millwork pieces. It also helps in getting a concept to a fabricator.
Nachteile:
It isn't entirely intuitive. It really helps to have an introductory course or tutorial to utilize the software to the full potential.
Great software for 3D modeling small things
Vorteile:
It's extremely versatile and once you get the hang of it it's very easy to create what you want. Can be used to make a quick diagrammatical model or to create something with great detail.
Nachteile:
Definitely a learning curve takes some time to get the swing of it, especially compared to other 3D modeling software.
Best 3D modeling software available
Kommentare: Really functional software, especially for more complicated geometry (warping surfaces, complex curvature, nurb/control point manipulation). I use mostly for tie yo with Grasshopper for design analysis.
Vorteile:
Rhino is an incredible 3D modeling software that gives you the tools to create anything. Great layer and material management. Ability to tie to visual scripting platform (Grasshopper) to augment geometry creation and design analysis.
Nachteile:
To the newcomer, there are a lot of tools to learn how to use. It can be a little overwhelming of a workspace at first, but operations become easier with experience
