Effective payroll and benefits tool

Kommentare: The transition from a paper-based approach has been revolutionary for our company. The most important advantage is that it allows our managers to see all of their employees' records in one place, make edits, view their timesheets in one place, and generate reports.

Vorteile:

It gives us a consolidated database of accurate employee information. Our most novice technical trainees can utilize it with the same ease as our most seasoned executives. During the rollout, we received excellent assistance.

Nachteile:

The most desired component of PowerBI has been difficult to master. We've determined that the HR department can best serve our reporting needs with the assistance of the technological team.

Making the complex simple

Kommentare: Overall, the experience has been favorable. It's ability to integrate with other systems has been the most beneficial.

Vorteile:

The integration with UKG Pro Learning and ability to navigate on a mobile device easily.

Nachteile:

When you using it for "shift" changes there are many barriers.

Front desk

Kommentare: It has it's good things and bad things about it.

Vorteile:

This app has everything HR needs in one app.

Nachteile:

Can be difficult to find things in the subtitles.

Thrilled TO LEAVE UKG!

Kommentare: The worst. Will never go back. It is impossible to find affordable employees who have UKG experience.

Vorteile:

If you have a vast budget, this could be a great product for you. But you absolutely will spend a fortune for all the bells and whistles. Take your existing budget and triple it. Invoices come non-stop.

Nachteile:

The contract is impossible to get out of. The cost goes up by 10% each year and you MUST give an extensive notice or the contract auto renew annually. We got stuck paying for ACA and had to move it to a new company as they prepared ACA filing after we terminated our contract adn they refused to refund us. Be very careful wiht UKG, they make up random charges..invoices come in at every turn. IT is also very difficult to find employees who use and understand UKG, bc they turn all of their laid off staffers into consultants who bill at $200 per hour. Dont bother. I have no idea how this company stay in buisness. We had the worst experience in almost all aspects of the software. You are on an island with help only available at $200 per hour. This company functions like a MLM. Employers beware, you will pay top dollar for employees who understad the software or you will have to resort to consultatants....MLM. Worst business model.

Really love this except for one small detail!

Kommentare: Very good overall but could be made better with a few small tweaks!

Vorteile:

It makes it easy to do time off management and also to do payroll in all in one place.

Nachteile:

I don't like that you can't use templates that you can just use to autopopulate each week if your work hours and codes are the same.

Sold a dream, delivered nothing but problems

Kommentare: The sales team sold us on the software because they touted a support team that would hold our hand from start to finish and make sure we were never left hanging. Instead, we got UKG project managers who were completely disorganized and nonresponsive, our integration feeds took more than 18 months to create, UKG support took weeks or sometimes literal months to answer our questions, and when UKG drops the ball they still make the customer pay the price for it. We have been on this system for 3 years and still do not have all of our benefits feeds working correctly.

Vorteile:

UKGPro has a huge expanse of capabilities and can be highly customized. It's capable of covering most, if not all, needed HR functions.

Nachteile:

You have to be an expert in the system to get everything to work together correctly. UKG's support is abysmal. Reporting is extremely challenging and UKG forces customers to pay for everything they possibly can. We were left waiting for weeks or months for answers during launch. We are now being forced to pay an additional annual cost to update benefits administration because UKG is not updating their software, but of course they're not discounting our normal fees for the software.

Comprehensive

Kommentare: I used it as a workunit manager with about 15 direct reports. It's a good product overall, with comprehensive features and good customer service.

Vorteile:

- Comprehensive HR/people management system - Easy to learn and implement - Nice integrations between different touchpoints for employees (recruitment, hiring/onboarding, timekeeping, performance management)

Nachteile:

- User design and experience could be cleaner and more intuitive, especially for the employee-facing side when you have employees that are less digitally literate

Good software!

UKG Pro has been pretty easy to use and all of its functions are very useful

Nachteile:

I have had issues with logging in before.

UKG pro helps calculate payroll accurately

Kommentare: Payoll may be calculated more precisely with the help of UKG pro. More than 500 workers have used this software to do payroll faster than with any other program.

Vorteile:

The Applicant Tracking System at UKG is fantastic. As far as workflows and approvals go, it's also the top dog. UKG contains all the features necessary in an HRIS system, plus the company's partnerships with other suppliers mean that many HR and benefits-related tasks may be automated through seamless connections.

Nachteile:

When first starting out with UKG, the system can seem daunting. UKG Support has a fantastic ticket system, but in some circumstances, you may have to wait a while before a support specialist responds.

UKG Pro is Unmatched!

Vorteile:

UKG Pro is extremely easy to use! Some great features include manual approval of your timecard, PTO requests, and review of available sick days.

Nachteile:

I would like to have reminders about signing off on timecards.

Fantastic Company & Software

Kommentare: Our company still have areas of UKG Pro that are not being fully utilized. However, we hope to work closely with our UKG team in the future in order to use all the various functions of the system. I've only been working with our company for over a year, but I have had a good experience with working within the software. I've noticed that submitting cases online sometimes takes longer to receive a response. However, when I call in with an issue, the UKG service team has always been friendly and has been able to resolve my problem.

Vorteile:

Our company likes UKG Pro because it is an all-inclusive product from hiring our employees, paying our employees, goal-setting, reviews, learning opportunities, and everything in between. We like that all our employees information is housed in one software.

Nachteile:

There are certain areas of UKG Pro that it would be nice to have a process setup to automatically update information on a certain date, such as allocations and local tax changes. We live in Indiana who withholds local taxes as of January 1st. However, when employees move to a different county and submit a new tax form, the request has to be held until the end of the year. We also have several labor allocations that are only for a certain time frame that have to manually updated.

Eh… it’s ok

Vorteile:

I like that it’s relatively straightforward and easy to use most of the time.

Nachteile:

Extremely antiquated. Whole site looks like it was designed in the early 2000s.

Great tool

Kommentare: UKG is a great tool, I've being using it for around 8 years. it is user friendly and contains all the information I need to keep my work record updated. I can log on through my cell phone and clock in and out; and I can also see the menu for basic information.

Vorteile:

User friendly, it allows me to keep track of all my work-related information.

Nachteile:

Navigate to complete my yearly evaluation.

Worked great for candidate tracking

Vorteile:

I really liked the features built in for performance tracking and candidate review during a job search fill. Really made leaving comments and communicated back and forth with HR a breeze.

Nachteile:

Sometimes documents or modules can be difficult to find. Certain links are available but are broken when you go to actually get to the area you need.

Great customer involvement and appreciation

Vorteile:

The people. UKG has always had top notch people in support and relationship management. Generally, things work great, and even when things aren't going perfectly, we always feel supported.

Nachteile:

The only con I have for UKG right now is the handoff from representative to representative as the support structure is perfected and implemented. We love all of our people, but they change a bit more than I'd like.

Fast, responsive and reliable

Kommentare: Positive! I use it multiple times a week and it has been working perfectly.

Vorteile:

I love using UKG pro, it is an extremely fast, responsive and bug free software. It has detailed sections, one about your position, your pay rate, your company, information about taxes as well as access to the organization charts. I like the 'model my pay' feature.

Nachteile:

Nothing, really. So far so good and bug free!

An Overview of Ultipro

Kommentare: I use it every day 8 -10 hours a day.

Vorteile:

I like that UltiPro offers a lot of features and ease for employees. For the most part it works pretty well but there are many areas that always get ignored when new features are implemented. Please see below.

Nachteile:

I dislike the fact that we are very limited on the module of time management and Core not lining up and having to use a bridge file to import the time. This has been daunting to our agency as we need Cost centers in Salary employee timesheets to reflect where the person actually worked instead of just reverting to the allocated earnings in core. I also dislike that pending pay does not allow you to enter the employee's name once and add all the deductions or earnings you want to input. You have to do the same process over and over. Time consuming and outdated. I wish there were more features in preventing PTO from going over 40 hours.

Piece of garbage

Kommentare: I've used four different HR portals at various companies and this one is the worst by far.

Vorteile:

Clean UI and sso login integration that's about it.

Nachteile:

Mobile doesn't even attempt to offer any functionality. Search might as well not exist never returns anything, 404s randomly throughout the site. List of instructions for the app is hilarious can't even imagine an app store button.

Functionality and Ease of Use

Kommentare: UKG was easy to learn. The report writer (Analytics) could be a little more user friendly

Vorteile:

Payroll processing is the best I have worked with. Very easy to undo a process that did not work correctly.

Nachteile:

System can be slower at times. Data entry errors can be difficult to correct at times and may requires assistance from UKG.

UKG for non profit

Vorteile:

Pending pay, payroll gateway, Year end module

Nachteile:

Tax and Payment services are not responsive on some of our tax cases. Causing a lot of penalties and interests to our organization.

Much to be desired

Vorteile:

A Centralized system that keeps a decent track of paystubs and likewise information with a simple user interface

Nachteile:

very limited functionality and very buggy, app logs out very often and makes it very hard to get back in, customer service wasn’t very accessible

There is no actual support

Kommentare: I don't get how you can have an app like this and not have a direct line to a support team.

Vorteile:

Nothing as there's no difference between the old app we used and the new one

Nachteile:

They have no direct support for the company. Never had any real issues till they "upgraded" to the "pro" version. My password expired went to make a new one and it doesn't recognize my current one which is needed to make a new one. The app new app runs super slow compared to the old one. No clue why they would even change apps when they are pretty much the exact same setup.

UKG Pro: Quality Product

Kommentare: My overall experience with UKG Pro has been positive. It was particularly helpful near tax season, as it had all my payroll information in one place.

Vorteile:

It combined all of my payroll information into one place with easy access.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it limited my access and made me change my passwords which made accessing my payroll information difficult at times.

Senior Payroll Manager

Kommentare: I had no issues with UKG except IP address issues. It was easy to learn and train the team.

Vorteile:

I liked UKG for their timesheets, reporting and W2 preparation

Nachteile:

IP addresses would be great to see where employees are clocking in and out.

A must try for data intelligence
