Kommentare: Both latest versions are great and were worth waiting for. The company has evolved the technology and keeps going. Software is only getting better as time passes.

Vorteile:

Integration of the management of the customer's instruments and calibration capacities.

Nachteile:

Lack of multiple languages. Regular Windows shortcust not alway avaible (cut/paste, etc). Some module were not intuitive enough.

IndySoft makes asset management quite easy

Vorteile:

IndySoft is a quite practical way of asset management with its cloud structure.

Nachteile:

IndySoft can have a more comprehensive online documentation.

Indysoft PM

Kommentare: It is ok for daily use with no complicate tasks.

Vorteile:

easy to track equipment PM and schedule PM.

Nachteile:

The server is sometimes very slow and closes applications without warning.

Kommentare: IndySoft has given us the most efficient experience in managing our assets. It has given us a feature-loaded platform that help us to manage and track our assets effectively. It has helped us to always keep up with our assets and their their real time status. With IndySoft, it has been easy for us to handle all our assets from a single platform.

Vorteile:

IndySoft has very advanced security tools that allow us to work on our assets securely without puting them at risk of security threats. It has a very powerful reporting tool that allow us to generate detailed reports that give clear insights about the status of our assets. IndySoft is so easy to customize which helped us to tailor-make it in order to handle each asset with respect to their specific requirements. It provides excellent visualization tools like flowcharts that make it easy to create visual representations of our assets.

Nachteile:

IndySoft has not showed any weaknesses since we started using it. We appreciate all its features and have nothing that we don't like.

Metrology Engineer

Kommentare: I have seen better; I have seen worse. I would give IndySoft 8 out of 10; thank you for improving things. Please don't make it super expansive for small labs, where they can't afford you.

Vorteile:

Number of options available, search features, ability to customize the software.

Nachteile:

Ease of use; lot's of things are not intuitive (like Ctrl 1 to update a screen during event; why is there no button to update); you have to be trained (shown) on everything. Why is there no feature to close out multiple items at once? (when everything is exactly the same). Ability to Magnify "everything" (for people with bad eyesight). When adding any notes; alignment is horrible, columns spacing mismatches (when copied and pasted from spreadsheet).

Asset and calibration management Software for Aerospace industry

Kommentare: overall we used this software for one of our Middle east aerospace client where we implemented Indysoft to get the timely information and remainders about the lifecycle of the heavy machinery and tools , tracking the usage of the particular tools etc, by using this software we were getting prior information about machinery breakdown and accordingly we were able to schedule the maintenance. this has really helped us a lot.

Vorteile:

User interface is very good and Implementation support was top notch from Indysoft team

Nachteile:

For the Reports and dashboards section they should introduce the customized report based on user requirements, sometimes its very difficult to get critical parameters for reporting

Calibration and Asset management software for manufacturing industry

Kommentare: overall i have used this software for 1 year and i can say this is the unqiue and highly recommended software in the market for manufacturing industry, we used this for one of our client and setup the whole implementation process within very less time and made changes in the workflow as per requirement and scheduled maintenance for their heavy machinery and assets and Compliance Support with their audit ready documents, annd for this got appreciation from the top management

Vorteile:

I liked their customization ability, implementation was too faster and pricing is also decent one for the software product like this

Nachteile:

User interface can be improved for the software its looks outdated, rest all things are good.

The best software so far for a commercial lab

Kommentare: I am using indysoft for the past 3 years, the experience is very good.

Vorteile:

Customization and work flow setup are two excellent features

Nachteile:

- High cost specially for adding additional concurrent users - Locking coding and need to get code from support everytime we need to do coding

So far outstanding & positive experience, apart from very few minor misalignments

Kommentare: Overall positive, as it helps a lot for covering most of our QMS needs in regard to calibration input and output, and maintaining the database of our measuring and testing equipment.

Vorteile:

- Lots of options to cover your calibration needs and include all the information needed, such as submitting records/data, procedures, vendors, scheduling, reports, etc. - Very user-friendly - you don't really have to dive into training on this application as most of the features are pretty self-explanatory.

Nachteile:

- No designated options to submit reports on Preventative Maintenance. - Sometimes it runs a bit slow, especially when adding calibration certificates.

Indysoft has worked great

Kommentare: I have been using indysoft for 10 years. I can't complain about Indysoft, it is essential for us.

Vorteile:

I like how easy it is to keep track of and update your equipment.

Nachteile:

I think it could be a little more user friendly for our customers who aren't as familiar with the software.

IndySoft-the best software I've ever used

Kommentare: Love the software, love the company. They employee full time metrologists to help them with system development and improvements. That shows me just how committed they are to their craft.

Vorteile:

Honestly, there aren't very many things that I don't like about IndySoft. Like most people, I have used tons of software for many business and personal applications. I have said it again and again, IndySoft is the best software I've ever used. IndySoft as a company builds software. But they understand the calibration process and all of the nuances that go with it and have melded software and application together perfectly. There are a large number of standard characteristics available as-is and an endless number more of potential custom fields/attributes that can be created and applied to make your calibration system truly one of a kind. Layouts/views/formats are all fully to your liking and easily modified without assistance, yet their Help Desk is always there to get you past a bump or to assist with any overaly complicated modification you can think up.

Nachteile:

The only thing that I would like to see improved is the classifications and naming of the available fields. As mentioned above, the number of fields that can be utilized is limitless. But sometimes the names are abbreviated or identified differently in some areas making them a bit difficult to follow through the system. Similarily, some fields are simply checkboxes (which serve a great purpose) but it's not always easy to identify exactly what each field or group of fields is capable of. So there is often some time lost to-trial-and-error when creating new functions. But this is truly minor when compared to the functionality that is available.

USL Review

Kommentare: It has been a great experience, and I couldn't ask for better customer service.

It is expensive, but we are a cloud-based user.

Calibration system Review

Kommentare: At this time, I am not really that happy with the software. Still working on getting things working.

Vorteile:

Currently I do not have anything. I am having too many issue.

Nachteile:

Everything is not at a glance. Not all of the items are working. Still emailing due list manually after two years of using software.

IndySoft does exactly what I need!

Kommentare: My overall experience with IndySoft has been great. The customer service is excellent and the software does exactly what it says it does.

Vorteile:

It's intuitive and easy to use. The ability to customize the features is great for the usability.

Nachteile:

I don't really dislike any aspects of IndySoft.

Calibrations done on time.

Initial scheduling was difficult until we found the correct contact person.

IndySoft is absolutely the best calibration management software I have ever used!

Kommentare: IndySoft has streamlined calibration for me at two separate companies, helping me to pass through seven major calibration audits without a finding. It has made it much easier to log and document calibrations both internally and from external vendors. It has unlimited storage for documents to each piece of equipment and allows you to organize those files per each event entry. The interface is very user friendly and can be customized to your organizations exact needs. It is packed with powerful data searching features, and amazing controls that allow your company to decide the exact flow of that equipment must follow during its calibration process. You can link your company's calibration procedures directly to each piece of equipment. I have used other software packages like Gage Control, Gage Trak, and EnGage, and of course the often used Excel, and none can come close to the function of IndySoft. This software is very powerful and just keeps getting better!

Vorteile:

IndySoft is incredibly user friendly, straight forward and packed with powerful customization features. It allows your organization to determine exactly what features and level of database access each user has. As an administrator you have full access to change any data that needs to be cleaned up. I have used this extensively to rebuild two separate databases filled with errors. If you are halfway technically minded and know the right questions to ask, IndySoft support is quick to answer and resolve your technical issues. The learning curve for this software is small, as it is very intuitive with its fully interactive and customizable Flowchart interface on its home page. Most users can perform all of their functions from two main screens "Home" and "Equipment View". Seaching your data is very simple with IndySoft's easy to use SQL search statements that you can select from a drop down menu. IndySoft is built with traceability in mind. Every change that an end user makes is recorded in its Events history. Even if a user has system permissions to delete a history record, a hidden history log records this change with Who, When, and What information permenantly logged. It's auto generated Stickers, Certificates and packing slips. Then there is the huge benefit of Mass Updates that you can perform on your own database. While this feature is limited to System Administrators, it makes the correction of bad data im-ported from from a competing software so VERY easy.

Nachteile:

The only thing that can sometimes be inconvenient is that the software's two main data trunks, "Equipment" and "Events" do not talk during SQL searches. Other than that I do not really have any cons for this software package. This is not to say that it is perfect. It is not. That is what continuous improvement if for. But I believe that IndySoft is constantly working on making improvements. Most of the short comings I have encountered in my usage, IndySoft support has been able devise a highly serviceable work around that could be added to my application. Like when they wrote a script to auto fill the "description" field from three other fields. This one script greatly improved the consistency and search-ability of my database.

If you like customization a lot this is your software

Kommentare: Using Indysoft 10 years ago is different than using it now since they really stepped up on their support. With so much available to learn on the software now they have built a library of information and they reach out using YouTube videos and tutorials which helps a lot.

Vorteile:

Software can be tailored to whatever unique needs or applications you may have. Most software out there can be limited to whatever is canned by the designers. Indysoft is different in a sense that data can be exported in so many different ways and can be integrated to other software such as MetCal or Quickbooks but it requires familiarity with SQL to fully use its potential.

Nachteile:

If you are the type of user that wants something basic to run your process out of the box then you might not like this very much. You will love this if you're familiar with coding since it's a very powerful software that needs steep learning curve.

Review

Kommentare: My overall experience with IndySoft is a positive. Once the system has been set-up, it does an excellent job in keeping our Metrology Dept. in compliance with Regulatory requirements. I find the system to be an asset to help me manage work flow and aid as a tool to review and approve employee's work.

Vorteile:

Minimal screens to execute once system is set-up. Basic report functions are good. Can use system remotely from home. Delineate between basic equipment and reference standards in system. Won't allow past due reference standard to be added to calibration event.

Nachteile:

PrintBuilder is a challenge to use. Cannot effectively delineate between Calibration procedure process and documenting limited range/accuracy requests from users. Number of fields available in Event Finder is too limited (hopefully better once we roll up to Version 12?). No effective way to run a report to verify calibration events related to suppliers when date done is back dated to suppliers "Date Done".

Best Metrology software in the business! We run the whole lab off of the software. Great support.

Kommentare: Record keeping. We run the whole lab on this software. From supplier control to Document control systems and corrective action. Huge benefit in being able to link all these systems together. You could adapt this software to anything.

Vorteile:

Configuration. Being able to adapt the software to the needs of the lab while staying in the framework of the application. Not that you need to change that much out of the box.

Nachteile:

System does not support electronic signatures from customers at time of pick up. Would like to see a system that allows for signatures such as FedEx, UPS. Customer comes to lab and can use a signature pad to sign for equipment picked up. On-Site or delivery would allow for signature that customer received the equipment or service. A Gage InSite lite could be used on a Tablet PC that is synced with the application to allow for this.

Daily user of this software as a Calibration Tech.

Kommentare: Helps me keep my day-to-day calibration data organized and reportable.

Vorteile:

The Indysoft software has been reliable and relatively straight-forward to use. A large variety of reporting options are available. Gage calibration data is quick and easy to import to the system from outside calibration labs.

Nachteile:

A variety of functions on the software just aren't intuitive and calling in for assistance is not always a valid option.

Vorteile:

Software is easy to use once it is set up. Other technician can easily start using it once they as trained.

Nachteile:

Sometime not as easy to use, will have to make some changes to make it apply to what we are doing here.

i most like the ability to modify the software and use sql to make it do what we want. tech support is great.

Nachteile:

I wish there were more test point wizards so that we didn't have to use templates when creating new equipment

Easy to use

Vorteile:

The web tier makes it easy for me to calibrate instrumentation any where on the production floor from several computers.

Nachteile:

Web tier tools printing application could be improved, for instance having labels sit and wait to print until i am at the location with a printer (without reminding me every 30 seconds that there are labels to be made).
