Great for business growth

Kommentare: Ease of use is awesome and the Integration with Omnitracs and EFS Fuel System is a plus

Vorteile:

This software has allowed our business to grow and fluctuate with the company needs. Also it enabled our employees to work from home when needed. Great for asset building trucking companies such as ours.

Nachteile:

Actually have no complaints. This software has everything I need

Kommentare: I use every day for 5-day work week its ease of using make it a blessing to get your work done

Vorteile:

The easy of account payable and account receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and the tax information such as 1099's and W2 printing and filing the tax form electronic

Nachteile:

The vacation schedule doesn't notify you when I person request vacation, payroll batch can't be redated you must undo everything if you have a wrong date on the batch and redo it all

Is not a bad product my company has been using for years

Kommentare: it is not bad would recommend to others with a few suggestions of improvement

Vorteile:

it has been around for forever and I am comfortable using it.

Nachteile:

doesn't integrate with our eld provider and does not have correct options when inputting safety sensitive stuff for tracking drivers files

Not a Great Product, Get Anything Else

Vorteile:

It served its purpose before we transitioned to a better product.

Nachteile:

- Slow - Crashed a lot - Could not import excel documents - Zero controls

PCS a pretty solid TMS

Kommentare: It does its job. I do however, after 9 years of using this system, appreciate how many different aspects of my business PCS can handle.

Vorteile:

PCS is extremely robust and can handle all aspects of my business.

Nachteile:

Customization and new features take much longer than anticipated.

We moved on...

Kommentare: Not great. It did the job for dispatch, but we found a much better system for a better price.

Vorteile:

It was a system that kept everything in one location and had the ability to add on features.

Nachteile:

It seemed outdated, wasn't very easy to use. We needed more flexibility and ways to edit the information.

PCS Review

Vorteile:

It's quick to get KPI's etc - also billing

Nachteile:

I want to see driver payroll on each one what my gross is instead of me tallying it up

PCS for PDM Transportation

Kommentare: Very good, it has made us more efficiant.

Vorteile:

The integration of both, Trucking dispatch, with accounting, safety, now mobile Express os very handy.

Nachteile:

We can't reconcile credit card statments, like we can a checking account, or like we can reconcile, cc with Quickbooks.

Back to PCS

Kommentare: We used PCS from 2016 up until 2023. Switched to a different TMS and now back to PCS. Overall it is a good system.

Vorteile:

Not sure yet. Have only been working with it for a week this time.

Nachteile:

DOB needs to be on the drivers screen in Driver Compliance Can't make screen bigger Kicks people off or just freezes up several times during the day

PCS Review

Kommentare: Neutral. Not as efficient as we thought.

Vorteile:

Pulling rates instead of manually entry. Customer service and Development team are awesome.

Nachteile:

not efficient for Intermodal Drop and Hook business. Some development to meet our needs took longer than we were advised.

Covers all bases for trucking

Vorteile:

Handles all aspects of trucking without integrating other software.

Nachteile:

No response or verification when Invoices is sent within PCS system, when customers claim they did not receive an invoice there is no proof they received it.

Great product for Transportation solutions

Kommentare: Overall experience is pretty good, design of the software should be enhanced and updated

Nachteile:

Infrastructure, not user-friendly software

Kommentare: Overall, this is a great system. We have been very satisfied with the program since beginning and will continue to use in the future. There are so many features available in the system that we have only scratched the surface of.

Vorteile:

The initial set up and training was great. Support team is very responsive to questions and knowledgeable about their product. The ease of use is by far superior to other programs that are on the market today.

Nachteile:

We have a couple customers that require specific information and details on invoices and rates. There is not a "set up" feature for what we need at this time.

Pcs Review

Kommentare: It is a great experience overall, the software works great, support is always around when needed.

Vorteile:

We really enjoy all in one platform, dispatch and accounting, also security which is now essential now days.

Nachteile:

I just wish there is more ways for dispatchers and customers to interact, there are a lot of improvement on the customer portal that can be achieved also on dispatch communication that can make it easy to trace and track.

The best TMS in the industry.

Kommentare: Fantastic. It's the one tool that we can't do our business without.

Vorteile:

The simplicity and the fact that is extremely user friendly. It encompasses everything that we need in the trucking and brokerage business.

Nachteile:

The help menu. The videos and the training materials are good but I'd like to see more details, specifically how to create reports.

I like that accounting module is included with dispatch

Great System!

Kommentare: I've had nothing but great experiences with PCS TMS.

Vorteile:

Very user friendly - can use from start of a load to invoicing. The PCS team members also send training and host gatherings to learn more about their product.

Nachteile:

Not specific to tankers / gallons / lbs - more specific to box trucks, flat beds. Can't track last contained.

On the fence

Vorteile:

It made payroll a bit easier than doing everything by hand.

Nachteile:

The mileage is often wrong. I'm still running it by hand. The dispatches are usually out of order, you are not able to see what drivers and trucks are not assigned to loads.

Easy to use for dispatch and drivers, easy from a drivers standpoint

Vorteile:

I use PCS as a recruiter/ HR standpoint And find it easy to use and teach new employees how to use.

Nachteile:

I wish it had better reporting functions,

Nachteile:

For over a year now, our driver pay has not calculated correctly. As a result, we have to spend time manually calculating pay and our historical records in PCS are of no use. We have opened a few trouble tickets on the issue, but none of the "fixes" have worked.

User friendly but support is lacking

Kommentare: It's a good system but you have to willing to deal with workarounds.

Vorteile:

It's pretty user friendly so it's not hard to train staff or carriers on it. We've grown a lot since we implemented and we never would be able to handle this volume level without it. It's helped us save time and money. We have a lot more control and visibility.

Nachteile:

The support has deteriorated significantly and it's incredibly frustrating. Tickets that could have been resolved in 15 min a few years ago now require multiple follow ups and weeks to complete. We've had requests for enhancements in the "queue" for years.

Shuts down periodically. While working from home connected to WIFI it will sometimes shut down.

Great Software/Big Price

Kommentare: I've had a very good experience with PCS. It wasn't often that I required customer support but when I did they were prompt about looking into the issue and informing me of a solution. Some of their support personnel have been there for many years.

Vorteile:

I've been using PCS TMS for 20 years. PCS has added many features over the years and has done a great job integrating the entire range of their product from order entry, through the dispatch process all the way into a great accounting package. If your a fleet larger than 5 units I would highly recommend this software

Nachteile:

Cost is too high for a small fleet. We recently scaled back our operation to a 2 truck fleet. PCS requires a minimum of 3 users which puts their monthly cost out of reach for me. I wish I could stay on their platform but they have made it clear with their pricing they are not interested in servicing the very small fleet sector of the industry. So after 20 years on their platform I will be forced to move on at the end of 2023.

PCS Review

Kommentare: I like PCS but their support was pretty bad. It has improved but as with most tech driven companies it is still not great. They have some really great people but maybe stretched too thin.

Vorteile:

I like the TL platform. The LTL platform works okay for our consolidation. Accounting function works well for me. I do not do the day to day accounting work, but the information is need is easily obtainable.

Nachteile:

Not really a fault of PCS but I wish the LTL platform was geared more for consolidation. We have to do several work arounds to make the system fit our needs.

Good for the money

Vorteile:

Great customer service, ease of use, integration.

Nachteile:

At first (15 years ago), I had to beg them to implement changes, they wanted to charge me $8,000 for customizing features that are now standard.
