With the Autopost function one no longer needs to individually post insurance payments to each patient; payments can be mass posted from any insurance with ERA availability. One can also use the validations function to directly transfer patient balances from auto post without having to go patient to patient after auto post functions are completed. eThomas staff are constantly updating the features, and even take feedback from users on what new functions to add or modify with each update. It is an all inclusive appointment, demographic, and billing program that can make medical billing an easy task for users and providers alike. > > **Nachteile**: There are only minor details that are not yet perfected with this program. There is a slight lag in the system when there is an excess of users or data in any one system. At times one can end up working faster than the system and get stuck having to force close the program, or it will just get stuck in a frozen state. Alternately sometimes one can be working and the system can force close itself. This is not to say that this is not also a cause of what type of system one is running their program on. Appointments/ schedules are also only available for one user at a time. Its eary data entry...although at this point you shouldnt have to do that much data entry....not basically nothing.... > > **Nachteile**: Oh where to start- If the copay differs from the eob ( a pt hits there ded or OOP) then the eobs either doesnt auto post or create a negative balance, take your pick on which nightmare you want because there incompetent staff will just reassure that thats how its done. They have this "awesome " function that if the pt make a payment ahead of time or pays for a future session it will create a "prepay" which later you have to add a payment to which then makes it look like the pt paid more and if you dont then it just sits on the t balance. If you manually post eobs there is no way to audit the check for accuracy. It posts to each pt not as a whole check, so you make a mistake on the amount...well good luck. They charge you for support, but thats a joke also. They will admit that something is an issue, say they will figure it out then follow up with, thats how the system is suppose to work. If you have a group, well thats fresh horrors- HAve to move a payment around? Well the system doesnt understand that the patient payment maybe moved and wow... your going to pay your provider 2, 3 4 times over\!\!\!\! And nothing connects\!\! you have to have a separate EMR so you have to manually put in all the claims, a separate Credit card processer which you have to separately put in all the pt payments, then of course a separate clearinghouse. I doubt they updated anything since the 1980's. > > Horrible, do not recommend\!\!\!\!
