Great School Management System that offers Solutions to most of your business requirements.
The support team are always friendly and available during operating times. Tickets raised will be escalate when required to meet business needs.
The customisation / resource team find solutions when sometimes we cannot see one ourselves.
There are a variety of training options that includes Group sessions at there site or onsite personalised training at the College.
When an issue does occur with their product they own it and fix it and normally with an easily applied patch.
Upgrades are quick and can be out of teaching hours where required.
A very reliable system and company.
It covers most areas of our business requirements so there is not the need for integration between systems. Easy to customise to suit our requirements and easy to Brand with College specific logos and fonts. Supports most other systems required by the College that are not incorporated in the solution. EG Oliver Library system, a variety of Timetabling Solutions and Postal Address Validation tools.
In its current format not all of the functionality is web based but they are working on this.
-Improved efficiency and customer service, reduced administrative costs in some departments and greater access to and availability of strategic information.
-Synergetic has proved to be a reliable and robust system - system availability is a vast improvement over previous systems.
-Synergetic were very responsive in the early years but there has been a noticeable drop in support levels/lack of product knowledge on the support desk.
-That it was an integrated solution allowing our school to move away from administering multiple standalone systems to one centrally managed solution designed specifically for the school environment and particularly 'private schools'. -We could see Synergetic was going to make a huge and positive difference in helping our staff deliver high quality service consistently to our school community, and that administrative tasks for teachers would be made easier, freeing them to focus on classroom teaching. -Email and SMS communication capability and ease of use greatly improved communications with the parents, students, staff and alumni. -When we rolled out Synergetic 15 years ago integration with other systems was not really a consideration but it is an important requirement these days and Synergetic has been quite proactive in this area i.e. it integrates with our LMS, Boarding and Online Forms systems. -The Community database provides for greater accuracy, faster entry of changes, reduction in errors/oversights and improved customer service. -Junior and Senior School are now using the same software system and processes for all facets of day to day school operations . -Document Management – all correspondence with community members can be scanned and uploaded against their Synergetic record for easy access and retrieval
- Administering Attendances and Absences is far too complex. - The web application has limited functionality and is 'clunky', and there is much room for improvement around usability. -Email management - no easy way to manage unsubscribes and bounced emails, limitations of the authoring tool - no analytics available. -Some new features/modules seem to be rolled out with insufficient due diligence and testing i.e. online forms builder, co-curricular electives modules, HROnboard integration missing key ‘preferred name’, xml online applications import can't work without running the FUTENQMERGE user form.
OK Product, Terrible Support

Abysmal support every time something goes wrong. It feels like the Synergetic staff don't even know how it works. Everything it felt like everything that could go wrong with setting up a new instance did go wrong from synergetic's end. Product in general feels outdated and clunky. Feels like it's from the 90's.

Kommentare: I have NOT had any major problems with Synergetic ever. I DO have problems with the way Manuals are written as most of the times they either state the obvious (eg. PrintFlag IS a PrintFlag) OR the explanation is so convoluted that even things I know 'WHAT and HOW' do not make any sense when you read about them.
Logical, easy to use. Example - it takes 3 hours to set Assessments/Reporting for the whole school on Synergetic and then it is LOCKED. It takes days to set the same up in SchoolBox and then requires weekly monitoring as anything that WAS set up by Admin can easily be change by ANYONE with the access. As it is logical and easy ( a few clicks to get to the required destination), the staff finds it easy to use. Once again, it took me 30 mins of training to teach all that staff was needed for the Continuous Reporting as oppose to they are still struggling with SchoolBox after one year of use. I have not come across with the problem which could not have been solved. Easy data input and easy data extraction. Tables and views MAKE SENSE. Once again, comparing to CareMonkey (operoo) and SchoolBox, Synergetic provides a wide range or ready to use reports AND allows AND trains the staff to customise or write their own reports. NO such luck with either Operoo or SchoolBox. Operoo claims that they cannot grant access to their database (?that would actually be MY data) and SchoolBox promised to create ONE FITS ALL (...?) Assessment Report for the last 3 years. We are still waiting. GREAT Support Team. I wish they have better support themselves from the Developers. It takes a long time to get software problems resolved - last example changes in Chrome prevent parents paying Applications Online.
I do not have any problems HOWEVER, the main complaint I hear from the management - * the 'old' look * not interactive * dashboards are very expensive * very limited abilities to modify Portal - ex present graphics on the Assessment Page.
