Vorteile:

Wer Apple nutzt kommt kaum an iMovie vorbei, da es kostenlos zur Verfügung steht. Für den grundlegenden Videoschnitt ist die Plattform vollkommen ausreichend. Es können verschiedene Übergänge eingefügt werden und Bild von Ton getrennt werden. Dateien lassen sich leicht einfügen und gut bearbeiten.

Nachteile:

Der Export in andere Dateiformate ist sehr langwierig und beansprucht mitunter die komplette Leistungsfähigkeit des Macbooks.

Kommentare: I use iMovie weekly for my content editing needs, and have no desire to learn a new editing software! It works great for me and integrates my audio, video, transitions, and text elements cohesively and easily.

Vorteile:

iMovie is a great jumping off point to learn how to edit content. It's relatively user friendly and once you get the hang of it you can go quite quickly.

Nachteile:

I have found it at times difficult to get help on using certain features and have had to spend time googling outside sources for tutorials.

Absolutely perfect for the basics

Capcut does offer more options (AI subtitles, more color grading options, effects, etc)

Not your typical video editing software!

Kommentare: There is no point in opening a fully-fledged video edting suite on your computer just to make quick edits if you're not working pro in video. iMovie is great for that, and export settings help to share videos easily too.Our clients love to use it because of its simplicity, we love to use it for its efficiency and fast process to a good result, when the task can allow it.

Vorteile:

iMovie is definitely the easiest video editing software to get started with. Without rushing you into pro-minded gibberish, you can make professional looking and engaging videos.Templates is the software's strongest feature. In just a couple of clicks you can customize them to fit your desired results.Its integration with MacOS is pretty much flawless, and does not require a perfect knowledge of your computer to make thing work either.

Nachteile:

It seems to be a very hard thing to make a simple video editing software. Microsoft and Adobe tried and still try to make some worthwhile alternative, but iMovie seems to be the only one who can take a newcomer's ideas and help him produce something fast.Of course it's not Final Cut Pro X, so don't expect nesting, color grading or other professional-level features but still, iMovie makes a great job at being a first dip into what may become a interesting hobby for those who don't own pro video gear.

iMovie A Tool That Stays Relevant

Kommentare: iMovie is by far the easiest video editing tool I've used. While I wouldn't try editing a feature film with it, it works great for quick edits of social media content.

I liked the ease of dropping in content to edit by just dragging from my computer.

Nachteile:

It doesn't have all of the professional-level features of some other platforms.

It's the most basic movie editing software, and also very ubiquitous. It doesn't too many features, but it doesn't take too long to get up to speed with editing.

Nachteile:

When it comes to making small edits, like tiny video cuts or slivers, sometimes the controls with iMovie are a bit cumbersome to make delicate changes.

Kommentare: Overall experience with iMovie is very much positive. There are a lot paid softwares that don't offer nearly half as much as iMovie does. The quality of your videos doesn't suffer a lot and generally helps your simple editing well. I can recommend iMovie to anybody who doesn't need professional level editing tools!

With iMovie the most obvious positive thing is its price - free! For a free app iMovie brings you a lot of tools to help you create whatever you want! I've personally used iMovie for my drum and guitar covers and it suits my needs very well. You can add separate tracks of audio to your video very easily. Overall experience is very smooth and the app functions properly. Your work is safe with iMovie!

Nachteile:

The only negative thing about iMovie when using a mobile device is that sometimes it's hard to fine tune stuff with your fingers on a smaller screen.

I like how convenient it is because it is in your phone and if your are a grandmother who wants to create a hip video of your grandkid's football game then this is the one for you.

Nachteile:

Everyone is very general and basic so if you want to do any advance videos or anything more complicated then this is one it for you.

iMovie is wonderful

If you want to be a YouTuber and not have to pay for editing software, than iMovie is the way to go. Its interface is easy to use and you can easily add music and whatever else you need to add. You can click and drag clips around and easily insert video where you need to. It’s very straightforward and is easy to use.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the updates make it act weird. Sometimes footage isn’t able to be placed into iMovie, but we do the best we can.

Free Film Editing Service 10/10

Kommentare: Overall my experiences with iMovie have been great considering I am not a professional editor. I tried using iMovie years ago when I started making videos. For free service and beginner level, this is 9/10!

Vorteile:

One of the things I like most about iMovie is that it is free and it’s also available on Apple products. For anyone that may not want to spend money on other film editing software, iMovie is definitely recommended for anyone that loves to edit movies or videos without spending any money.

Nachteile:

One of the things that I dislike about iMovie is the limited options. iMovie offers free software for editing however for someone that wants to professionally edit video as a career or etc, there are plenty of editing software such as Adobe that offers professional services for a fee.

It gets the job done.

Vorteile:

I am not very savvy with programs like this to make movies, etc. I was able to figure it out though, which must mean it is easy enough to use and for the simple movies I have wanted to make, I was able to make the edits and such that I wanted to.

Nachteile:

I think it took me a while and it seems like there could probably be easier programs out there to make movies. If I used it longer and more regularly, it would probably get easier and quicker to create the movies.
