Vorteile:
Wer Apple nutzt kommt kaum an iMovie vorbei, da es kostenlos zur Verfügung steht. Für den grundlegenden Videoschnitt ist die Plattform vollkommen ausreichend. Es können verschiedene Übergänge eingefügt werden und Bild von Ton getrennt werden. Dateien lassen sich leicht einfügen und gut bearbeiten.
Nachteile:
Der Export in andere Dateiformate ist sehr langwierig und beansprucht mitunter die komplette Leistungsfähigkeit des Macbooks.

iMovie is a pro's pro.
Vorteile:
iMovie is quick, easy, and convenient for people to use. One thing I love about iMovie is how seamless it is in regard to video clips. For example, I can record several separate videos the same day talking about the same topics and yet the application will shuffle and stack the videos like I took the whole video in one take. That's great!
Nachteile:
There's nothing that I don't like or like least about iMovie.

Vorteile:
The Magic Movie feature is fun to work with and yet produces great short family videos which we have come to love and enjoy with kids. It is a very easy to use feature which allows the user to choose media in the phone which the iMovie creates the movie from. With this feature, iMovie has become my choice software to introduce my children to movie making. They just love it!
Nachteile:
The software is good as it is. But a drag drop feature would be useful than just adding media into the timeline.

iMovie was the first video software I used and it's... okay.
Vorteile:
iMovie was the first video editing software I've used. I can't claim it's exactly intuitive, but is it easy-ish to use. It's amazing that Apple has provided pre-installed video editing software. I think it's been a real game-changer for people to try to edit and make their own videos.
Nachteile:
It's a bit of a bloated system. I'm not sure if this can be said for ALL video software, but my computer does lag a bit when I use it. That's not to say it's terrible, but it's not light.

iMovie Makes Video Creation and Editing Accessible to All
Kommentare: Overall, my experience with iMovie is a very positive one. It takes video editing to the next level, and provides all the basic tools needed to make amazing videos.
Vorteile:
iMovie is amazing software that makes video creation and editing easy and effortless. I love the text templates, ability to drag and drop photos and video clips wherever they are needed, and the audio enhancement features. iMovie comes with great templates, and my favorite text animation is the Star Wars type text template. I also love the color filters like Sepia, black and white, etc. The ability to edit Picture in Picture and green screen are amazing.
Nachteile:
Overall, iMovie is amazing. I just wish there were more text options that included highlighted text or ability to change text outline thickness and shadow. When making videos with bright backgrounds, sometimes the text doesn't show up no matter what color you make it, and making the text bold, or adding an outline doesn't help. In these cases, highlighted text is needed, or the ability to change the thickness and shadow of the outline to make the text more prominent.
