Vorteile:
It's great that ShipTime gives you a comparison for all the major carriers. You can simply choose a low cost or fast option to meet your needs.
Nachteile:
You don't deal directly with the courier and have had issues with missed pickups but Shiptime is fairly good to help out.
ShipTime software is very easy to use.

great rates, and when we were living in Wakefield, QC, the service and reliability was great.
Nachteile:
we miss orders, because of poor integration with our email provider (every order notification email continues to be rerouted to the Spam folder, causing us to sometimes miss orders), and since we moved to Ottawa, we have not had a SINGLE pickup. Canpar never shows. They blame ShipTIme, and ShipTIme blames Canpar. Ther'es clearly an issue with communicating b/w the two platforms/providers. I don't care who's at fault, I just care that our parcels are not being picked up. We have to waste time to drop them off to Canpar ourselves. That is NOT what I signed up for with ShipTime. IF this keeps us, we're cancelling our account.

Great support and options for shipping
Kommentare: Shiptime is always prompt in notifying me of issues with a shipment and offers solutions and provides followup contact with me to ensure that the issue was solved.
Vorteile:
Shiptime offers an easy way to view shipping costs for multiple carriers all at once and allows you to ship via the method that you prefer depending on your requirements.
Nachteile:
It would be nice to have the tracking information available right at the end of the payment process for each shipment to allow for simpler options to notify my customers. It would also be nice to have a bit more support with their API website integration.

Thank you for your feedback. The Tracking information is included in the receipt when the shipment is created. If you select "Notify Recipient" an email will also be auto-generated to your customer once the shipment is picked up. You also have the option of setting up a Branded Tracking Page so your customers will receive a tracking email with your company logo and any social contacts you provide. Please contact our support team at support@shiptime.com to assist with this. As regards your API website integration we are working with both our first level and technical support teams to improve the service provided.
Competitive prices for small business
Kommentare: As an ecommerce business, we work with warehouses across Canada. While they provide shipping, we often find Shiptime offers us much better pricing.
Vorteile:
Quick quotes, ease of use and competitive pricing. Immediate tracking and stored history of orders for duplication.
Nachteile:
Unable to see availability of couriers for same day pick up. You can order it, but you have no way of knowing whether it will happen. Also no direct ability to correct problems - like drivers refusing to leave a parcel without a signature, despite clear instruction to do so.

Thank you for your feedback. As regards pick-ups ShipTime will display the pick-up window available for the carrier. However pickups are not guaranteed and the driver may not complete all pickups on the day requested. Our best recommendation is to ensure new shipments are placed early in the day to allow the maximum time available. For specific instructions for delivery we recommend contacting our support team at support@shiptime.com or via chat or phone and they can pass on the instructions to the carrier concerned.
ShipTime Software
Kommentare: Very pleased - multiple courier options / delivery services & fair costs. Customer service staff are all very easy to understand and are always pleasant to communicate with!
Vorteile:
Stores previous shipments to enable faster repeat shipments, and great shipment tracking tools.
Nachteile:
Missed / prolonged shipment pick-ups are not reported to the shipper. This information is on the manage tab, but it would be nice to receive an alert if a scheduled pickup for a client returning an order to us has not been picked up by the courier (eg. Canpar failed to pick up a return shipment for 4 days - ultimately we scheduled a non-ShipTime courier for the client to use.

ShipTime runs a report each night for missed pick-ups and you should be receiving emails with the title "Your Pick-up was Missed" with details of the shipment and how to reschedule or contact support. If you are not receiving these emails please check your junk or blocked e-mails or check with our Customer Support team at support@shiptime.com to confirm the email we have for you on file. We do apologize on behalf of the carrier for the delayed pick-up. we hope that things are now improving following the busy holiday season.

Love the easy, intuitive interface. Allows me to ship orders at a great price with many options to choose from! Also, their customer service is excellent as they always solve issues quickly and efficiently!

Great for occasional courier shipments
Kommentare: Overall, Shiptime is a great platform for the occasional shipment which I'm looking to send via courier instead of Canada Post.
Vorteile:
I love being able to compare multiple shipping rates in one place, plus getting access to higher shipping discounts through some of the carriers than I would get through my own account with them.
Nachteile:
The new Canada Post integration doesn't align with my discounted rates as a CP Small Business Customer; Shiptime rates are higher than what I'd get through CP even though my discount is supposed to be linked. I also don't like the limitations on integrations. Most of my shipments come through Etsy sales, which doesn't have an integration with Shiptime so I have to manually enter the shipment information.

Thank you for providing your feedback. We are sorry to hear you are not seeing your preferred Canada Post rates on your ShipTime account. We may need to update your Canada Post links to ensure all your credentials are added correctly so that they will display. We do also have an integration with Etsy which was added last year. Shiptme is easy and efficient, until it isn't

Vorteile:
Easy to use, efficient, but in high peaks of use can be problematic.
Nachteile:
The clear button needs to be moved away from the next button when we enter information. When we have a problem and create a ticket for a shipment, we are never answered with the las e-mail sent, so we always have to search what package we are talking about.
SHIPTIME, saves us time and money! We have solely been using their service for 8 years.
Kommentare: Highly recommended. We have been using the software for 8 years and it is one of our best tools.
Vorteile:
Ease of use. Saves us time, saves us money and is very user friendly.
Nachteile:
nothing that we don't like. everyone at our office is able to use the software without issue.

Easy to use , price is competitive and customer support is great
Vorteile:
The freight quote is pretty competitive, some times ever better than I got from the carrier directly. Highly recommended and the customer service is great, dealing with them is easier than with carrier directly.
Nachteile:
So far so good. If I have to pick one thing might be the invoice notification feature. I got the invoice notification but when I log in to my account , there is no outstanding invoice , hope they can stop sending duplicated notification.

It’s great but not the best bang for your buck
Kommentare: I’ve used it for over 3 years and have had excellent service. I only ever had 1 package out of thousands be misplaced but it was quickly located once I called to inquire

I like that I have the option to change the sending address as I have multiple businesses that I send from

It’s not the least expensive as it boasts. At times some of the competition have better prices. Also some of the fulfillment companies don’t deliver directly and use 3rd parties. This is fine but I was not advised by shiptime, rather my customers

Site is awesome for entering manual orders. The auto fil search for the address is awesome and saves quite a lot of time compared to using for example: Purolator's site.
Nachteile:
Shipping companies seem to forget about us a lot. We have to call at least once or twice a week to figure out when the company will come pick up packages. Canpar seems to be the worse.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently all carrier shipping rates are calculated on whole numbers which should be rounded up. It is important to use the most accurate number to avoid carrier adjustments when the shipment is transported. If you have an e-commerce store that you are connecting to ShipTime please feel free to contact us at techsupport@shiptime.com and we can provide the best recommendations for managing product weights and boxes.

The software is very easy to learn and use.
Nachteile:
The fine print.... there are a lot of rules for the various carriers - extra charges - that would be better if they just automatically populated into the quoted rate instead of showing up at the time of billing.

it is good other than getting a hold of support. (this was a big issue several times).
in one account only the person that is shipping can manage the package after. (bit issue).
Invoicing and account lookup is limited.

Easy to get different shipping options with expected timing.
Nachteile:
no easy quick option to stop delivery. We lost some money as we got scammed several times and tried to call but the package still got delivered.

Thank you for your feedback. As regards stopping deliveries, we do recommend contacting us as soon as possible in order to request a return to sender. Although this option is not guaranteed as the package may already be with a driver we will do our best to assist. If the stop request is sent shortly after the package has been picked up normally it can be returned once the package reaches the carrier terminal. We are sorry that you have been having difficulties reaching support. As well as the phone, we do have chat options and also you can email us at support@shiptime.com to obtain assistance. Although we can provide some support to your customers, all changes and updates to a shipment must be approved by the account/shipper who created the shipment.
Shipping Made Easy
Kommentare: Once I started using ShipTime I found that I go back to it instead of going to the shipping companies that I have accounts with. This software is just so much easier.
Vorteile:
This software offers a great way to easily get a quote before you ship and choose which carrier you would like to use.
Nachteile:
I am unaware of an option to have notifications sent to my email for parcel tracking and delivery.
Great small business shipping tool!
Kommentare: When I first started using it I called the support line often and had very good service and wait times were not long at all. I have not used the support line in the last 2 or 3 years because I had not reason too!
Vorteile:
The ability to pick and choose between different couriers, especially coming from a small Sask. Community where pickup service is not available from all providers every day!
Nachteile:
Some couriers do not pick up daily and this is not displayed on the software.
