Kommentare: Bisher habe ich nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht und bin immer wieder aufs neue Überrascht, wie schnell die Ausdrucksweise und die Mimik sich optimiert, so das kaum noch ein Unterschied sichtbar ist.

Vorteile:

Die Avatare werden immer natürlicher und großartig ist, dass man jetzt auch seinen eigenen Avatar erstellen kann. Das ist eine enorme Zeitersparnis, wenn man zwischen drin Coaching-Videos aufnehmen möchte.

Nachteile:

Das man sich im Vorfeld nicht anschauen kann, wie das fertig Video aussieht. Man kann den Avatren ja verschiedene Sachen zuordnen, wie z.B. die Augenbrauen hochziehen, um eine Textpassage zu betonen. Das würde ich mir halt gerne vorher mal anschauen, bevor ich Videominuten abgeben muss.

Great tool, highly recommend

Kommentare: Now that I use Synthesia I produce many more videos than I ever did before. I find that customers / potential customers find our video content much more engaging than simply images, so being able to create even short videos quickly is a huge advantage. In the past, I would sometimes opt for non-video content simply because there's no time or resources to do otherwise. With Synthesia this is not a problem. Overall, I am an absolute fan of Synthesia and I highly recommend it.

Vorteile:

With Synthesia I can create great-quality, professional videos at the fraction of the time that it used to take me before, although I am an experienced user of other video creation tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Synthesia is very easy to use, intutitive, and realy saves a lot of time. And the quality of the avatars is amazing. I created my own avatar using a simple self-made studio set-up at home. The avatar is great and I use it all the time.

Nachteile:

I sometimes find it difficult to set the right pace for the voice-over i.e. when the avatar speaks I need to add quite a few pauses, etc. into the script even when I deliberately choose the voice which speaks slowly an clearly. I also sometimes have trouble with text editing. For example, I often cannot select the text I wish to edit right away and need to click / try 2-3-4 times before I can change font size, for example, or the fint itself. Don't know why this happens.

Kommentare: Account engagement has been first class. As for the tool, creating your own avatar is very simple. I'm keen to test with the Studio grade avatar with correct lighting and chromakeying.

Vorteile:

After assessing with other competitors, I haven't found any who comes close with the right balance of believability and quality of their avatars. The ease of use is also a great plus. I don't need complexity of features right now. For us, it offers true scalability and believability to our videos. We are also looking to scale out to other countries so offering translation capabilities is going to be a massive hit when we do.

Nachteile:

Workspace needs some work. Inability to share Avatars in an enterprise environment. Although simple to use, and despite my comments earlier, a few extra editing tools would be useful. Being able to add emphasis to specific words over and beyond offering a phonetic spelling. Ability to slow the speach in places would be useful too. Adding pauses is a good compromise, but compromise it is still.

Synthesia Arbitrary and restrictive "Community Guidelines"

Kommentare: Indifferent and not interested in helping the customer/developer in new innovations.

Vorteile:

I do not have a positive experience to submit to this platform.

Nachteile:

Synthesia 1. “Community Guidelines” are far too abstract and arbitrary leaving too much interpretation to your censors of free speech to be predictable from the customer/developer. For example, the cancellation of customer/developer videos for “impersonation” seems to not allow for any names either for the avatar to call themselves by name, nor for the avatar to address any person by name is contrary to normal conservational language standards. For any customer/developer, the inability to use common language in your product does not allow for creative efforts into virtual environments to include live, virtual and constructive environments. This restrictive policy removes the ability to present a normal dialogue in virtual environments and is too restrictive, and NOT mentioned in the material you provide prior to purchase of your product. 2. The application of your “Community Guidelines” is punitive and not collaborative. Your “artificial intelligence” has been programmed to detect the potential of “impersonation” should flag the material in question AS the material is being produced in the development window of your product. You could easily program your system to advise the customer/developer of the potential issue during the input stage that would save many hours of time from the customer/developer. Your cancellation of customer/developer videos is very comparable to COVID level censorship and authoritarian means of silencing voices. 3. The inability to then edit and correct the flagged “violation of community standards” by being locked OUT of the materials that we were used during the development cycle means even a larger loss of time. 4. The lack of customer service and coordination over these issues is alarming and seems dictatorial. I see no effort to engage the customer/developer over these concerns, nor correct the waste of time that your company presents. For the reasons above, I recommend avoiding this company. Sythesia is Setting a Standard in AI Video Creation

Kommentare: I am thoroughly enjoying the platform, though, it would be nice to get some additional voice controls to slow their pace down. Not sure if you allow SSML tags, but that would be a simple solution until you can do a full feature build (if you wanted to go that route). But I've made several videos on the platform and plan on making many more while I have the minutes. But, unless the Starter plan provides more generative time, I will have to discontinue my account because I just can't afford that.

Vorteile:

It's very easy to use and the selection of stock assets is incredible! I love how they offer photos, videos, icons, and even music. It helps streamline the process because I just grab most of my stock items directly within my workflow. Also, the voices are the most natural sounding AI voices I've heard so far and I used to have a WellSaid Labs account. They adapt beautifully to the script.

Nachteile:

There are some editing features that would be nice to see, like additional global controls for editing multiple scenes. Also, there are a lot of connection issues that interrupt my work flow. Some of the models used for the Avatars could be a little better put together to enhance their appearance. Kind of off putting when I am trying to produce a professional video and the person on screen looks like they just rolled out of bed lol. Also, the monthly time limit allotted on the Starter plan is abysmal and waaaaay too low. That alone gives me pause for continuing my subscription long term.

Great Avatars, Love It

Personal Avatars are really great in terms of quality and voice cloning.

Nachteile:

The fact only 3 plans available and once you max out the little 300 minutes you have to go enterprise and its a dark hole coz no one says whats included.

Excellent product but langage feature is unaffordable to small enterprises.

Kommentare: Its quick once you get used to it. The AI video creation speeds things along.

Vorteile:

Avatars are easy to work with. Its also easy to set up professional looking videos.

Nachteile:

No ability to use tables and most of all the langauge feature is not affordable for one man enterprises.

Lights, Camera ACTION !

Kommentare: I was introduced to Synthesia when I joined Wallenius with our weekly safety message. Being able to produce videos with the team helps me be more productive and I can tailor the content to meet our goals.

Vorteile:

The platform is fantastic. Moving into training for future development. Our weekly safety message is distributed globally, and the translation capability is fabulous.

Nachteile:

If you try it, You will Like it. Synthesia makes time for you.

Worst Moderation Process Ever

Kommentare: The worst one that I could have. If you need to produce videos quickly, never go for Synthesia. You will eventually end up having to prove that your video is not a scam.

Vorteile:

It's is intuitive, easy to produce, nice avatars.

Nachteile:

They frequently do not approve videos due to "Internal Guidelines". The last onde was "Your video was moderated for violating our Financial Solicitation: Multi-Level-Marketing Schemes guideline." My video had NOTHING related to this. And a previous video was approved and almost identical in content to the one that was moderated. The worst part: 24h waiting review, 48h for appeal. It should be easy make an video, and it looks like we're criminals making scum. It's easier to make a real video.

Avoid this honey trap

Kommentare: Great videos that they randomly moderate and refuse to let you download without an explanation. There is an appeal which seems to automatically turn you down. I make real estate videos, nothing in the least bit controversial, but if I upgrade they may approve them.

Vorteile:

It can make very good quality talking head videos

Nachteile:

The moderation is ridiculous. They turn down videos with no rhyme or reason making it impossible to consistently produce content on their platform. There is no money back, you buy it your stuck with it.

Excellent solution

Kommentare: Better than expected solution. Can easily produce videos and content on the go.

Vorteile:

Simplicity and ease of use. Even my 14 years old son was able to get started in minutes.

Nachteile:

Nothing really. All good. Nothing i can thing of.

Synthesia Amazes Me Every day

Kommentare: I started making videos within a few minutes. easily learning the intuitive ways to create truly amazing videos with avatars that, honestly, I need to tell most people... This is an avatar! It's that good.

Vorteile:

This is an amazing product. No kidding. Now with the new personal avatars, even I am shocked seeing myself and my collegues create videos in a way that is pretty much 100% real!

Nachteile:

Can be a little slow in creating the videos and in particulat creating personal avatars. But It's really quite understandable since the quality is so good and it really is a very high demand on computing resources to create such things.

This is the Future, and it Will Only Get Better!

Kommentare: I was asked to use Synthesia by a client as part of an educational project we were working on. I had not previously heard of the platform, and was a bit skeptical as previous AI platforms I have used just look and sound "fake". I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The interface is very well laid out and easy to use. There are a wide variety of avatars that both look and sound natural. I was able to get through my workload easily and quickly - although some of the picture suggestions were a bit wide of the mark, and quite a bit of manual editing was necessary. Nevertheless, my overall experience was good, and I am sure the platform will improve as time goes by. I will definitely be using Synthesia again.

Vorteile:

Very simple and easy to use. The interface is quite straightforward, and there are a good variety of avatars.

Nachteile:

Some of the picture suggestions are not very accurate - in one video I made the Ottoman Empire was represented by a photo of a footstool! There's no way to stop the AI assistant rewriting an uploaded script - or if there is, I couldn't find it.

From mere talking heads to human-like avatars

Since I signed up, I’ve consistently requested the ability to render individual slides instead of the entire project at once. Having the option to work with multiple slides within a single project and render specific parts as needed would greatly enhance my workflow. Currently, we often resort to using external video editors to compile the final video, such as adding background music or inserting effects between existing clips—features that Synthesia doesn’t support at the moment.

Also love the advanced V3 Avatar technology that makes avatars more lifelike by automatically adding facial expressions based on input text.

Vorteile:

Synthesia turns typical presentations into engaging, dynamic videos, which was super valuable for internal use (warehouse training, compliance, HR hiring, Signature authorisation policy) in our company. The platform offers over 150 avatars, some are customizable with logos and attire changes. It supports 120+ languages, with various accents and voice options, including the ability to clone voices. Also a personal avatar feature is a killer, it's quite an experience watching myself speaking fluently 100 languages.

Nachteile:

Avatars still feel a bit artificial and uncanny. Rendering times can be long and frustrating, even for minor edits. Pronunciation can be inconsistent, numbers are sometimes pronounced incorrectly. Some AI voices sound flat and robotic, need some trial and error to find the best options.

Synthesia is user-friendly, engaging, and fast.

Vorteile:

Synthesia is extremely user-friendly. The interface is easy to navigate, and we can personalize video templates to our company brand. The platform helps us create engaging and relevant videos for our users, allowing us to enhance the quality of our online trainings and other company communications.

Nachteile:

The only negative I have is that when new features are released, the system can slow down or appear "buggy," but these issues don't happen often and usually do not interrupt our work.

A Game Changer In Content Creation

Efficient, fun & a great marketing tool

Kommentare: Excellent. I cannot believe how far the avatars have come since I started using the program 9 months ago.

Vorteile:

Easy to create the avatar itself in terms of the recording, as well as the videos. I also really liked how I could use a background of my choosing. The platform is also super easy to navigate, even for someone with no tech background (ie: me).

Nachteile:

Having to use Google chrome browser. Also, the fact that now I am spending way too much time creating many more videos as it is so easy and fun to use and see the end results!

Streamlined video production

Kommentare: Overall, I'd give this 9 out of 10. To get the full marks I need some body movement, hand and arm gestures as well as the ability to have sideways on poses and add props.

Vorteile:

It's a very simple tool that streamlines the video production process for training videos that I put within eLearning course. The mix of avatars and voices along with the tone you can put on certain words helps me create diverse content for different audience groups.

Nachteile:

It takes some time to generate videos and the preview mode does not show you how the avatar moves and talks.

Synthesia is Transforming & Versatile

Kommentare: From the first time I used Synthesia to date, I love this tool and each of its features. I've used this tool for a year and seen the continual improved transformation of its capabilities.

Vorteile:

Ability to select various Avatar's. Ease of use and option to edit script text per scene. PowerPoint like features at a higher level with more versatility.

Nachteile:

I wish it was just like PowerPoint to be able to take and existing deck and edit and move around graphic and add an Avatar with a script. I also wish one could cut & paste any image instead of just the import option.
