Vorteile:

It's hard to think of any other video editor that allows you to run full audio tracks with VST plugins in-line with your video tracks. If you're an editor who needs to do full mixes while you edit video, this is the app for you.

Nachteile:

Sadly, VEGAS Pro is only for Windows. Since switching to Mac, I've had to stop using Vegas. But I switch back in a heartbeat if they put out a Mac version.

VEGAS Pro your ultimate software for creating stunning videos!

Vorteile:

The multicamera mode is really great! If you have a video taken from many point of view, you can synch them easly and then you can move from a camera to another really easly as Vegas can merge them into a unique timeline and you can switch from a view to another with just one click.

Nachteile:

This software is really stunning, but if I have to talk about a least then it could be that there are not so many rendering filters and maybe the text effects could be uograded to a more easy way to use them. Also it could be useful a inline help that suggests and remember you which are the shortcuts to use the variuos features.

VEGAS PRO REVIEW

Kommentare: My overall experience with Vegas pro has been progressive. As my main video editing software, every time I learn something new my workflow becomes easier and my videos improve.

Vorteile:

My most favorite features are ease of importing media files, cutting and joining video clips which is a straight forward process and the many short-cuts which made everything simpler once I mastered them.

Nachteile:

What I dislike most about Vegas pro is the complexity of key framing whereby animating x,y and rotations motions simultaneously will took time grasping. Another issue that I face with Vegas pro is the huge amount of processing power it consumes making it very difficult to run multiple software at the same time

Vegas pro is good for the most part

Kommentare: Overall it is a good program. I continue to use it with caution to save after each section is edited.

Vorteile:

It is an easy platform to use. It does not take long to learn and has several easy tricks and functions. Clipping and splicing are super easy and natural. You can always find how to learn new functions on YouTube.

Nachteile:

Vegas does have an issue with rendering. Rendering takes a while on a standard computer and with over 15 minutes per video, it will crash quite often. 99% of the time for me it will always crash right as I select Render. You have to save often to avoid loss, and always save just prior to rendering.

A good video editor, but not the best

I used it back in the days when I started learning video editing. I created few gaming videos that my friends liked a lot. So, I liked how it is possible to create high quality, creative, gaming videos.

Nachteile:

Well, I hated so much the too many hours I had to spend to learn it... maybe the latest updates made it easier, but It was kinda hard to advance.

You are on your own

Kommentare: The customer service is so poor that the overall experience is frustrating at best. At worst it costs me money because i can no longer sustain a project session without the software freezing and losing work.

Vorteile:

After years of use and watching a decline in stability update after update, I am saying goodbye and helping people understand there is no after-purchase support with this product from MAGIX.

Nachteile:

Once some of the best video and audio software on the market has become bloated and unusable, glitchy, and unreliable. This is a buy at your own risk software. There is NO support. None. Nada. To even get to a support request you have to click through pages of FAQ and suggestions that are also no help before you can actually submit a support request. After you submit your request there isn't even an automatic email that lets you know your request has been submitted. I have used this software for 20 years...and I am now looking for a more reliable company. Because once you purchase, you are on your own.

My First Love in the Editing World

Vorteile:

It was simple to use. This is where I learned how to edit and I was making my first video after an hour of installing and watching some tutorials.

Nachteile:

I wanted to go pro, using more tools and integrating it with other software.

Still my main go-to after 15 years

Kommentare: I know what to expect ; its generally reliable and does the basics well

Vorteile:

Its editor is easy to use and has all the export options you would need and has reasonably good masking capabilities.

Nachteile:

For transformations or FX generation - it is still somewhat lacking. I still need Red Giant tool to have proper audio syncing

Vegas Pro: A gateway tool

Kommentare: For my usage, which was pretty simple editing of video and audio, with some effects on top, it did the job just like I wanted it, but I was well aware of its limitations.

Vorteile:

Vegas Pro is easy to pick up and use, and it is fairly intuitive for its most basic features, and learning to use the more advanced suite of tools is not very hard, which makes this a great tool for beginners.

Nachteile:

Other programs do a much better job at the most complicated tasks of video editing and effects. This is the place where Vegas Pro lags behind other more established alternatives.

It was the first real video editor I started to learn in so I have personal connection to this software. It has pretty good layout and work flow. Also great shortcuts (spacebar for example).

Nachteile:

You have modify your setup or your videos would get smudged. Also it is sometimes hard to find correct export settings.

Why is Everyone Going Crazy Over Vegas Pro?

Kommentare: We use Vegas Pro as the official editing software for our radio. It is used 24/7 and everyone is quite happy with the overall performance of Vegas. It is pretty good to handle 7-8 hour playlists. I put together music B2B for the night and work with multitrack. Vegas Pro is the backbone of our organization and it has definitely had a positive impact on our ROI. You can do a lot of cool stuff with Vegas when it comes to audio engineering.

Vorteile:

Vegas Pro is excellent for audio editing. A big window for multiple audio tracks makes it quite easy to work. The interface is user-friendly and the tools are awesome. The snapping tool provides great help to accurately place tracks. Likewise, the automatic crossfade gives so many different variations to combine the two audios. I particularly like the auto-ripple option that helps moving tracks and saves a lot of time. You can put markers and insert region, and then render the desired final audio. Batch-render is an excellent way to process multiple files at the same time. Vegas Pro is a must-have for a radio.

Nachteile:

We recently upgraded from version 13 to 15 and faced trouble rendering singles files. The new version crashes frequently. Docking panels can be tricky sometimes. We had the Explorer Window undocked by mistake and spent a lot of time figuring out how to fix it.

Vorteile:

I love how easy and approachable Vegas Pro is. I mostly used Vegas Pro 12, using it almost daily. I was pretty much always working on a project in Vegas Pro. It is much easier to get into than Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects. It's a great alternative to Final Cut Pro if you don't have a Mac!

Nachteile:

I experienced several crash issues in the past, though I am sure they have dealt with many of those problems in recent updates. Other than that, no compaints!

Terrible customer service

Kommentare: Before Sony sold it to the new entity, it was a joy to use. Now, I am actually looking to get a different editing software the actually helps its customers.

Vorteile:

The software was easy to use and as I mentioned the learning curve was quite easy. More complex operations required some research but usually the problem at hand was easy to solve and the results were impressive.

Nachteile:

Before it was sold by Sony, it was easy to ask questions and get technical support. Now, it's nearly impossible to get any help or support. Their website is useless when it comes to addressing customer service.

Vegas pro is one of the easiest video editing softwares for both beginners & experienced.

Vorteile:

Vegas pro has simple editing tools making the work easy and time saving.

Nachteile:

Though the software is nice, sometimes it crushes when you try out some effects or transitions.

Best Video Editor

Kommentare: For an inexpensive and available editing software, I always use this for its ease of use and accessibility. It is what I use rather than other expensive software that only recognizes a certain type of computer.

Vorteile:

It was easy to use from purchase with all the templates at hand. The visual layout isn't crowded and the tools for editing are understandable from the get go.

Nachteile:

Sometimes crashes for a laptop edit with big size files of videos but the best thing is it saves from the last point of editing.

Video for Graphic Designers

Kommentare: Overall, I am very pleased with Vegas and will continue to use this for the forseeable future.

Vorteile:

Vegas is, by far, the easiest to use video editing software I have come across in 20+ years working in graphic design. The layers function is immediately familiar to anyone that has used an adobe product and the tools are super easy to use and naviagate.

Nachteile:

Vegas tends to bother you with special offers and such at nearly every startup of the software. X'ing out of those can become a nuisance.

Vegas Pro Keeping up with thechnology

Kommentare: Vegas has been my go to editor for 15 years. I can customize nearly every option of a render format quickly and easily.

Vorteile:

This is the most intuitive Non-Linear-Editor I've used. What takes several clicks in other editors is a mouse-drag away on the timeline.

Nachteile:

They recently changed ownership, which was not without a few bumps in the road. Thankfully it is all ironed out.

A video editor that will never let you down

Kommentare: VEGAS PRO is an excellent editor, very reliable, and with many very useful tools that allow us to put any idea, we have into practice. The rendering process and the add-ons that can be installed to the program are key to extracting maximum performance from this editor. VEGAS PRO is a tool with which you can carry out high-quality professional work. It is an excellent program and a great alternative to Adobe's Premiere.

VEGAS PRO is a great video editor, it offers many very useful tools for audio and video editing, there is a lot of freedom when creating audiovisual content, you can do what you want because the tools allow it. In general, the rendering process is very good, it works fast and you have many options in choosing the rendering settings. The interface is quite friendly and attractive. In conclusion, VEGAS PRO is a great program, highly recommended.

Nachteile:

The learning curve when starting to use the editor can be very slow, and on top of that, update support is currently lousy. Also, many processes such as rendering can slow down excessively.

Vegas Pro Saves me in hard times

Kommentare: Vegas Pro has always helped me editing my tracks and songs, and I won't switch it as I can't find another software that beats it's praticity to find and aply functions on your files.

Vorteile:

What I like the most is praticity in Vegas Pro. You don't need a lot of time to learn the basic features of it, the record button is right in the first icon of the bottom bar. Just click and it starts recording. And is also really fast to just carry an audio track from another program and drag it into the recording part. Easily you can start editing it.

Nachteile:

Even if it has a lot of praticity, is really not intuitive to cut just a little part of a track. You need to select it, drag the timer in the right spot and be carefull to don't cut another track that can be above or upper to the desired one, otherwise you will cut all of the tracks in the same spot, and sometimes the cut part erases the other side of the track, making you need to copy and paste it again,

Always breaks when updates are being sold

Kommentare: Every year it causes enormous frustration and outrage due to having scheduled failures

Vorteile:

I've been using it for almost 10 years and it is very easy to learn and use BUT every time a new version becomes available it stops rendering and saving project files. Contact support and you get told 'We don't support that version anymore, you need to purchase the upgrade if you want support.'

Nachteile:

The fact that it breaks as soon as sony start selling a new version and support wont help unless you purchase the upgrade. It's an unethical scam

Perfect to start and learn

Kommentare: Overall I think it's a good editor to start with and a good editor to do professional quality work. The license is not that expensive and I like the fact that it can be purchased in a single payment, as I don't like monthly licenses.

I decided to edit my guitar cover videos with VEGAS Pro for its ease of use and the whole variety of tutorials that are on the internet about how to use this video editor. As a beginner I would say that it's perfect to get started in video editing. It won't take you so long to learn from scratch how to edit a video, to know the different editing options offered by the program and end up with a decent end result. At first I had a hard time becoming familiar with VEGAS Pro, but with day after day of continuous work I was able to become more efficient and finish editing my videos in less time. I'm very happy with the results I obtained and I would like to learn more to get better results, which surely with more practice I will get.

Nachteile:

I feel like I haven't used VEGAS enough to be able to see its full potential, so to this day I haven't had any problems.

Very Poor Hardware Acceleration

Kommentare: Will likely move to a lower cost, less featured software package that offers better hardware acceleration for faster rendering times.

Vorteile:

Software has a very user friend interface and alot of features.

Nachteile:

Very poor hardware acceleration support. There are editors that cost 1/4 the price and can render the same quality video four times as fast or faster.
