Excellent software

Vorteile:

Can exchange data with other research teams, even those working on projects at different trial sites.Provides the ability for electronic signatures, making it simpler to get informed approval from study participants and record it.

Nachteile:

Time consuming when transferring large data set from the application

How I use ResearchManager

Kommentare: I started using the research management to imput some patients information, it let me work remotely with other centers.

Vorteile:

How easy is to imput the information, it really helps me to look and review what other researchers in my project upload.

Nachteile:

The company I work with in the USA gave me the oportunity to use it and since the project started I haven't had any issue

Using research manager for getting committee approval

Vorteile:

Support quickly replied and forwarded me to the correct person to solve my problem.

Nachteile:

International researchers need to work with the research manager for getting committee approvals, since it only supports the dutch language the work with the research manger is very complicated. Also the open field, which need to be filled during the submit-process are badly explained. The process is not streamlined and although the Amsterdam UMC policy is to let outsiders file submits on their own, the fields do not support submission with non-Amsterdam UMC mail addresses.

Proces and Document Management System

Kommentare: It does what it's meant for

Vorteile:

Organizes an essential process of protocol routing

Nachteile:

Not all buttons are totally intiutive. It requires some training and experience.

Vorteile:

it's easy to use, in my experience access the data and put the data on the document is very easy, everyone could adapt to his own necessities

some data must be calculated in an easy way

Vorteile:

At my University, we have been using this software for the past few months to set up a research project and it is a significant improvement than we had before. It is easy to use and it makes the process faster than before.

Nachteile:

I did not notice any downsides yet, I have been using it only as of recently.

That fact that I can see how the data was filled in for a previously involved patient.

That I do not have a written Data Entry guideline.

Kommentare: The best bennefit is the cloud based all in one system for submitting and reviewing any type of study .
The system is easily accessible and supports all parties in the assessment of a study. In addition, the system has an archif function where all documents are saved. The approved and the rejected. The minutes and questions from the committee members remain transparent to all parties at all times. If a printout has to be made for overviews of studies or study components, this system is supporting this. You can sort on every detail of/in the application. This saves the secretariat and its staff a lot of time.It is easy to make overviews on request for investigators or for the competent authority when in need.

Vorteile:

it is easy for investigators to upload their study. They can follow the progress of the descission making process.... The METC has all the docs/letters/review questions/and meeting information in 1 application. The members of the METC have easy acces to the application and they can add their review from any laptop/computer or phone from anywher in the world as long as there is internet.

Nachteile:

It some times can be a bit slow , that can be frustrating!

Kommentare: we use it for data collection for scientific studies

- easy in use - many possibilities - good option to use one database with multiple accounts, even from different companies or hospitals

Nachteile:

i have no cons about the software, we use it a lot

Arts-onderzoeker Chirurgie

Vorteile:

Prettig programma om mee te werken. Het heeft alle functionaliteit die je nodig hebt voor het uitvoeren en registreren van een klinische trial. Het heeft even tijd nodig om goed opgezet te worden, maar deze tijd win je 10x terug tijdens het uitvoeren van je onderzoek omdat het systeem vervolgens werkt. Snelheid is erg prettig waardoor weinig tot eigenlijk geen frustraties bij het gebruik.

Nachteile:

Niet echt een minpunt, maar eerder ook aangehaald. Het duurt even voordat je de dataset heb opgebouwd. Maar de gebruiksvriendelijkheid maakt het erg makkelijk. In vergelijking met andere datamanagment programmas werkt het juist erg prettig.

Fijn en betrouwbaar programma

Vorteile:

Ik gebruik Research Manager voornamelijk als ERMS (Ethical Review Management System).Het zorgt voor dat het een overzichtelijk geheel waarin duidelijk te zien is wat de METC nodig heeft en welke documenten er zijn goedgekeurd voor gebruik. Communicatie met de betrokkenen zonder tussenpersoon is ook super. Elektronisch goedkeuren is ook heel handig.

Nachteile:

Op dit moment weet ik niet wat ik nog verbeterd zou willen zien, maar ik gebruik het dan ook nog niet zo lang.

Gebruiksvriendelijk

Vorteile:

Gebruiksvriendelijk portaal Goede integratie met andere systemen

Nachteile:

Bij statuswijziging is er geen weg meer terug.

Goed toegankelijk, gebruiksvriendelijk, bij vragen/problemen goed te bereiken.

Nachteile:

Wennen tov eerder systemen, oude gewoontes loslaten

PhD onderzoek

Kommentare: Inzichtelijk voor het team en overige partijen.

Vorteile:

Inzichtelijk systeem voor indiening en beoordeling van METC voor onderzoek.

Nachteile:

Veel stappen voor het zetten van vinkjes voor de supervisoren. Dit kan efficienter. Graag een appart tabblad voor tussentijdse updates van studies met een duidelijke tijdlijn

Praktisch en intuïtieve software voor beheer van medisch-wetenschappelijk onderzoek

Vorteile:

- Praktisch, intuitief portal van indienen amendementen/voortgangsrapportages- Door classificeren documenten (K3 bijv) dwingt je om eenduidige termen te gebruiken, dit komt de organisatie van onderzoek ten goede- Makkelijk contact met METC door de vragen heen en weer te kunnen sturen

Nachteile:

- Na goedkeuring door jezelf, moet het nog langs de PI en daarna afdelingshoofd, waardoor vertraging in kan komen met bijv. vakanties- Zodra een project is goedgekeurd, kan niet meer tijdens het project de 'Verantwoordelijkheid, ondersteuning, uitvoering en financiering' worden aangepast, waardoor funding verworven na goedkeuring niet kan worden opgegeven- Je kan bij niet-WMO maar 1 verrichter invullen- Niet altijd duidelijk bij wie te zijn met problemen: soms moet je reserach manager helpdesk zelf hebben, en soms METC

research manager voor medisch ethische toetsing.

Vorteile:

1 centrale plek waar alle studies gegevens ingediend konden worden. Zodra je het systeem hebt leren kennen, dan is het overzichtelijk.

Nachteile:

In het begin even uitzoeken hoe het werkt.

Mostly great

Kommentare: I am mostly pleased

Vorteile:

It's mostly very easy to use. I have never had any seriously negative experiences with the software.

Nachteile:

Sometimes not always the most intuitive.

User friendly

Kommentare: I used it for my research were participants filled out a very long questionnaire. It was easily converted to SPSS in just a few seconds. It's a real time-saver!

Vorteile:

It's a very user friendly program once you get to know it.

Nachteile:

Sometimes you can't 'code' things beforehand, luckily you can change it very easily in SPSS so it wasn't a problem

Kommentare: Overall experience is good, sending documents to the EC is easier now.

Kommentare: Very handy to keep an overview, easy to use. Always can look back at you documents.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use. Great lay out, so you can find your documents etc. easily.
