Simple, effective and powerful
Vorteile:
Very easy to setup and manage. Once installed it just works with almost zero issues.
Nachteile:
The portal can be slow sometimes switching between companies.
Authpoint a wonderful mfa solution
Kommentare: Push notification is slightly inconsistent. The other mfa mediums are consistent.

At times, the notification doesn’t appear. Have to press the check for notification in the app for the prompt. Migration from phone to phone requires assistance by MSP
Not a product I would recommend
Kommentare: I would change to DUO in a heart beat. DUO is far superior and even the lower levels of DUO is better than this.

It can at least do push notifications.
Nachteile:
You get horrible reporting if any, limited third party integration, you can't even completely integrate with Azure for two-factor. The portal is horrible. I don't even contact support unless I'm forced to because it sucks. Even your re-sellers, or at least the one I have to use, charge me to work up a quote.

Kommentare: We are using AuthPoint for us and many customers. The acceptance raises very fast so i think we could protect all customer watchguard client vpn tunnels with AuthPoint.

It feels expensive to be a good alternative to MS authenticator and protect MS 365 Accounts

This is a great and easy to use MFA solution for the end users. Very simple to deploy and easy for end users. Somoth transition for old cell to new phone.

Little bit of a learning curve to get it implemented and integrate with Windows AD.

Kommentare: My experience has been overwhelmingly positive and I use AuthPoint often and rarely have issues.
Vorteile:
I like the simplicity of it the most. We only need to use it for access into one program and it can be used through my Apple Watch or iPhone which makes using it even simpler.
Nachteile:
Sometimes the app is difficult to use after you have a major update on your phone.

Kommentare: Overall, before last week, I thought it was very stable. Easy to work with once set up properly. The only issue I have with wG AuthPoint is the fact you have to use AuthPoint multi factor authentication app and you cannot use a third-party app to set up a token on your phone.

When it works , it works great. Easy to use and for the most part stable

This MFA attack crippled my business, now WG is telling me I need to buy botnet and geo location Subscriptions.
So simple and secure
Kommentare: We use t to secure connections to Watchguard Portal so that users don't have to use a password, i'ts secure and simple for them, much more as other solutions.
Vorteile:
THe solution is easy to deploy and very secure. Its's almost completly linked with Fireboxes, so that user don't see that it's an external program.

Some users don't like to have a buisness app on their own phone

It is very easy to setup and works consistent. It is easy to manage even for the end-user with the captive portal and generates another layer of security.

Sometimes the portal is really slow when it comes to loading the customer-sites and opening the configuration page.

Vorteile:
Authpoint is easy to integrate and configure. Its easy to administer and use. I love the interface and when delegating to other users they find it clear and simple to navigate.
Nachteile:
None at this time. After deploying Authpoint about a dozen times I dont see anything thats missing or requires improvement.

Kommentare: A great product, sensibly priced with great add-on features with WatchGuards typical excellent support behind it.
Vorteile:
The ease of use, both in the deployment and in the end user experience is great. The range of options for authentication is also idea, from rolling time-sensitive codes to push notifications. It’s a great solution.
Nachteile:
Honestly nothing at the moment. When they move all the end user security under one umbrella product it will be more convenient certainly, but there are no real gripes that I have with it at all and we’ve used it for a few years now.

WatchGuard AuthPoint Good for Small/medium size company
Vorteile:
I enjoy the push notification and mobile app approval process. They do also allow hardware tokens that can be assigned to users in case they don't want to download the app.In the mobile app it also allows the user to migrate their token to a new phone by ease.
Nachteile:
Users sometimes can't connect after sending push notification to the app for approval. It shows they were successfully connected from the Admin portal though. In most case we would have to reinstall most updated firmware SSL Client App. But this would require to be in person for admin credentials. Other issue is when users remotely connect, they quickly get disconnected after successfully connecting. This has been constantly happening, could be due to the user's home Wi-Fi but still unclear at the moment.
