A great tool!

Vorteile:

ThankView makes it super easy to communicate with constituents. For me, that's alumni, donors, and students. You can customize messages with whatever your goal is, and it is very easy to do that. People also love receiving ThankViews; we always get great feedback. It makes us stand out. The platform is very user friendly, even for those not technically included.

Nachteile:

We recently hit the maximum number of contacts uploaded. Thankfully, we will be able to upgrade, but in the meantime we had to delete some old contacts. If costs are an issue, that may be burdensome.

ThankView Makes a Difference in Marketing & Fundraising

Vorteile:

We use ThankView video emails as part of our recruitment program. We send emails to our database alerting them to Open Houses. We also send Thank You for attending open house videos. We also use ThankView to send invitations to our fundraising gala, and we use it for for Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday we send out grade-specific emails encouraging donations. We also send out personalized thank you videos with students recording a video especially for their parents. We have received great feedback on the videos.

Nachteile:

It is hard to come up with a con. I've been pleased with customer service. When I have had a question in the past, the response has been quick.

Our students and coaches love making videos to show their impact of donations made to their programs. We have great open rates and get exceptional feedback from our donors!

Nachteile:

Honestly, not much. It is easy to use and we get great feedback from our donors. The worst thing is the increasing costs of all of technology platforms and ThankView is also in that boat.

Features are amazing

Vorteile:

I love to see the features before and after emails are sent. I enjoy learning about individual campaigns and all campaigns. Thankview allows you to see everything about the contacts you sent an email to and it's great data.

Nachteile:

All videos are saved in Thankview once someone records it and that creates a large library. Also, it can be hard to search the library because videos aren't saved with a specific title.

ThankView is great for non-profit fundraising and donor engagement

Kommentare: I have been using ThankView for donor stewardship and recognition. It has been so easy to learn and use. I use this tool weekly as a way to thank new donors and at other times to keep donors informed about what we are doing.

Trying to figure out how to use things by using the resource center. I usually end up asking our rep and she sends me the link to what I am looking for.

User-friendly, Fun, and Interactive Product

Vorteile:

ThankView is a user-friendly platform I employed to record student messages for our annual solicitations and send donor thank-you videos. It's s fun and personal way to thank donors and engage them with their scholarship recipients. ThankView has a selection of tutorials for each user group and their academy courses. Learning to create and personalize landing pages and record, upload, and edit videos is easy. And, if someone is stuck, there is a handy chat box to reach for help! I've been using ThankView for three years and loving it! Thank the ThankView team for their fun, interactive platform, and excellent customer service.

Nachteile:

It takes a while to send test videos during work hours. It could be due to many logging in at the same time.

Thoughtful engagment

It's a thoughtful way to connect with donors without having the standard email sent out. Donors love to receive videos of students that were impacted by their support and their success.

Not much! If I have issues, their customer support team is on it,.

I like that it is easy and simple to use and is a great way for our organization to steward donors in a fast-paced digital world. I also like the integration with Raiser's Edge NXT

I wish that the event module had the ability to capture RSVPs.

Personalized video messaging especially during the pandemic. Since then, it has strengthened our Donor Engagement.

Nachteile:

The issues have been resolved with updated annual features such as data integration with our donorbase. i would like to see more customization for data points for capturing 1st time donors.

Easy to use and impactful video tool

Kommentare: We wanted to increase the amount of personalized stewardship that our team sends without increasing the number of staff. ThankView has allowed us to use video at scale, sending personalized touches to many people with a small investment of time.

Vorteile:

ThankView is simple to use - the website walks you through the steps to creating a successful video landing page and makes it difficult to mess up. I love the ability to create custom landing pages with different imagery depending on the focus of the video. I also appreciate how easy it is to use a single video to send personalized communication to many people. Even if we don't say an individual's name in the video itself, the ability to include their name in the email and on the landing page makes it feel truly personalized. I also love that we can have users record videos directly in the ThankView system, which makes it easy to add them to landing pages.

Nachteile:

I find the system very intuitive on the whole. I did experience a small learning curve in understanding where within the system I can create branded landing pages and envelopes outside of creating them within a campaign, but that was easy to overcome.

ThankView is the best video tool to engage with your constituents

Kommentare: I've used ThankView for more than 3 years. We started using it as a simple stewardship tool, but as the company grew, I also grew in how I use the tool. It's now used for us as a way to send videos to invite people to events, request videos from our alumni, solicit them for donations as well as the opportunity to personally steward our donors. I can't imagine running my department without ThankView.

Vorteile:

The ease of using the platform, as well as the integrations with other technology makes ThankView one of my most used tools.

Nachteile:

I wish I could manage the contact lists a bit more easily, specifically the ability to easily merge contacts.

ThankView elevated our entire donor relations program

Vorteile:

ThankView allows for very easy collection of high-impact video content to send to our donors.

Nachteile:

The only thing I'd like to be able to do is bulk delete/archive contacts and videos.

ThankView is an excellent stewardship tool for higher education.

Kommentare: Overall, this is a great tool that has a great response rate from donors, to faculty-staff, and beyond.

Vorteile:

I love that this platform allows us to easily create customizable messages for our donors.

Nachteile:

It can be difficult to add new recipients to a current campaign since you have to click through the whole process again, but after a few times, you get used to it.

Feedback and Rating about ThankView - Video Email Platform

Kommentare: I absolutely love ThankView! I can't say enough about how amazing our emails/videos have turned out and how easy the platform is to use. Our constituents have told us how much they enjoyed getting these emails.

Vorteile:

What I like most about this software is that: 1) It is very easy to use. 2) The video emails are clean, professional, and fun (depending on your video and photos) 3) It allows me to send out a large batch of emails quickly and efficiently. 4) It allows me to record/request videos for the platform or other purposes very easily. 5) How their support team are responsive and knowledgeable with any questions or problems I may have.

Nachteile:

What I like least about this software are: 1) How I am able to (or not) organize the video library and campaigns. 2) How I can restrict other administrators from altering my videos/campaigns. I wish as a "creator" I can give access as requested. (Again, this comes from me being particular and OCD ;P)

Kommentare: Overall, our experience has been nothing short of wonderful. The entirety of ThankView's brand is in line with their employees. They are FUN, engaging, and challenge us to do better for our teams.

Vorteile:

Our entire donor relations team utilizes ThankView weekly, if not daily. It has been a great tool in connecting with our donors during this transitional time of practicing online uses because of Covid-19. It has brought our constituents closer together, made connecting with donors easy, and is SUPER user-friendly.

Nachteile:

I wish we could delete our contacts on our own at large scale without messing with metrics that have already been created within certain campaigns.

ThankView for easier segmented stewardship

Kommentare: I am a one-person donor relations team, so I do not know how I could manage without this tool! In the past, the only video used for stewardship was professionally produced for about $40,000, and sent via email once a year. ThankViews are more personalized, targeted, cheaper, and have better open rates.

Vorteile:

I appreciate how the campaigns make it easy to segment our donors--e.g., one campaign for first-time donors, one campaign for loyalty giving society members, one campaign for new leadership giving society members. That way, the email and microcopy already built, and I can attach a pre-recorded video that is relevant to everyone in that group. At the same time, the ability to use merge fields helps personalize each message. It's a good balance of efficiency and customization.

Nachteile:

I wish our use of ThankView were more automated. At the moment, I pull a list of new donors that fit in each segment (donors who recently made their first gift, donors who recently became giving society members, etc.), upload that list, attach videos, and schedule the videos. If we could integrate more easily into our database, and the ThankView platform could identify donors based on giving data without me uploading a list, that would save time. I know that ThankView does offer database integration, but we have just an outdated system (Ellucian-Banner) and so few database experts on our team, we haven't explored this option. I apologize if this "criticism" is user-error! In addition, I need to filter each list of donors before I upload it in case those donors are missing email addresses, have unsubscribed from ThankView, or have other exclusion codes. It would be great if ThankView could do that filtering/scrubbing and then send me a list of donors who cannot receive a video (so that I can send them a handwritten card instead).

Stellar way to steward donors and cultivate meaningful relationships

Vorteile:

I love the personal touch that ThankView allows you to make when contacting constituents. It's a dynamic tool that can make a significant difference in the efficiency of efforts and also invites new creativity to stewardship efforts!

Nachteile:

The integration with Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT is great to have but we have had to navigate a few kinks with the two "speaking to one another" that delayed our original send time for certain campaigns.

Vorteile:

This software is extremely user-friendly from recording videos to producing them within the site. We've experienced great returns and engagement from constituents in using this tool in varying communications thus far.

Nachteile:

The most difficult part of this software is not being able to reset email addresses that bounced once from the platform (even if we know that they are accurate and working email addresses currently). They are automatically marked and unable to receive any future ThankViews unless you reset them by the ones with customer support.

Offering a personal touch in a chaotic world

Kommentare: Our team was super curious to explore using more video and ThankView has served as the perfect vehicle to get video in people's inboxes without the need to ask them to visit a chaotic youtube channel or click on an unnecessary Vimeo link.

Vorteile:

What I appreciate most about ThankView is the ability to offer a personal touch to a wide variety of constituents in an efficient and creative manner. And while I use different editing software, I enjoy knowing that it's available as an editor as well. I also really enjoy the ability to easily collect video samples from volunteers, students, teachers, etc. This process used to be so difficult but now it's super easy and volunteers seem to have fun with it!

Nachteile:

I have found that uploading videos (larger files) take a long time to fully upload but that could just be me/my computer. My colleague doesn't seem to have this problem. The only addition I'd like to see is the ability for a giving form or event-form to live in the Thankview landing page as opposed to having to click away. I feel like an internal form would yield greater results.
