Tensoft SemiOps

TENSOFT FSM is an excellent software - INVECAS

Kommentare: INVECAS has been using Tensoft tools (SemiOps and DemandOps) for about 2+ years and running. The tool is cost-efficient and provides good visibility into order status, lot tracking and its supply-chain processes. Ease of use and ability to track the data details by customer lot, vendor lot, date codes and monitor movement of lots and help to track up-to-date information on Inventory levels.

Vorteile:

One thing which is good and unique that makes Tensoft far better than any other ERP is that it matches the customer PO and Invoice data with a specific related lot number, this feature lack in many of the ERP providers in market today. This is essential to track and analyze failures and quality of shipments. Also, the month wise cost computing function helps all financial to view and close the transactions for a particular period and match with the vendor bills.

Nachteile:

There are no cons in using this software. One suggestion to the development team is that to create a summarized dashboard that shows all the processes at one place (example like: How many production orders are running per product? How many orders at FAB, SORT, ASSEMBLY, TEST and PACK stages? A notification showing the scheduled orders per month and a notification alert to user if committed date has passed or running in delays. These are additional features that we wish to see in Tensoft.

Tensoft is helping our operations to scale up

Kommentare: I think that Tensoft SemiOps is the right solution to manage the complexities of our fabless semiconductor manufacturing processes. Now that we've gone live on the system, we continue to leverage more of SemiOps' functionality for our operations. The ability of SemiOps to scale with us is extremely important. As XMOS continues to scale, the importance of inventory control and visibility increases, and Semiops has been very helpful in that respect. We're now able to get much more data - and more accurate data - to help drive business decisions.

Vorteile:

Scalability. Custom fit for semiconductor industry requirements.

Nachteile:

Not all drop-down selection list/menu support filtering to help users narrow down target item more easily, for example, custom MPO report selection list.

Quick step up the maturity curve

Kommentare: Tensoft DemandOps and SemiOps allowed us take 2 large steps in our maturity curve; One was the move from spreadsheet to integrated planning, and the second to be able to export operational and financial data into PowerBi and turn that data into actionable information.

Vorteile:

The software is reasonably intuitive and the API's export well to PowerBI

Nachteile:

Capacity constraint optimization requires manually export and intervention

Tensoft in Fabless corp.

Vorteile:

Production release (MFG PO) can release several steps concurrently if the supplier is the same one.

Nachteile:

iBOM setup concept from the user and the Tensoft development engineering is different. Need spend time to get familiar with it

Tensoft Works Well For Our Usage in our Fabless Supply Chain

Kommentare: Overall, we have a positive in the supply chain team with Tensoft and are eager to see what advancements they bring in the future.

Vorteile:

Tensoft is a valuable tool for our company from a supply chain perspective. We appreciate its fabless focus, which aligns well with our business needs. The API tool is efficient and exports well for other automation, and our planning team is now utilizing the planning portion of the tool effectively. We're now working on some supplier integrations, which has drastically reduced overhead on managing the data, and makes people want to use the system now vs. dread doing the updates. More accurate dataWe are also looking forward to seeing how they improve their user interface and add functionality and exports.

Nachteile:

This input I'm writing is generic, but...clean data in, clean planning out. In our experience, with the proper setup, the tool functions well. We recently went through the process of cleaning up the data and system setups and we are pleased to find that the system is now fully operational for our planning needs. It's important to note that having a clear setup is crucial for the tool to work effectively.
