Kommentare: Sometimes I need to test a theme. And before Squash, I deploy it on a VM on my machine. I know there is other to do that. But, for me, Squash offers me the possibility to do that in less than five minutes. I will explore more deployment template for other use cases. There is plenty of them. For example, I need Linux environment to test some features and improve my skills. Squash is the perfect way for that.
Vorteile:
You can deploy in a simple and fast way a complete environment. It's very convenient for testing a theme or some plugins effect. I don't need to create some WordPress installation on-premises.
Nachteile:
The version of the WordPress latest... is not the latest...

I've been using Squash for a while now and I absolutely love it.
With Squash, our team has finally gotten rid of the overhead of managing our own development environments.
A distributed team comprised of people from different time zones can now work on separate features without experiencing any synchronization problems.
In the past, some of the teammates used to struggle with setting up their projects locally. We now use Squash to deploy many environments for our internal needs, and Squash handles it really well.
Spinning up a demo of a new feature is now a matter of a few minutes.
We are yet to try it, but according to the documentation, it's even possible to integrate and use Squash as CI, running the test suites and having it all in one place.
All in all, Squash turned out to be the exact solution our team needs.
Vorteile:
The product has great configuration flexibility and suits to many needs. Changes to the environment setup can be tested quickly and easily. There is a big variety of features that enhance the development process and add sustainability to the development environments when needed. Seamless integration with different code hosting platforms (Github/Gitlab/Bitbucket) makes it easy to use even when projects are located on different platforms.
Nachteile:
The product is complex and enables a big variety of applications/usage scenarios. Flexibility is definitely an advantage but it doesn't come without a consequence. For setting up tricky configurations, it might be necessary to read the product's documentation carefully first.

It is now easy for me to test a new feature in isolation and show it to the customer. Very responsive tech support in case of troubles. Basically, has everything I need for my development process
Nachteile:
It has a lot of features and requires some time to get up and running, however, I'm not sure whether this type of software could be easier to use.
