Der beste Messenger auf dem Markt

Kommentare: Kostenlos, benutzerfreundlich und weit verbreitet. Alles, was man sich von einem guten Messenger wünscht. Ich kann Telegram daher nur jedem Empfehlen. Mein absoluter Favorit zurzeit.

Vorteile:

Für mich persönlich ist Telegram schon lange die Nummer 1 unter den Messengern. Es gibt viele Features, die bei anderen Messengern gar nicht oder erst sehr spät gekommen sind, die Oberfläche ist äußerst benutzerfreundlich und man kann es optisch komplett selber konfigurieren. Telegram ist mittlerweile auch sehr verbreitet und ich vermisse wirklich nichts.

Nachteile:

Es gibt wirklich nichts, dass ich bei Telegram vermisse oder was mich aktuell stört.

Keine Ende-zu-Ende-Verschlüsselung in der Desktop-Version

Vorteile:

Telegram ist kostenlos und lässt sich leicht bedienen, in dieser Hinsicht gibt es keine Nachteile gegenüber Konkurrenz-Messengern wie Whatsapp oder Signal.

Nachteile:

Leider ist die Ende-zu-Ende-Verschlüsselung nicht standardmäßig aktiviert. Die Desktop-Version kommt gänzlich ohne dieses Feature aus. In dieser Hinsicht sind Konkurrenz-Messenger wie Whatsapp oder Signal klar im Vorteil.

Kommentare: Insgesamt ein solider, gut zu bedienender Messanger. Ob man ihn braucht, hängt sicherlich davon ab, auf welche Funktionen man in dem Bereich wert legt. Im Bereich der Messanger-Gruppen liegt Telegram weit vorne.

Vorteile:

Messanger gibt es einige, so viele Funktionen wie Telegram bietet kaum einer. Insbesondere die Gruppenfunktionen sind sehr umfangreich.

Nachteile:

Leider gibt es hier auch sehr viele Gruppen mit fragwürdigen Inhalten, und Telegram tut nichts dagegen. Das liegt sicherlich auch daran, dass es hier sehr leicht ist, öffentliche Gruppen anzulegen. Für manche Unternehmen ist es daher ein wichtiger Kommunikationskanal.

Do Not Trust Telegram

Kommentare: Telegram needs to be held accountable for its actions. I have had an account with them for over 18 months now with the same phone number. I have always used it for the same things - following tech related groups and channels and participating in related discussions with software developers and Android enthusiasts. I have never broken the rules or violated the Terms of Service in any way. On October 24, 2024, in the middle of a conversation with my girlfriend (yes, my real-life in person girlfriend), I was automatically logged out of my account and informed that my number had been banned. I used the Help button in the app, I filled out the official support form, I email recover@telegram.org. I waited. I researched. I tried again. I messaged them on X. I talked with Claude.AI who helped me try things like contacting Telegram employees on LinkedIn, contacting my cell provider, checking to see if I had been placed on a spam list, filing a complaint with the FCC, etc. I waited, and tried again. Despite everything I've done, not only has my account remained banned with no explanation of why, Telegram has completely ignored me. Because I post to them on Twitter, I have been the victim of fake tech support scammers trying to get me to pay for a Telegram unban. By behaving in this way, Telegram is not only violating their own policies, but squashing free speech and the right to gather peacefully. They are creating a space for innocent people to BE scammed by hackers claiming to be able to reverse bans. This is unacceptable and must stop.

Before 10/24/24, I thought Telegram was great because you could be part of groups and channels related to your interests and engage directly with software developers.

Nachteile:

Telegram bans phone numbers for absolutely no reason and not only refuses to unban them but completely stonewalls you. If they decide to ban your number - which they do arbitrarily and capriciously - you will lose everything you've done on their platform, including any money in your Telegram wallet, and you will never hear from them again.

Kommentare: Overall I really like Telegram. I have multiple operating systems that I use and it's nice that there is a Linux version of Telegram so that I can use it on Ubuntu. It's easy to switch between a windows and Ubuntu computer and everything is sync'd up together.

I like that I can go back and search for anything that I've written or file shared. This makes communicating with friends much easier when we want to reference something from a long time ago.

Nachteile:

It's extremely hard to contact management about advertising issues or fake accounts. I get added into groups that I want no part of and it's annoying to have to report it and remove myself so often.
