Easy to Use, especially for those starting a business

Kommentare: Very easy to use with the basic level being completely free. You would have to be foolish to try anything else, especially when starting a business and having to be concerned about expenditures.

Vorteile:

I have used it for over two years now with great success for my corporation's accounts. I recently asked my accountant if he needed me to get another program to help him with my company's Tax Returns and he flatly said, "No, what you are using now does everything I would want a program to do and is also super simple to use."

Nachteile:

It has all the features I need. I will explore if I can sync it with my corporate credit card to automatically upload entries.

Good software for basic use, great for personal accounts.

Kommentare: It was great solution for small business in the UK market, however with the introduction of MTD in the UK, Wave has decided to stop developing the product for the UK market within MTD.

Vorteile:

I liked that it was an online free solution for the UK customers.

Nachteile:

The reporting side is very limited, only basic reports are available.

A good alternative to QBO

Kommentare: Overall, if I were more knowledgeable at setting up the account properly from the beginning, I'm sure the experience would have been just fine. I ended up switching to QuickBooks online once I had an actual bookkeeper who could do all the setup for me. As for an alternative to QB, this seemed almost identical to the base properties of the program, but it's been a few years so I can't compare what features they offer now.

Vorteile:

free version offered a lot of great features comparable to QB Online

Nachteile:

Not being an accountant-minded person, I needed to catch up on account reconciliation. It was not easy to figure out and took a lot of time, even with the help pros. Spent hundreds of $$ for multiple calls with a help pro who did the work and had me watch but never actually taught me how to do it myself. And then never answered my questions via email as he explained he would.

Great product for small business

Vorteile:

Ease of invoicing makes them simple to create and simple for my customers to access and understand

Nachteile:

Fees for payments received via debit card

Wave is very intuitive and easy to use for small businesses. There is a free plan for recording income, expenses and simple reporting.

Nachteile:

A lot of more enhanced features now require a paid plan starting in 2024. In the past, most of these now paid features were free.

Kommentare: Working smarter for quick and easy results with predictive analytics and insights.

Vorteile:

Wave has the visibility and control needed across accounts payable, global payments, procurement and employee expenses to run business more efficiently and drive growth. It's users friendliness has been enhanced by the power of AI.

Nachteile:

Personal designing of the dashboard is not desirable. It is also disappointing that some banks are not fully implementable on the software.

Great experience with great features - for free

Kommentare: My overall experience with Wave has been very positive. Everything works seamlessly, from invoicing to expense tracking, and the interface is intuitive and user-friendly. It’s a reliable platform that makes managing finances straightforward and stress-free. The only small inconvenience is that the business selection doesn’t stay permanent. After logging in, I have to manually switch to the correct business every time, which adds an unnecessary step to the process. Aside from this, Wave has been an excellent tool for managing my business finances.

For small business owners, freelancers, or entrepreneurs, this means you can manage your accounting, invoicing, and expense tracking without a subscription fee. Unlike many competitors, Wave offers a robust and user-friendly platform at no cost, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious users who need reliable financial tools without hidden expenses.

Nachteile:

Actually not much comes into my mind. They changed their free basic plan that you cannot send emails now - invoices or reminders. But that seems totally fair.

Wave: Robustious AP, AR & GL Automation GURU

Vorteile:

With Wave, I am able to automate complex accounting tasks such as billing and invoicing.

Nachteile:

I do not experience challenges with Wave when running accounting projects.

Easy free invoice automation

Vorteile:

Generous free starter plan with everything needed for a startup. Invoice automation and automated followups to get invoices paid. All super easy to set up.

Nachteile:

There are a few accounting limitations that were only available on paid plans but I guess at that points it'd be worth upgrading.

Wave is Amazing!!

Kommentare: Great experience overall and I have been using this software since 2020.

Vorteile:

Wave is easy to use and a huge time saver when it comes to tracking expenses and doing reports. Best thing about it is that it is free for the starter edition.

Nachteile:

You can’t send an estimate directly through Wave without the paid plan but it is a small issue.

Compact invoicing software

Kommentare: Was positive till a section of the app was discontinued for non-US subscribers.

Vorteile:

I love ease of use and functions that match my business needs. Allows branding and customisation of invoices. Love that I can clone invoices saving time for repeat services to same clients ( art coaching in my case)

Nachteile:

Disappointed that they removed wave receipts for non-US clients. This particular feature was critical to document hard copies of receipts on the go, into the online wave system. Now their is nothing else to integrate the hard copies of receipts into the wave system

Love the Starter Version of Wave

Kommentare: I've used Wave for quite a while now & Love it. I will eventually move up to one of the paid subscriptions as this program has enabled me to be more professional with invoicing.

Vorteile:

Having a free version for small business owners is truly amazing. The fact that it works so well and is very easy to setup & use is a blessing

Nachteile:

I realize every business needs to make money - the latest update which now makes you download the invoice to send as opposed to being able to send from within Wave is nothing more than a small extra step.

The Best Cost Efficient Accounting Software

Kommentare: It was an excellent experience in all aspects, particularly when it came to creating the relevant financial reports

Vorteile:

The software was a savior for our organization, as we needed something easy to understand, practical, and to be able to access and management from an online system. Wave accounting was above and beyond the best accounting software we had used to date. My absolute favorite accounting software!

Nachteile:

Setting up the account initially was a challenging process, as the navigation was a bit difficult.

One Stop Money Management Platform

Kommentare: My overall experience has been outstanding. The business has used Wave for nearly 6 years.

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use and the ability to create both individual invoices and recurring invoices. I also like the ability to take a range of payments from card to direct deposit (ACH). Finally, the ease of managing transactions makes my life easier as a small business owner.

Nachteile:

The recent price increase, while understandable, is never fun.

Definitely the best invoicing app I've ever used!

Kommentare: My favorite invoicing app, hands down.The invoices that are generated are super professional and detailed, the reminders are very helpful, and it is a sharp looking app with an amazing interface, just hoping for the ability to use our swipe keyboard and predictive texts in the fields that it's most useful, such as item descriptions and such.. For the first few years that I used this app on my android, it was no problem, and we were able to use Swype keyboard, predictive text and speech to text in all fields, and in one of the recent updates, this feature was removed, making it a painstaking process to have to hammer out every single character one at a time, but myself and all the other business owners that use and love this app are holding out hope that this changes like very soon! Hopefully on one of these next updates somebody cares about our feedback!

The phone app is so amazing to use, so easy and so complete..It's very easily customizable with your logo and information, and the invoices look sharp, clean & professional, with multiple options to send the invoices- PDF, links, etc.This app has become absolutely indispensable to my business.

Nachteile:

The ONLY thing (but a major thing) that I've seen that's frustrated not only myself, but many many others that are part of a small business owner's forum, is the following-and I hope someone does something about it ASAP-In the phone app, we used to be able to use the Swype keyboard, speech to text & predictive text, making it a breeze to fill out or alter item descriptions and such.After one of these recent updates a few months ago, this capability was removed from those fields, obligating us to type one character at a time.This really killed the ease of use of this app, and while I still give it a glowing review, the truth is that if this doesn't get resolved in the near future, by next year I'll have to move on to an app that allows me to use my keyboard & speech to text to fill out these item descriptions.The only reason myself and many others have not switched is bc we've complained about it and we are all really hoping that the development team takes the 5 minutes it would take to switch this back to the way it was, and because of the fact that we all have developed a thorough item list that would be hard to start from scratch, but we are holding out hope bc it's our favorite!Please, Wave Dev team, please revert this function to it's original capabilities!

Best Account App for Small Businesses

Kommentare: Wave Accounting has saved me lots of time, given me a great brand impression before my clients and saved me money.

Vorteile:

The most impactful features of Wave Accounting for my business are invoicing and receipting. Generally, it was easy to setup and would recommend it for anyone looking for a bookkeeping app specially designed for small business at little or no cost.

Nachteile:

One thing that can be improved is sending of receipts. If it can be possible to send receipts via WhatsApp for clients that prefer communication on that platform, that will be very helpful.

Wave Accounting is the absolute best

Kommentare: Our experince with this program has been great and we would not use another program. Our administrative staff has been able to use the program with minimal training. We love the program and will continue to use it.

Vorteile:

Wave is a simply to use accounting program that allows us to create invoice, receive payemnts, view and print reports and keep up with money that is owed to us. We are able to use this program for all of our accounting and bookkeeping needs. It is so easy to use and the product support is superior to other accounting programs.

Nachteile:

There is nothing not to like about this program

Online Invoicing Program

Kommentare: Invoice creation and processing requires zero manual processes with Wave.

Vorteile:

Wave has robust features that enables me to eradicate manual processes during data entry in various aspects such as bank reconciliation, AP and AR.

Nachteile:

I have never come across any error on the pro plan.

How I Pave Accounting Way with Wave

Vorteile:

I use Wave as QB alternative on my end. I like that it automates repetitive accounting tasks such as AP, GL, financial management and payment matching.

Nachteile:

However, Wave lack offline access and accounting capabilities for global enterprises.

Wave works well for the Sole Proprietor

Kommentare: Overall, my experience has been mostly positive.

Vorteile:

As a sole proprietor, I do like that it has a free option to keep my overhead costs manageable.

Nachteile:

There are some reports that are a bit more challenging to put together

It has been really useful to us. I am very glad to use the waive accounting system.

Vorteile:

It has all the options for managing the finances of a small business easily. You could create your invoices, send invoices via links, record payments, and enter all the expenses. You could track your income customer-wise. You could even manage your payroll. Your total PNL is also calculated automatically. It is very user-friendly; anyone could use it

Nachteile:

Cannot be connected to all the banks around the world. There is a list of supported banks and credit cards.

Great for starting out

Vorteile:

This free option for accounting is amazing for starting up your small business. Easy to use, excellent options for sharing with accounting professionals, optional add ins to extend usability. The reconciliation features are the best I’ve tried.

Nachteile:

Navigating from one area to Another can be clunky and invoicing can be tedious for adding a new customer. I wish annoperional anonymous guest

Great for personal and small business!

Vorteile:

I like that there's a pretty robust free version and I can use it for both personal and business use. I can also link multiple business Wave accounts under a single login.

Nachteile:

I sometimes have trouble reconciling credit card payments within the app.

Accounting done wright

Kommentare: Great software, everything worked as it should be, support is fast and really helps you.

Vorteile:

Perfect accounting software for a small business and someone with less to none accounting knowledge. Creating unlimited estimates and invoices even on the free plan is the greatest feature.

Nachteile:

No cons here, worked flawless for me and my small business.
