Easy, simple to use
Kommentare: - great and fast support
Vorteile:
It's very simple to use and all basic component, which you need to start and work are free of charges
Nachteile:
- calendar in channel manager to close out the channels is too much complicated - miss the connection to the google Hotel Ads - for the moment can be used only in UK, would be nice to use it over EU countries

Excellent product and service
Kommentare: Primary benefit is the customer service, it is easy to get help when it is needed. following close behind is the cost, I only pay for add-on features and the price of those is reasonable.
Vorteile:
Easy to transition from previous software and easy to use. I pay for what I need.
Nachteile:
I have not come across any cons that have not been dealt with promptly.

A lot of manual input
Kommentare: There was a lot of manual input required for the "free" application.
Vorteile:
I was able to manage my rooms. There was also a direct booking function.
Nachteile:
The function to manage rooms on multiple platforms was expensive so I had to be on top of the bookings to ensure I didn't get double bookings. I could only put one room on an OTA and if I took a direct booking I had to ensure that the room was available and/or close it out on the OTA first.

Thanks for the feedback. I can see that you used the system just over three years ago for a short while and, as you mention, did not take up any of the chargeable services. The channel manager is the service that would have put an end to the manual inputting of third party bookings and risk of double booking. After an initial setup fee the only ongoing cost is #1 per booking made via the connected channels (so never your own bookings) and these are capped at a maximum of #49 per month. In quiet months like we have seen many of this year (2020 - covid) there have been MANY monthly invoices going out at #0... ZERO... all the while our usual support levels have been available for all customers and the system has not stopped doing what it does. Its free and better than all the other reservation systems I tried
Kommentare: After quite a time getting to know and understand the software and having many questions answered by their good support sytem we took the plunge. We had been on several other systems free trials but rejected them all. In short it worked form day one and online booking has been a big success. It has saved us a lot of work over our old system and is free apart from credit card integration.
Vorteile:
You can try it free for as long as you like as long as you dont want any of the excellent extra services. this means you can get it all set up like your present sytem and working before you mave over. It works and is flexible enough for our quite complex pricing system. Response to questions is very quick. No downtime. Excellent stripe integration for credit cards. (Small fee to freetobook for setting up then 1.4% that stripe takes) Can collect credit card details at booking time or send an invoice after the booking has been made and you have checked things over. There have been several improvements while we have been with them.
Nachteile:
It took quite a while to get it to imitate our current pricing strategy. Not particulalry intuitive and as most of these systems is aimed mainly at hotels and b and bs. However with a bit of effort it can be made to work perfectly for self catering like us. Daily use is now simple.

It's free, it works like a dream, what's not to like?
Kommentare: All our bookings are made using Freetobook. Most happen online from our own website but occasionally we add a manual booking that comes in over the phone. Both routes work absolutely fine.
Vorteile:
100% reliability. No downtime that I have been aware of. The booking system itself is completely free. Good value card management link with Stripe that has also worked flawlessly over the 18 months I have been using it.
Nachteile:
The graphics of the interface are rather dated but I'm all about functionality so that really doesn't bother me.
