Kommentare: Inventor ist eine super Entscheidung. Es beherbergt schon sehr viele Werkzeuge , welche andere Anbieter als Zusatzmodule anbieten. Daher ist Inventor mit einem Paket schon mehr als GUT ausgestattet, welches in aller Regel ausreicht um Aufgaben in der Produktentwicklung und Planung vollständig und Exakt durchführen zu können.
Vorteile:
Die Inventorsoftware stellt Lernprogramme in der Software bereit. Das bedeutet du kannst einen Kurs wählen und das Worksheet durcharbeiten. Anschliessend weisst du , wie das dementsprechende Werkzeug zu verwenden ist. Dies bietet sich an bei Entwicklungen für Neuprodukte, wenn du noch nicht alle Softwaremodule benutzt hast, bzw. kennengelernt hast. Inventor ist ein PRozess, es dauert einwenig bis man sich komplett eingearbeitet hat. Der beste Tipp: Klein Anfangen !
Nachteile:
BIsher fiel nichts auf , was wirklich gefehlt hat. Sicherlich gibt es software, welche in der Struktur ähnlich aber etwas einfacher zu verwenden ist, nehmen wir zum Vergleich z.B. Fusion360. Verschiedene Modellierungsprozesse sind bei Fusion 360 etwas einfacher gestaltet. Dafür hat Fusion aber nicht so ausgeklügelte Belastungsanalysen-Werkzeuge etc.
Inventor for Millwork and Tradeshow Documents
Kommentare: Inventor is a great tool and easy to learn and be productive with. It is not a direct solution for any specific trade other than Sheet Metal, but can be tailored to fit.
Vorteile:
Inventor is very easy to use to create realistic, solid designs for cabinetry and millwork. I have tailored the software to streamline my creation of repetitive tasks, and it allows me to effectively document my designs quickly and easily. The software allows you to design and see where problems are in real time. My absolute favorite thing is that the drawings created, are always 100% exactly what you've modeled. It is impossible to have a view that does not dimensionally match another view. My experience with CAD systems in the past, is when drawings get revised, if not checked carefully, views can get out of sync with each other and when something is manufactured, the fabricator undoubtedly will ALWAYS pick the incorrect view as the one to follow. Inventor completely eliminates this problem. Last but not least, is that after being an Engineer / Drafter / Project Manager for almost 30 years, learning and using inventor has made designing and drafting fun for me again.
Nachteile:
If there's anything I dislike, is that the software could be more cabinet and millwork friendly without having to purchase an add-on. The drawing sizes and model file sizes can get very large, in some cases I have drawings over 200mb, which can be painfully slow when loading over a network

Kommentare: In general I always use this software to design any part, running the stress simulation.
Vorteile:
You can start form 0 and perform a very specialized analysis for any part. Very organized to go from a point, line, sketch, solid and assembly.
Nachteile:
How the constraints can be easily affected and the whole model ruined. Very complex to repair this.
RUN AWAY FROM THIS SOFTWARE
Kommentare: The worst Cad software so far. Extremely overrated. I don't even understand the positive comments here. I assume most of them are people new to the game who didn't have a chance to try other software. Solidworks is not perfect, but it is infinitely better than Inventor. This software should be free and even then, it would still be a trash.
Vorteile:
Nothing positive to mention if you have used other software before.
Nachteile:
Continued crashes and bugs (I work with an HP workstation optimized for CAD with Xeon, 32gb, Graphics...). Non intuitive tools/Interface. The orbital movement system is trash. Poor restriction functions (specially the tangent one). You need to constantly update the assembly to see the results. Sometimes the preview of the restrictions are not shown for some misterious reason. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT!!!! -DON'T HAVE AUTO-SAVE-
Autodesk inventor user advantage
Kommentare: I am using inventor since 4 years and a user friendly tool to designing and drafting. I logic programming was the greatest advantage by using inventor.
Vorteile:
I like I logic programming & inventor has a huge content center library.
Nachteile:
Static analysis results need to be precised & reported errors need to be resolved.

Inventor - A helpful and useful tool
Kommentare: Excellent. I wouldn't change to another software vendor anytime soon.
Vorteile:
It is professional and easy to use (once you get past the learning curve). It integrates well with other Autodesk software and is an industry standard for most.
Nachteile:
It does have some bugs and crashes occasionally. It also is impossible to use without an internet connection. This seems a little unnecessary, but sometimes if you are working very remotely it simply isn't what you want.

Intuitive and powerful 3D CAD, yet it takes time to master the more powerful features
Kommentare: I created many solid models, assemblies and drawings. Compared to a previous high end system I used, it has been very robust and rarely crashes. Once you know it it is very intuitive.
Vorteile:
Easy and powerful solid modeller that can create Assemblies with both Part and Assembly variations. Bill of Materials with tables can be generated directly in the Assembly drawing. A lot of functions are available under the right mouse button, which saves time not having to go through menus.
Nachteile:
Once you get deeper into the software, the more powerful features can be somewhat difficult to learn. Support does not always understand your exact needs. Some of the lesser used powerful features do not get the same attention from their R&D. An example is that it took about 2 years for a feature to be corrected.

It has many tools that are very useful not only in the mechanical area, but also in the design of circuits, in the design of pipelines, etc., that's why I like SW. Java does not generate code for further deeper developments. It does not handle much flexibility like code does in Java It only works with an Internet connection and it is a great disadvantage when you signal it is bad at home or work It can only be developed for Android The program has a high cost, due to its license. Knowing how to fully use the software requires a lot of time since there are many functions, and even that they are of little application, since they are very specific. It requires a powerful computer to work with processing speed, and a high space on the hard drive
Excellent mechanical design software, extremely efficient and practical.
Kommentare: It has allowed me to quickly design metal structures in 3D from your library, which has saved me time, in addition to an impeccable finish. Therefore, I consider that it has given effectiveness to my work and my professional life.
Vorteile:
Mainly it has allowed me to design pieces, machineries, structures and endless figures, creating parameters that streamline the assembly of the models that I have created, since it has a complete library of structural elements that facilitate the task of designing from the elements of the library and can easily be modeled, it is also very easy to create parametric drawings without the need of being an expert in the software, therefore its ease of use unlike other similar packages places it among my favorites when creating my digital prototypes. On the other hand, this software can design metal sheets that meet the most stringent quality standards. I find it interesting that it allows you to create 3D models from DWG files directly from Inventor. In addition to all the advantages I have mentioned, it allows you to export 3D designs to PDF formats, which facilitates printing and displaying them on any computer.
Nachteile:
The main disadvantage that I find to this software is that it requires a very powerful equipment and with certain specific characteristics to be able to use it, since in a conventional machine its use is impossible.
What You Can Expect from Autodesk Inventor
Kommentare: Inventor is great for spinning out complex designs. I like that we could also perform stress analysis on the models before we concluded on the design.
Vorteile:
Inventor is a powerful tool that can be harnessed to create complex 3D models in a few days. Their collaboration tools also made it seamless for my teammates and I, to collaborate effectively when we were designing a baby bed.
Nachteile:
Apart from the fact that Inventor is actually expensive, I needed to change my laptop in order to use it since my old one did not meet the requirements, that was really a shame.
Basically Required for PLTW's IED
Kommentare: Inventor is meant to be used to design parts of a mechanical machine. It is really good at that and not much else. It makes parts, assemblies, and drawings well. While it has animation tools, they're not great. Because of the detail and accuracy in the renderings, it goes through a lot more RAM, but makes great images and working drawings.
Vorteile:
Inventor is good if you are rendering parts to a small product. You would not want to design a house or perform city planning on it. It is also not meant for animation, so being good at Inventor probably wouldn't get you a job with Pixar or Dreamworks. If, on the other hand, you want to 3D a missing keyboard key or the insert to your tape dispenser, then Inventor is for you. I am an engineering teacher and my students use this program for the entire second-half of the school year. I have a feeling that students using Inventor in their Introduction to Engineering Design class is a huge majority of where Autodesk Inventor is used. Inventor is very good at turning a part file into both assembiles and working drawings. The images it makes is just as good as anything you would find in IKEA assembly instructions. This works out well because I tell my students that by the end of the class I teach, they will be able to create an assembly instruction book that is just as good as anything IKEA would give their customers.
Nachteile:
I already know that I don't use even a small fraction of what Inventor is capable of and that I can only review the limited number of tools I have used. But, based on what I have used Inventor for during the better part of a decade... Google SketchUp doesn't require that you place a sketch, then draw, and then extrude the sketch, and it works just fine. Inventor works fine for small simple projects, but it's slow-going to make something in it. Because it uses true curves, Inventor uses a lot of RAM and can crash when you are assembling complicated parts. It won't curve labels in 2 directions, it doesn't have a parabola, catenary, or hyperbola tools. I have struggled a lot with making their parts semitransparent like being able to see a ship inside of a bottle.
Inventor Review
Kommentare: It's great. We have been using it on a daily basis for years now, not only for components design and manufacturing drawings but also for layouts, general arrangments, and plant layouts. It becomes easy to integrate scanned areas and easier to show end customers what they could expect.
Vorteile:
Autodesk Inventor is the best tool in the market for 3D manufacturing design. The components library is huge with basically all the important vendors being part of it. The setups are easy, and the collaboration between workers is great and very functional. The BOM works perfectly and integrates with other pieces of software within the company.
Nachteile:
It is an expensive piece of software. It could have an entry version as the AutoCAD 2D has the LT version. I understand that it also requires some bulk hardware to run it nicely, and this is part of modeling in 3D.
Intuitive and powerful design

I was using Inventor for multiple years in my work and my private projects. It is an amazing tool, packed with an enormous number of features. Each of the functions is customizable and can be adjusted to the expectations of the company and designer. Inventor can make the work efficient, quick, and enjoyable. Each function has an extensive description with detailed instructions on how to use it. Also, the whole ecosystem of apps from Autodesk is cooperating smoothly end effortlessly, and Inventor is a great part of it. It is widely used, so if a user encounters any problem, somewhere on the internet there is a resolution for it - on the official Autodesk page or on one of the multiple forums. The software has a student version, which can be a great possibility to get familiarized with it if you are studying.
However, there is one significant disadvantage of Inventor - the price in the subscription model is extremely high. it is unlikely that hobbyists can afford that much. Also, small bugs may happen, which is fully understandable in the software of that size.
In conclusion, if you have the possibility to work with it, it is totally a must - there is nothing that good on the market. If not, there are some cheaper alternatives - not as good as this one, but still decent.

Solid 3d CAD platform with an entourage of compatible software
Kommentare: We left Pro/E Wildfire 4.0 in 2013 as Creo originally wasn't all that stellar. We switched to Inventor and all-in-all have been pretty satisfied. Performance was an issue early on, but this has been addressed with multi-core support.
Vorteile:
That drawings are DWG file formats, so no conversions necessary to open in AutoCAD. The ability to customize with marking menus, keyboard shortcuts, rearranging ribbons, and macros with VBA.
Nachteile:
It acts up sometimes with sketch references (even when limited to one part), but there has been continuous improvements in this area. Edits to parts can take time as the workflow is to either open part up and make changes, or edit in place but still open up feature to make changes. However, I created a VBA form and macro that allows me to see relative parameters to a feature to make quick changes at the assembly level. Multi-core support took too long to be offered, but thankfully it now is utilized.

Vorteile:
Autodesk Inventor integrates really well with other Autodesk products that provide collaboration to a deeper extent between various engineering disciplines that include mechanical, electrical and civil. Whenever a mechanical assembly is updated it automatically notifies and updates the electrical wiring. Autodesk rendering of the assembly and components helps to visualize things effectively.
Nachteile:
The user interface is not friendly as compared to Solidworks. The amount of time taken to design a mechanical part in Solidworks is much faster compared to Autodesk Inventor.
3D Parts Creation with Logic
Vorteile:
The software is easy to use and is made extremely powerful with iLogic. iLogic enables you to create multiple variations of a part with programming logic and variables. Objects are created based on dimensions so, if you change the width, everything based on the width changes to accommodate the new width. So if you have several parts that are basically the same with small variations, you can create a bunch of different parts by simply changing the variables.
Nachteile:
The one thing I don't like about the software is that in order to reference the midpoint of a line in sketch mode, you have to place a point on the midpoint. Then you can use the midpoint as a basis for other dimensions.
My day to day 3D drawing tool
Kommentare: I would go for the inventor for company-wide software for our CAD requirement. This helps us a lot in our day-to-day designing and modifying of the machine/parts.
Vorteile:
Compared to the other CAD software I have used, the inventor is a more robust approach to overall designing and analysis of the part/product prior to fabricating. This helps in understanding the potential issues in the design before even creating it.
Nachteile:
The vault and client have to be on the same software version which is a tricky part while implementing company-wide software upgrades. We faced issues a few times while doing so.

Kommentare: The Mechanical Design is an iterative process with many interactive phases. You can improve the design and making it efficient. I think this software, Inventor, allows me as a mechanical engineer to apply my knowledge and do my work under a specific methodology that leads me to a quality design. It is a powerful mechanical design tool.
Vorteile:
Have the opportunity to do each of the design of your pieces and then assemble them. It allows you to evaluate every detail in the design process. The 3D design allows you to be focused on what is really important, the design. Every year the tool innovates and introduces you to new functions that make your work a little easier. Once your designs are ready, you can use the 3D printer and manufacture a particular piece. So it allows you a quick "design-fabrication" process.
Nachteile:
The more pieces you add to your assembly, the computer gets a little slow. In that sense, a large capacity team is required.
Great for 3D modeling
Kommentare: In short, it's a great software for designers, it helped me a lot during college, and in professional life, attributing a lot to my logical reasoning
Vorteile:
It is a practical software with the 3D functionalities that any designer would like to develop their projects. In particular, I like the 3D extrusions and finite element simulations that the software provides.
Nachteile:
A single point to be desired would be the plotting of auxiliary planes, which often makes me confuse a type of plane with another type of plane different from the one I would like to use, or, sometimes, I cannot plot the plane correctly.

Great software, easy to use and very intuitive.
Vorteile:
Easy to use Interface and button layout. The commands are clearly spelt out and even give you a quick tutorial glimpse of what the command or button does when you hover your mouse arrow over it for a few seconds.
Nachteile:
Like any software, crashes can occur. You have to be sure that you keep up-to-date on all patches and services packs for your Autodesk Products to ensure you have the best experience while using their software.
Best 3-d Drawing software
Kommentare: love it, works for 2-d and 3-d very well, and looking forward to trying to use the machining part of it as it updates as well

Fantastic Educational Tool For Young Engineers!
Kommentare: I used a competing product while I worked in industry. However, Inventor quickly became my favorite design software when I saw its simplicity and efficiency.
Vorteile:
Autodesk Inventor manages to be simple for students, but more advanced features can easily be turned on as needed. Great learning environment versus other engineering-design products.
Nachteile:
The customization menu seemed pretty disorganized.
Excellent 3D modeling software
Vorteile:
Inventor makes 3D modeling very easy to learn and use. The commands are simple to follow and the help files can be very helpful if you know what you are looking for. I have been using Inventor for 3-4 years now and I am still learning new and better ways to do certain things. Autodesk releases a new version every year with added functionality, which makes using the software easier.
Nachteile:
Inventor can sometimes be a memory hog, if you have a model open with 100's of parts it can take 10-15GB of memory. Which slows down the computer and can make creating drawings slow and painful. Also the software sometimes can do things which you don't intend. This can get irritating and cause some delays in design.
