Kommentare: I as a user love the way I can use my social sign in to quickly break the line and enter the profile and start working. As an admin, I want my users to feel the same experience.

Vorteile:

I love this product for various reason, I love it for its capability to in quick way and manage-ability via dashboard. oauth 2.0 runs behind this platfrom, which enabled any user on our website to authorize itself to our offerrings without creating a password at our site. This not only saves efforts of user, but builds credibility that password is not being shared/strored on site servers. This is ultimate way to increase the user traffic by providing seemless logging in experience.

Nachteile:

Best thing is you get pre-hosted ready to use oauth via oauth.io. Saves a lot of management hassles. No cons at all at this range of pricing.

OAuth and laravel integration

Kommentare: I have had a positive overall experience with OAuth. I have found it to be a secure, convenient, and flexible authentication and authorization framework. I have used it to integrate with a variety of different applications, and I have found it to be easy to implement and use. One of the things I like most about OAuth is that it allows me to grant access to my data and resources to third-party applications without sharing my passwords. This is important to me because it helps to protect my privacy and security.

Vorteile:

OAuth is a very secure way to authenticate users and authorize access to resources. User credentials are never shared with third-party applications, and access tokens are short-lived and can be easily revoked. makes it easy for users to connect their accounts to different applications. They only need to log in to their account once and then grant permission to each application.

Nachteile:

OAuth applications need to make additional requests to get minimal user information. This can be annoying for users, and it can also impact the performance of the application.

It's a OAuth provider library, appears to have nice features. Their site is very convincing. Nothing else.

Nachteile:

It's a misleading tool if you looking for the standard OAuth. They try to sell a service, which is not necessary for most users.

Easy OAuth configuration for GitHub credentials

Vorteile:

I bought a canned IoT device with Debian image - it had integrated code for oauth <> github integration...but it didn't work. I'm not a developer, so I didnt know where to start. There's a quick start guide that tells you where to go, what changes to make...and they provide a back-end test harness to validate oauth.io <> github integration success...as well as a front end code sample to validate from your client. Could not have been easier! I did have to contact support as I'm a newbie, but they were spot on with help and configuration advice. Much appreciated!

Nachteile:

The only issue I had, and it is completely understandable due to privace/security, is that the baked in image from debian had saved oauth credentials. There is no way for me to look up who that app owner is, or at least I could not find it, so instead of having the original app owner update their app for everyone and republish to the debian image site, everyone will have to make their own apps in github/oauth.

What I like most about this product is that it is an easy tool to learn and understand. Our partners are able to integrate the authentication method in to their code very easy.

Nachteile:

The account owner has to be apart of the process in order for this to work. We sometimes get partners that need access to data to provide info to clients and sometimes they are not too happy with the oauth flow. We then have to provide an alternate way the client will grant access to share data
