It also integrates SMS texting and allows the comm's to be easily inserted into the patient file. The UI is extremely user friendly. In fact, many of the functions the staff could not "find" were literally found by hovering over items\! I love how customizable it can be: each DVM can create their own exam template, each user can create their own shortcuts. Services can auto populate home instructions. I especially appreciate the ability for each user to provide feed back and suggested new features- and even more impressive: the Shepherd Team's responsiveness to those suggestions. Our practice seems to run a lot smoother now that we have Shepherd. It is very difficult whenever the system goes down though. We are a walk in practice that seems more than 100 patients per day.
