Too many bugs. Pricing callibration is off. When bringing to their attention support is non existent

Kommentare: We have over 50 units on wheelhouse's premium/monthly plan. Every new hotel we launch, we put it on wheelhouse. And with every new hotel, we notice that nearly identical units in the same location are priced differently. We identify the issue and bring it up to their support. In the past, they've been fast to identify the bug/issue and resolve it. It's been a week+ now and they still haven't resolved the last issue brought up about amenities weighing incorrectly on one unit vs the next (same unit, same amenities). The last issue we found a week or two ago, we had to escalate through our PMS to get to their products team to resolve. So essentially, if there is a bug and an issue on their side, it's now nearly impossible to get it escalated, looked at, and resolved.

Vorteile:

It's more what you "liked" rather than "like". The pricing engine was more

Nachteile:

Too many bugs. Anytime we add new units, identical units are being mispriced due to some bug on their side that they need to fix. Support was great before, and they would fix it within a few hours. Now, everything is referred to as the "team," and after waiting several days to weeks, the issue persists—clearly the case of outsourcing support. They are now adding features specifically for one PMS (Guesty) instead of making them available to all customers (such as occupancy pacing across multi units). All in all, I'm pretty disappointed that we have to start looking at our pricing options.

Make more money!

Kommentare: Getting set up was a little bit confusing and I had to so for help several times. However their customer service and quickness to answer is unparalleled!

I like that they know what’s going on in the area and adjust my prices accordingly.

Nachteile:

I don’t like how much it costs. I’m worried the benefits might not justify the cost.

Automate pricing & increase your property rentals revenues by at least 20%

Kommentare: All in, it's a very good piece of big data software which will immediately translate into increased revenues & less hassle.
To me it's a must : when in the market for property management platforms, i would only look at those that would enable a connection with Wheelhouse

Vorteile:

The pricing algorithm does a great job and is very accurate: as an example, not only was it able to precisely forecast the peak in demand generated by Fashion Week in this particular street in Paris where my property is located, but also to calculate by how much i should increase nightly prices to make the most of it. I was really amazed... since that i have 100% trust in the pricing algorithm. It's also very good at getting a majority of bookings in advance at relatively high prices, but flexible enough to adjust for last minute single nights availability (unique feature vs. competition i believe).

Nachteile:

Recent improvements in the UI were welcome. Integrations with other platforms are growing. Next item to improve is to be more mobile-friendly (either thru a dedicated app, or an adaptative html design of the existing website)

Vorteile:

Having the ability to use data driven or a hybrid of user pricing strategy is key. The options to customize based on the market and what you know about certain trends in your area helps. The hypothetical scenario for new listings is helpful when speaking with prospective clients. Customer service is excellent. If I have an issue, there is someone available on chat that can work through your challenge in real time and solve it for you. It's amazing.

Nachteile:

There could be better trends for a property's performance v. the market (and the listings that are the competition). I believe PriceLabs has a better feature for this use.

Best in Class

I’ve used wheelhouse for several years over multiple companies and it’s by far the best pricing tool available.

Can be cumbersome to make adjustments. Not user friendly at the beginning.

Best pricing tool for STR

Vorteile:

Easy to set up, easy to learn, amazing features to analyze data regarding your market, and best of all the dynamic pricing and pricing optimization. Thanks to wheelhouse I was able to increase my revenue

Nachteile:

At first its intimidating becase it has a lot of features and functionality

Amazing - Will never look back!

Vorteile:

Amazing job of dynamically pricing my rental. Removes any work that I have to do. I love it and would never consider not using the software again in my life. Customer support is great and follows up. Overall highly recommended - will never look back!

Nachteile:

Customer service takes a few hours to reach and only available by email. I wish they would be willing to call you when they receive your email -that should be an option. Grateful it’s not a few days!

Wheelhouse has automated pricing for our airbnb.

Kommentare: We started out on airbnb using their smartpricing, and it was the worst decision ever. Within hours of listing our first property, it was booked for less than 1/3 of what it should have been rented for. The in-house airbnb smart pricing is attrocious especially for high quality/luxury properties. Immediately afterwards we looked for a solution and considered this and the competitor Beyond Pricing and chose this for ease of use. We have friends that say wheelhouse tends to overvalue their budget condos, but that is far better than the alternative.

Vorteile:

Extremely easy to use, easy to analyze, and we can plan our pricing far in advance. It's dynamic and rewards us based on the reviews, number of guests that have stayed with us, and gives us great control when we want it.

Nachteile:

Recently, wheelhouse made an update where they changed how they calculate the nightly rate - but they didn't notify us about it. All of a sudden our base rate changed significantly overnight and we still don't know what happened. Over chat, the support agent couldn't explain this either.

Easy software for congestion pricing

Kommentare: Customer service is always available and willing to adapt the algorithm based on the unique characteristics of a region

Vorteile:

The system is easy to deploy and manage allows to price properties appropriate to demand and need. . The cost of the system is worth the benefit.

Nachteile:

there is an occasional lag in automated updating pricing in user platform (Airbnb) when blocked dates that have been opened. You can do it with a manual refresh if you remember to do so. Would be good if the refresh would work instantly all the time, however, its a relatively minor inconvenience to check.

Great Value

Kommentare: I have increased my nightly rate, and thus my overall profits while also saving my time.

Vorteile:

Provides a great way to get help setting and also managing my short term rental rates. They have helped me realize I can charge a higher rate than I ever realized.

Nachteile:

I generally think it is pretty great. The VRBO API needs to get fixed, but my understanding is that this is more an issue with the team at VRBO than it is the team at wheelhouse.

A no-brainer to use

Vorteile:

I basically don't ever have to think about rates, and my property fills up more than expected and often at rates higher than I think I'd otherwise set! I don't know why any VR owner/manager wouldn't use Wheelhouse, especially for the tiny amount it costs. Except I'm glad they don't in my market, because it absolutely gives me a competitive edge!

Nachteile:

Not Wheelhouse's fault, but they don't integrate with HomeAway (HomeAway's choice). That limits its usefulness a bit, since HomeAway is the biggest booking channel. However, you only pay the tiny booking fee if a reservation is booked through a supported channel, so I pay a tiny amount to Wheelhouse on my Airbnb and FlipKey bookings and anything that comes through HomeAway doesn't cost me anything.

Very easy to use and worth the small cost.

Kommentare: I get top dollar for my rentals and I don't need to go in and adjust prices, it happens automatically.

Vorteile:

I like the software because it sets the prices for me automatically on Airbnb and I never need to go in and change based on supply and demand. Wheelhouse does the pricing automatically and I always get top dollar for my rentals.

Nachteile:

Wheelhouse doesn't link with VRBO, however, I use the pricing that is generated for airbnb and adjust my VRBO pricing accordingly. It takes a little more time. Hopefully they will be able to link to VRBO in the future.

Great Value for the Service

Vorteile:

I like that I don't have to think about setting my pricing for my Airbnb. Wheelhouse takes care of everything, but also gives you options for customizing your pricing strategy. I like that flexibility, while also having confidence that I can walk away and let Wheelhouse automate this aspect of my Airbnb business.

Nachteile:

The platform takes a little getting used to. The layout is a bit confusing at first, but once you know your way around it's fine. I tend to want to go directly to my Strategy tab on my dashboard first, and it took a little while to get used to knowing where to click when you first sign in. Not a huge deal, just something I personally found cumbersome.

Helpful software to maximize pricing

Vorteile:

Lots of features that are easy to set. Talks seamlessly with airbnb. The customer support is personal and quick. You can even submit ideas for new features and they will often get built in.

Nachteile:

The calendar especially is a little clunky on desktop and mobile. Could use a mobile app but not necessary. I also find the loading times to be slow or sometimes the site hangs when updating your pricing...the little stats about wheelhouse are entertaining but get old.

Great Dynamic pricing software

Kommentare: Iv'e had a great experience using this software and i would recommend it to all short term property managers.

All its features especially the new Dynamic minimum stays, and quick support.

Did not find the cons so far maybe it takes some time for changes to save.

Huge Plus for My Airbnb

Vorteile:

I am very grateful to not have to invest time in sorting out pricing for my Airbnb. I am able to set my preferences and Wheelhouse takes care of the rest. I'm frankly shocked at my high percentage of occupancy and how much my unit brings. I'm definitely making more money for considerably less work than I was before Wheelhouse.

Nachteile:

I haven't quite gotten the hang of the layout for a single property and seem to often have trouble finding the button to sync and update pricing.

Wheelhouse has earned me more money for my Airbnb listings.

Vorteile:

I don't have to be an expert in pricing or timing of events. Wheelhouse identifies those opportunities and I benefit from peak usage times.

Nachteile:

This is a small thing, but navigating from listing to listing could be more streamlined. I tend to look at the same things. It would be helpful to be able to go directly to a page and select the listing rather than having to go from listing to listing and then select the page I'm interested in.

We use this to *mostly* automate our pricing.

Vorteile:

We get a great starting point to set our prices at. The data insights it gives into the performance of our properties is helpful. The features of being able to tweak the numbers here and there is very helpful. There are a pretty wide variety of features.

Nachteile:

The algorithm isn't perfect, so we have had to make adjustments pretty regularly as we go in order to optimize occupancy and ADR to produce the highest income.

Very useful software

Vorteile:

I like all the features this software have, they always become useful to maximize profit.

Nachteile:

I did not find weak points. I suggested some changes, and they replied to me they were working on it. Which was true, because months later they added the feature I had suggested.
