Vorteile:

Json Source - Super easy to get data from various APIs Json Parser - Shreds complex Json into relational format

Nachteile:

occasional bugs but support extremely responsive and helpful for troubleshooting issues and recording bugs for future releases

Swiss army knife for ETL.

Kommentare: Part of my career has been built on this tool because I was able to finish projects substantially faster with it than done any other way.

Vorteile:

- API source and target adapters stand out the most because we can now take our data in and out of cloud services where there hasn't been a vendor making a special ODBC driver to interact with their service.- Effortless point and click configuration for 80%+ of the product.

Nachteile:

- Some features are still rough. The Excel source adapter needs further enhancement to loop through worksheets and functions absent that is present in the CSV adapter.

It's been okay overall, the software works well for what it does.

Kommentare: The main benefit I get from the product is dealing with the intricacies of connecting to a REST API that requires OAUTH2 authentication.

Vorteile:

It definitely takes care of the intricacies of OAUTH2, and the fact that zappysys provides a callback url to use is very helpful.

Nachteile:

The fact that JSON Integration package includes the JSON Source Connector, but not the REST API/OAUTH connection to go with it is highly disappointing. It feels as if they are doing that just to get customers to spend the extra dollars, that was probably the most disappointing part of my experience. I also notice the custom token prefix setting for the REST API/OAUTH connection doesn't really work.

it is a little hard to do the configuration.

Excellent product - has saved untold hours building custom applications

Kommentare: Data integrations and warehousing. Ability to pull data via DBA-friendly tool such as SSIS rather than .NET developer creating a new service to pull data every time we turn around.

Vorteile:

JSON/API tasks and data flows, Advance Filesystem Tasks, SFTP components

Nachteile:

Occasional problems when using new components for the first time - usually resolved with a new release of the software. Support is very communicative and helpful though.

Great simplification of integration development process

Kommentare: Great choice for ETL development, solo developer will fully repay price of SSIS Power Pack in a matter of months with own time saved.

Vorteile:

Support, they are really into helping to solve your problem. not just to fix own bugs. A lot of guidelines and pretty good documentation on all provided features.

Nachteile:

A bit tricky process of upgrading to higher level of subscription.

Great product, great support

Vorteile:

Great product, extensive features and easy to get up and running quickly. The support I've experienced has been exceptional, definitely the best I've ever received from any software vendor.

Nachteile:

There is a learning curve but that is to be expected when there are such extensive features.

Zappy is a MUST HAVE!

Vorteile:

We are able to connect to any rest API so easily with Zappy. I honestly can't imagine how much more work it would take to do what we are doing without it.

Nachteile:

None, it works super well. I guess the UI could be a little easier but honestly there is nothing wrong with this tool.

Kommentare: Time saving, solving complex tasks without having to code.

Vorteile:

Easy to use with drag and drop features. You can achieve many complicated processes without any coding. Support is always available via chat on web page.

Nachteile:

Nothing to note.

Great product and great support when you need it

Kommentare: Primarily used for ETL from WEB service, SQL, csv files sources with SSIS packages that run hourly 24x7.

Vorteile:

Been using ZappySys for about a year to save development time/cost on a ETL project with a short implementation time, our SSIS packages implemented with ZappySys components have been trouble-free.

Nachteile:

Some component configurations are not intuitive, but once figured out it works great

SSIS PowerPack to solve data integration requirements

Kommentare: I have been using a small subset of PowerPack but what it does it does it very well. Set-it up, deploy it and forget about it.

Vorteile:

PowerPack had a collection of components that I could only find here. It allowed me to extend SSIS and automate a number of web and API data integrations.

Nachteile:

I do not think it is the product fault but sometimes, setting-up API powered data integrations is difficult, at least for me.

Amazing support

Kommentare: The support is outstanding. Last year I was given a tight deadline and I couldn't get the Zappysys connector to do what I wanted it to do. I raised a request and within 3 days a new version was available that saved my skin.

Vorteile:

What I really like about Zappysys software is that the user interface is littered with links to places where you can get more details.

Nachteile:

This is going to sound odd, but, sometimes I find that the company name "Zappysys" gives people the wrong impression. It doesn't sound dull and boring enough to stop people worrying about things like longevity. I usually have to dig out our original PO to show that we've been using the software for getting on to 6 or 7 years.

Great product and support

Kommentare: I am not a DBA by trade. I have had to learning everything on the job. My company wanted to extend our SQL environment to include the use of SSIS packages for data transforms and other tasks. This product has helped me expand my skill set with SSIS and SQL overall. Now I still get stuck on how to do something but Zappy has a great support team that will put you in a stroller and push you around. All the while tell you everything will be ok. Great product but its the support that keeps coming back.

Vorteile:

Helps simplify tasks that can be a overwhelming for the accidental DBA. With a outstanding support network to guide you through the process of using the tools.

Nachteile:

some tasks are not always straight forward when it comes to working with parameters.

Vorteile:

Every SSIS control is feature-rich. Doing work with Zappysys is really easy. The Tech support team is very supportive and provides response in a few seconds.

Nachteile:

Nothing as such. I never faced an issue.

Zappy Saves the Day

Kommentare: We use the tool to connect with multiple systems and webservices. When we have been stuck the gracious staff of zappysys has done remote sessions and got us moving in the right direction.

Vorteile:

The ease of use of the software. The documentation and support is excellent.

Nachteile:

I would like to see the merge action be added to the dynamics 365 destination connector.

Excellent Solution

Kommentare: We solved our issue of easily connecting to web rest APIs. The overall experience with this product is nothing short of fantastic.

Vorteile:

The ease of connecting to Web Rest APIs is the reason we purchased the product. We are using it to connect to many different APIs. The support is phenomenal!! Their support team helped me find bugs in my vendor’s API.

Nachteile:

I have not found anything not to like. The product is excellent.

Fast and Easy to use components

Kommentare: Great support. Fast response to questions. Scheduled screen sharing sessions to fit my calendar.

Vorteile:

I purchased this for the API objects and the easy to configure and reuse of the API source connections.

Nachteile:

I needed a support technician to assist when I couldn't make an API connection. They were quick to respond and easy to work with.

Connectors for externals sources

Vorteile:

Very Simple to use. Modern connectors coded well.

Nachteile:

Configuration is sometimes difficult to implement.

Vorteile:

Plug and Play we give it some relational table sql and it turns out Jsons for Kinesis streams to Elastic Search. we also drain sql to redshift

Nachteile:

license manager does not work - we run on EC2 on Amazon AWS and the machine ids seem to be screwed up - would like a customer portal with assigned key management

Amazing. The best SSIS connectors pack you will find.

Vorteile:

Easy to use. A lot of good connectors that really helps the developers. For people who works with big data, data warehouse, mining, the have the best tools for sure.

Nachteile:

I wish I have someone talking in portuguese there. it would be easier to talk and explain the problems we have sometimes. Despite that, their technical support are really good.

Makes light work of SSIS, and makes the Standard Features look poor!

Kommentare: Improves our logging, our functionality and reduces the need for over complicated packages.

Vorteile:

Primarily, its easy to use, the documentation helps and when you get stuck Support are fantastic. The Tasks themselves, are perfect for our use case, and add functionality to our packages that we didn't have before. We extensively use XML and large files, and the SSIS PowerPack makes light work of it. It fills the holes in the SSIS toolbox, which so desperately needed filling..

Nachteile:

I'd say the filtering on the Tasks could be a little easier to understand, but im really scratching the barrel here for "dislikes".. personally its been an good experience...

Awesome Support

Vorteile:

The support was awesome. Originally just bought it for the Report SSIS task, Upgraded to full model to replace CozyRoc... Have recently switched from CozyRoc... Whose support was terrible and very condescending... Very Happy so far

Nachteile:

Haven't run into any issues yet... It would be nice if the software knew what I was thinking and transform it into code;)

Great support

Kommentare: Using API calls and Google analytics have become easy with zappysys.

Vorteile:

Most of the configuration set-up in the SSIS components we use are translated to simple english. For instance, you don't need to understand auth2.0 to set up Google Analytics authentication tokens through zappysys connection manager.

Nachteile:

Documentation does not cover every nook and corner. Issues become difficult to find in google too.
