Kommentare: We've been using ProPresenter since 2011 and absolutely love the ease of use and stability. It's been a great product with great support when you need it.

Vorteile:

We can train a volunteer to use ProPresenter in just a few minutes, but the depth of features is outstanding. We probably use less than half of the capabilities of ProPresenter, so it scales with us. It's also rock solid. Nothing induces panic like a last-minute software crash. It very rarely has any issues.

Nachteile:

You definitely pay for the quality and features. There are less expensive options but they can't touch the stability of ProPresenter. I feel like the subscription system they have moved to is cost prohibitive to some smaller churches and organizations.

Stable, powerful software for church production

Kommentare: ProPresenter is a stable, reliable, feature-rich presentation software that is ideal suited for churches that continue to improve, both in stability and features. It works for those looking for a simple upgrade from PowerPoint and allows you to grow in your use and implementation as your needs change.

Vorteile:

I love the versatility and flexibility ProPresenter offers. It allows me to not only present images, graphics, and videos to our church congregation for our services but also for many advanced features, such as outputting a lower thirds signal to our video switcher and taking video inputs in to put on our screen (using NDI). I also find the software to be very stable and easier to use than other presentation software I've used in the past. I also enjoy that I can pair ProP with Companion to allow it to interface with other software and hardware, such as our video switcher and sound board.

Nachteile:

As an advanced software program, it can be challenging for new volunteers to master features beyond operating a prepared "show". However, there are many videos and written tutorials, including from Renewed Vision, which are helpful for initial training.

You will be sorry for purchasing Propresenter

Kommentare: When it works it is great. However, often they push updates that are terrible. When one of these faulty updates come out, they mess up the whole product. When it does it is super hard and time consuming to have fixed. In fact, I have been waiting since Saturday to have our product fixed. The reason that I am having to wait, is because it has to be at propresnter's convenience. I do not recommend this product, unless you are a software engineer. If you do not have much experience with programs like this......you will wish you never purchased this program. I wish I hadn't. Procontent has some good things, as well, but I think that it was misrepresented as well.

Vorteile:

To be honest. I do not have much to say good about it. When the product works, it is a great product. However, they push updates that they do not check, and it constantly causes issues with the program. When you need support it is always on their time, and at their convenience. They have no support on the weekends, and they sometimes push the updates on Fridays that have issues and then you are scrambling for another program to substitute propresenter, becasue it will not work. In the past these updates have caused issues to the presentation screens, the program itself, files not being recognized; and often times you are not able to use the products that you purchased from them. They have no recompensation policy, so if they mess and they often do.....there mistake is on your time and dime.

Nachteile:

The updates. Their timing is terrible. It is almost if they expect that you should have IT person on staff. They take no real responsibility for the actions that constantly cost their customers time and money.

A Powerful Presentation Application with a Learning Curve

Kommentare: ProPresenter has a learning curve. While each individual feature is sufficiently documented, which features to use as well as how to use them took time as well as trial and error. An external tool (e.g., web app) that allows one to specify what they wish to accomplish and produces a baseline configuration and playlist template with supporting documentation would be welcomed. After using ProPresenter for six weeks, I can now create a weekly service playlist in ten minutes. Since we also stream from ProPresenter, we only need one volunteer to operate ProPresenter. Formally, we needed one operator to run our presentation software and another to run our streaming software. This allowed us to start a graphics design team to better use the gifts and talents of our volunteers.

Vorteile:

It is very powerful and can do almost anything you want. It offers great flexibility in terms of physical displays, virtual displays, audio routing. Once understood the looks feature and themes are fairly easy to use. I also like ProPresenter/MultiTracks integration and automation.

Nachteile:

The biggest feature that ProPresenter lacks is fool-proof collaboration. If multiple people are creating a playlist (e.g., a weekly Sunday service), then they must be very careful in merging their efforts into a single master. I know such a fully automatic synchronization feature would be challenging to implement well. However, it would be very welcomed. Perhaps a next step is a semi-automated process. For example, before synchronizing ProPresenter could analyze the contents of the collaborators' repositories, present a difference report, and allow the user to specify which synchronization options to allow to the master. While not fully automated, this would be more helpful than the current implementation.

Great for complex playlists but requires hardware to match

Kommentare: It was a great experience with my laptop that had good performance characteristics. I had to export and import a concert playlist into the venue computers at certain locations and this caused problems with the venue computer crashing in the middle of the performance. I had to restart the computer on several occasions - and find my place again in the performance when it came back up.

Vorteile:

Easily group together multiple media types into a cohesive presentation for a fuller audience experience.

Nachteile:

I found it difficult to quickly apply changes to all presentations in the playlist for a concert. Sometimes we had to adjust for the position of the projector and screen in different venue and making theme adjusts required me to manually reapply the theme to indvidual slides in each presentation. This was very cumbersome.

A Great Program with little to complain about.

Kommentare: I'm enthusiastic and very satisfied with ProPresenter. I've recommend it to several friends managing their church's online and in-person worship.

Vorteile:

Works well for our small church

Kommentare: We are a small church using volunteers to run our sound and projection stuff. I like that we can train our volunteers on the basics quickly and then help them to develop skill with the mor complex stuff as we go. We have kids helping (part of our investment in future volunteers in sound/projection) and they can advance slides and do the basic stuff well under supervision and learn more as they do.

Vorteile:

The ease with which we can set up a set for Sunday worship. We have a set for each week of the month and can change the content quickly and easily, especially with the connection to Song Select.

Nachteile:

We have issues occasionally with the program changing the screen setup taking time to figure out what to do to get things back. It may be as much a Windows thing as a ProPresenter thing though.

Love version 18!

Vorteile:

I really like the new features, which allow users to share their iPhone or Mac screen and the built-in camera. So many uses for this functionality. I'm excited to use it so much more.

Nachteile:

I typically use ProPresenter on the back end, setting up the technical side of things. So, as far as building presentations, I know just enough to be dangerous. I sometimes struggle with the intuitive side of building a new playlist. I just need to work with it more and I'll be better at it.

Professional Product and Service

Using ProPresenter helps

Kommentare: ProPresenter is something that we don't think we can live without in our production team. It makes things look so professional and very organized. It is such a great tool for our church.

Vorteile:

ProPresenter is a key piece in our worship services on Sunday mornings, as well as any other services we may hold. It has been a tremendous asset to us in our production quality.

Nachteile:

It tends to be a bit bulky and clunky. It's also not super user-friendly, as you do need training to be able to navigate it.

Kommentare: We use this software for services 3 times a week and I am a daily user for setup.

Vorteile:

I really love that we can organize our services for the week and in case I am on vacation, I can have it all done for my team before I leave.

Nachteile:

I can't think of anything I would say is a con.

Love it! Bible verses, songs, slides are easy. Planning center integration works well.

Kommentare: Great! I can send notes and get help right in the software. It'd be nice if they were around on the weekend, but they always reply back during the following week

Vorteile:

Flexibility, reliability, works with alpha key switchers like blackmagic so you can key out blacks and do gradient fills that fade out to transparent.

Nachteile:

Be careful of trying the beta versions, they make changes often that sometimes break things.

The Industry Standard

Kommentare: It's the industry standard for a reason. There's nothing else like it.

Vorteile:

Easy to use once you get the hang of it. Quite versatile. Very powerful. So easy to import and edit songs and scriptures. Integrates fairly easily with other hardware and software.

Nachteile:

Sometimes, the updates can cause glitches in the program, resulting in the occasional crash or spot of chaos.

10+ years: ProPresenter performs

Kommentare: We use ProPresenter occasionally, and have found it always performs more robustly than other solutions (whether free or paid). I love the affordable Bible versions, CCLI integration, and motion backgrounds, too.

Vorteile:

I've been a fan of the simplicity and stability of ProPresenter for ten years. I'm also very impressed with their quick and efficient support. In my position, I've used several different church presentation solutions over the years, and ProPresenter is worth the expense and the time it might take to transition from another platform. As a video professional, I appreciate the robust playback and the flexibility it offers to adapt to unique projection situations.

Nachteile:

We had trouble keeping track of who in our organization was "occupying a seat", but now with the new subscription plan, that should be eaiser to manage.

Propresenter is amazing!

Easy Slide Creating/Editing

Kommentare: I use ProPresenter to create the Welcome/Announcement slides for Sunday morning worship. After gaining the knowledge of how to create and edit, it only a few minutes to update the slides each week. Super easy!

Vorteile:

It's easy to update slides for the worship service each week and Special slides such as holiday slides can be "hidden" and enabled again for later use. It saves time by not having to recreate slides each time.

Nachteile:

It can be a little confusing for beginners but nothing in particular stands out as a negative.

Powerful software, but geared towards pros

Kommentare: ProPresenter has a lot of powerful features but comes with a tradeoff to simplicity. The software is also expensive compared to others in the market and has a steep learning curve. If you're a small group or church you should be able to get most things done with free alternatives like Worship Tools (earlier Worship Extreme). But if you have the budget and resources to manage and master such a system, it's a solid choice.

Vorteile:

It's very powerful. You can build almost any kind of presentation setup you can imagine with it. It comes with features like libraries and playlists, timers, automations, multiple display support, etc. which are really helpful when organizing large events.

Nachteile:

It has a steep learning curve. The UI looks intimidating to first time users and there are a lot of new terms like arrangements, layers stack, actions, etc. that you need to learn and understand.

Best A/V Tool for Worship

Vorteile:

ProPresenter makes creating presentations super simple. The interface is so clean and easy-to-navigate. I use it while volunteering for my local church to project content like song lyrics, slides, videos and verses onto the screens during the service.

Nachteile:

Not a lot of customization options for the interface

Enjoying and using ProPresenters

Kommentare: i make a little money with ProPresenter to go teach in churches and also help them with their live streaming, i use my already known skills to teach while learning more about the app and also making a little money from it

At first during i had a alot of dificulties using ProPresenter but now i do really enjoy using using it, integration was not easy as i needed to change machines upon machines to be able to use it.one of my best features is the the dual Monitor alot of similar applications don't have this function but ProPresenter has it and with the Free one available it just makes everything beautiful for us who can't afford to buy it

Nachteile:

as of now i don't have any problme using propresenter but i will love to suggest that if we can add tutorial videos to the application itself, in such a way that when someone installs it he then can watch the tutorials it will really help newbies to the application, helping us to maintain them and make their stay with ProPresenter a great one

Great For Training
