No.1 Brand backup, simple to use for cloud and on prem, very sensible costs

Vorteile:

Being able to action a single file restore for a backup image is great. restore of image gives you option to restore to Azure or bare-metal, so covers all on and off prem scenarios.

Nachteile:

had an issue once with the on-prem server agent but fixed after 1 ticket raised with Microsoft. was down to a firewall from the office being changed and the port/rule not being updated to allow the backup to happen.

Azure Backup

Vorteile:

The ease of ensuring back up capabilities on servers and systems to ensure data is kept safe and protect against ransom ware attacks. Back up is easy and easily accessible. It is easy manageable, with a easy disaster recovery. It is easy to integrate with all other Microsoft products/

Nachteile:

Full back up is time consuming. The system needs a high bandwidth. Connection failure with certain firewalls. The system is not easy for every user, and one must have expert knowledge.

Infrastructure less protection of azure VMs !!!

Kommentare: Protection of azure vm was fast and easy with storage redundancy to select from LRS/GRS.Also option of CRR is good

Vorteile:

Deployment requires minimum effort with no infrastructure to manage it is really good option to protect azure VMS.

Nachteile:

It also has the flavor of on prem solution but does not meet requirement of other backup solutions in terms of feature and scale. It also has dependencies on domain which is required for on prem backup restricting its capability of deployment on prem in many scenarios.

Azure Data Backup with no worries

Kommentare: It was very good experience with Azure and we are enjoying using it.

Vorteile:

Azure comes with the brand trust of Microsoft and its customers support is very good.

Nachteile:

Should have more easy UI for ease of understanding

Azure Backup is a very good tool that has allowed the company to store and retrieve information easily. It is very important tool that is very cost effective and easy to maintain.

Nachteile:

It has its complications especially when the network is overload. you will to re initiate the channel connections

Perfect for in-cloud backup

Kommentare: This is a great tool to easily back up data on an Azure based VM.

Vorteile:

It is now very easy to enable and configure for workloads running on servers within Azure. There are options to configure the basic settings directly on the virtual machine blade itself.

Nachteile:

It is not a great option for local workloads. While you can configure it for local and cloud backup it is cumbersome and the reporting is not the greatest.

Great Utility to secure Azure based resources

Kommentare: Overall it's a very good experience with Azure backup, I never see any failure in taking daily backup and it works 100% as expected.

Vorteile:

I like many features and one of them is easy to use product especially when Backup option is available at almost every resource. I also found restoration is much easier and simple when comparing with any other cloud provider.

Nachteile:

There are few features like continues replication, Migration of backup from one location to another location. I also found reporting service is little complicated when there is a need of backup report.

Creating backups in the cloud with Azure Backup

Kommentare: I've been using Azure Backup and even though I encountered some API issues, the service itself is very useful, secure, fast and smooth.

Vorteile:

The integration of Azure Backup with all Azure services is very useful and easy to get it done, it's very secure, an user-friendly interface,

Nachteile:

I experienced some API errors when creating a backup, I had to reload the page or use a different browser.

Backup with Azure

Kommentare: For the purpose of offline and online backups Azure backup is excellent

Vorteile:

We use on premise servers and we wanted a solution for our backups that would be available everywhere and on demand for both security and expansion purposes. We loved the fact that we can hybridize our backups and since we mostly use windows server we went with Azure backup

Nachteile:

We are yet to find any shortcomings with Azure backup for our use case

Product for recovery and backup data

Kommentare: I have used this few times to backup our project data in cloud. The setup was easy and team was able to configure things like backup policies easily.

Vorteile:

I love the interfaces and the navigations because users can easily to their tasks. We can configure backup policies such as the period that we need to retain the backups and the security settings such as encryption for backups. Also when we need to recover the backup data, we can easily do them according to our backup policies.

Nachteile:

For startups this is very expensive because the cost depends on the period that we set our data to backup.

Absolute Contentment with Azure Backup

Kommentare: I breathe easier at night realizing we have Azure Backup set up. I am convinced in this technique after having to checking up and entire backups several times. I would highly advise everyone and anyone who uses Azure to use Azure Backups; in reality, if they do not really, I doubt I would do deal with them.

Vorteile:

-Protect actual devices on-premises.-Azure Backup is used to backup Azure virtual machines.-Backups should be restored.-Azure Site Restoration replicates servers to Azure for backup and recovery.

Nachteile:

-A backup plan for schedules would be useful.-Restore vaults must ask you whether you want to receive alerts when you initially set it up; I've found a number of times where backup process errors were not setup to send email alerts a couple of weeks later.

Simply move your backups into cloud

Kommentare: It is very convenience to setup and use with simplified configuration steps. It has replaced classic tape based backup and extend backup capabilities into cloud.

Vorteile:

Azure backup is capable of baking up varies kind of workload such as Azure VMs, On-prem VMs, SQL DBs and Files. It will provide simplified experience for enabling backups for your needs and geo redundant storages will move your data into geographically separated datacenters and enable maximum protection against your backup data. Azure backup will best option to replace your classic tape based backup solutions.

Nachteile:

The Azure backup server has no redundancy inbuilt and it allow only two time online backup per day.

Vorteile:

Azure provides our team with assurance that our data is stored in the right place and that they provide reliable backup. Command line tools are not at all bad and are what you would expect for a Microsoft software to produce. Tech support responds quite rapidly as well and provides information vital to any problems we share with them. I had a good experience with this software so far.

Nachteile:

I have not met any disadvantage with Azure. It has been perfect so far.

Backup though Azure

Vorteile:

Azure Backup can be customized to meet the needs of your company. Once it is setup correctly, usually by your IT service provider, it runs seamlessly in the background and you know your files are safe and there for you to use if you need to. Microsoft is very reliable and I trust them to protect my company's data.

Nachteile:

The setup and configuration is not something that just anyone can do. In most cases, a microsoft trained engineer or your IT service provider would need to set it up for you.

Performance! Easy!

Kommentare: Its a good solution, the features are provided that most every business needs and wants. The ability to get reports and remote confirmation of backups almost in real time is great. It handles large data backup with ease, no issues with whole drive backups, etc.

Vorteile:

Its faster than most backup providers. The interface is easy and simple to use. It does not take long to perform backups under the right time periods. Does provide the reporting we need and allows for custom features that others lack.

Nachteile:

It can be pricy and it leans towards more enterprise level than small business. It seems to have some speed issues at times

backups can't be any easier

Vorteile:

Very easy to use, user friendly, and most of all this walks you through step by step on creating on prem, in the cloud backups. Documentation give perfect detail on how to set this up.

Nachteile:

as of now I have not encountered any issues using the software other than it can take up to 45 min for a job to finish, of course depending on the size of the vm

Azure Backup is a solid, cloud-integrated backup

Kommentare: Overall, I have a good experience with this solution and all my company too.
This solution is reliable. This solution has many layers of authentication and gives us easier protection against ransomware software. In short, Azure works without problems.

Vorteile:

The Azure Backup software allows us to easily create backups. We create backups in a local environment, but it's great that this solution gives you the ability to backup to virtual machines. We are happy that we have the ability to restore files.

Nachteile:

This software has frequent changes. On one side it's good, but on the other it's not. Sometimes we have the impression that we can't keep up with these changes. Compared to the competition, this product is relatively expensive.

Easily backs up from our Windows Server

Kommentare: We were offered the option of having our Windows Server back up to cloud storage using Azure Backup. It was easy to set up ourselves in Windows Server Backup, and it is scheduled to back up automatically. It seems to be reliable, and the price is fairly reasonable. It is slow to back up, but it operates in the background so it is OK.

Vorteile:

It was easy to set up Azure Backup to back up our Windows Server to cloud storage automatically.

Nachteile:

It is very slow to back up. Even starting a backup job takes several minutes, with a progress bar moving but with little indication of why it would be so slow.

Vorteile:

Azure Backup is the best cloud back up service managed by Microsoft cooperation. It helps users to protect the data whether it of SQL server data or data belongs to the SharePoint location. Azure Backup service lessens the workload on any IT company.

Nachteile:

Azure Backup service is costly for huge data backup requirements. GUI tools are not up to the mark.

he most valuable feature is the possibility of using Microsoft and non-Microsoft services.

Vorteile:

There is no one special feature for me, as it makes sense as a complete package. I would mention container services as well, as this is the most modern concept of bimodal IT. For example, doing development in companies without the need of building development servers. You can just using some special parts as micro-services and putting them together like Lego pieces. This is the real benefit of cloud and Azure.

Nachteile:

There should definitely be some improvement in the UI. It is lacking in terms of where the end user has to click on other icons and go back to the main menu to change some small settings and then go back through many options to the main request. This is something which Microsoft is constantly working on, but still it needs improvement.

Secure and reliable backup solution

Kommentare: We were looking for a backup solution that we can use for the services running on Azure and On-prem. Azure backup came out to be the best solution for this.

Vorteile:

1. Encrypted backups 2. Easy to take backup and restore 3. Available for both cloud and on-prem services

Nachteile:

1. Cost is a bit too high 2. Not available for other service providers 3. Integration with some services are not available

Kommentare: A very neat software for professionals. It can put our mind to ease knowing that our backups are safe with Microsoft.

Vorteile:

I feel the best part about Azure backup is Microsoft's promise of having a reliable cloud server for its clients. Backups are easily stored and can also be done using scheduling. Folders can beorganised categorically in the cloud. easily accesable from any platform.

Nachteile:

Uses a lot of data, which can be a problem in non enterprise environments. A beginner might struggle with the interface.

Awesome product for backup!

Vorteile:

Microsoft Azure Backup is super easy to use and setup. It provides tons of excellent features and tools for backup and protects all of the important data. Accessible from anywhere and any device, most securitized cloud platform.

Nachteile:

The software is expensive, and some tools are only for one project. Azure Backup has lack of long-term management service. Technical Support is slow.

My Opinion on Azure Backup

Vorteile:

The best part of this software is that it is part of the cloud. You will always have a safety net that everything will be saved and be located all in one spot. Anytime, anywhere, you can pick right up exactly where you left off. I also love the fact that many different parts of businesses can use this and its not just set up for one specific use.

Nachteile:

So I found that the small amount of time I tried using the software by Microsoft was a bit confusing in one way or another. I think that it is a bit busy in other words because it takes more time to get used to is the location of everything. I do think that the basic point to this software is good.

One of the first Cloud backup solutions that still stands

Vorteile:

Ready carefully the installation manual screens are you're good to go. Installation is quick and your data is being backup-ed to the cloud in no time. And only pay what you're using!

Nachteile:

There are still some customers with older operarting systems, yes there are... Minimum requirements, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.
