Vorteile:

It has been a platform with a powerful data integration structure with easy installation, the database can be viewed in a more analytical way, improving the knowledge that can be had about this data.

Nachteile:

the learning curve is a bit complex because it is not a basic knowledge platform, you must have extensive knowledge of this type of platform to know how to use it correctly

Kommentare: Very positive. It's stable, performant, well-featured, well-documented, has a great ecosystem. The dev team is responsive to feature requests & fixes.

Vorteile:

Very fully featured, and constantly evolving. Produced by a knowledgeable and professional team.

Nachteile:

Enterprise license is expensive; if you don't use all the Stardog-specific features then Amazon's hosted Neptune service might be better value.

Stardog based triplestore service

Vorteile:

Stardog fulfilled all requirements for VSHN to build a Triplestore-as-a-Service offering

Nachteile:

Service provider requirements differ from regular enterprise customers

Future looking knowledge store

Kommentare: Combining of standard semantic graph capabilities with well selected features outside of standard creates perfect environment for the delivering of future looking artificial intelligence applications in the enterprise environment.

Vorteile:

Integration of analytical capabilities with the graph store, visual studio for the developer productivity, virtualization of data and data integration capabilities

Nachteile:

Need a cloud product offer, which I hope coming soon

Stardog, the intelligent NoSQL Database, with a power schema, and a great integration platform

Kommentare: At 3 different clients, I have participated in the creation of different solutions as:
(1) CMDB application including management of configuration items and impact analysis in case of failure.
(2) Integration of external market data with internal sources, including Master Data Management of Organizations.
(3) Real estate transactions analysis using spatial functions
(4) Human resource profiles access using full text search
(5) Human resource competency management
(6) Branch search using spatial functions

Vorteile:

As a RDF NoSQL database, Stardog is the best of both worlds: flexible as a NoSQL DB but with a powerful schema. Also, the product is a complete integration platform as it enables, not only virtually accessing other SQL and NoSQL databases, but also the integration of unstructured information. The fact that text search and spatial functions are also provided completes Stardog's abilities as a full integration platform.

Nachteile:

As a newer DBMS, Stardog will still need investment in the areas of database management and monitoring to make it easier to deploy, maintain and support.
