BRIX - Hombuilder Software
Kommentare: I have been using BRIX's a year or two after inception and before BRIX's used The Homebuilder Software Package that it was converted from. I have been able to quickly do queries when asked by the owner or other managers to enable them to make critical decisions. It is easy to navigate and make changes when contacted by users.
Vorteile: Very easy to use, easy to navigate once you understand its structure, all modules or categories (Job Cost, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Purchasing, etc.) all use the same data base. Very robust. Can download into excel, can upload from excel into the software. Very flexible.
Nachteile: Security, wish could restrict users by projects. Wish you determine if a user can login remotely from home. Restrict IP logins.

Kommentare: We are a local mid-sized home builder that uses Brix for our accounting and purchasing systems. Brix has served us well in both areas and is a really good value for the amount of features it has.
- Has all the major features a home builder needs in a accounting/purchasing system
- Cloud based so there is no risk of losing data and everything is saved automatically
- Excellent value compared to other systems
- Takes some time to get familiar with how the system works
- Documentation is sparse on some items

Can import large quantities of data (JE's, budgets, etc.)
Can also export large quantities of data.
Can customize different views with different criteria.
Can create customized job reports with selected data.
Can be very manual in some respects and can take many clicks and steps to complete certain processes and steps.
The Financial Report Writer in the GL seems very outdated and not very user friendly...oldschool.

Kommentare: The allocation feature is very useful, with many ways to allocate out various expenses.
Vorteile: The feature that allows you to export almost any views straight to Excel by hitting shift-F8
Nachteile: Lack of formatting options on reporting.
