Kommentare: Overall the experience is positive and it is a great solution for businesses looking to provide desktops to employees who do not need a lot of horse power.

Vorteile:

It is easily extensible and there are no asset costs related to it. It is easy to spin up and spin down new machines. All of the CPU/Memory is dedicated and not shared.

Nachteile:

It is difficult to configure individual machines easily for different needs. For example, increasing the memory on one machine requires numerous changes and must be done through Evolve IP

Great for Remote Access!

Kommentare: My overall experience has been positive so far. We have only used the free trial version as of now but plan to get a full subscription. It's easy to use and does everything it's supposed to do. I have never had any problems remotely accessing my devices from home. It quickly connects and you're good to go.

Vorteile:

Evolve IP (Virtual Desktop) is a great program that allows you or someone else to access your devices. I like that it's very quick and simple to share your screen or to give access to a co-worker. I am a teacher who uses their personal desktop computer in the classroom. I installed this software on my personal computer and my computer at home. I can easily access my computer at work from home with a simple click of a button. If my computer is acting up, I can easily give IT access to my computer so they can fix the problem. I no longer have to drive down to the Board of Education to have my device fixed. I can just send an email, and open the software, and our IT department can look into the problem remotely. The software interface is simple. It can easily be figured out within seconds. Doesn't take valuable time to learn how to use the software.

Nachteile:

One of the cons I would like to mention is scammers. I have never had this problem but have heard stories about scammers gaining access to victims' computers using this software and others like it. If you are using remote access software like Evolve IP, never give anyone access that you do not personally trust.

Not intuitive

Vorteile:

Ability to monitor call volume and get reports on demand is easy

Nachteile:

recent software changes have made making changes to our account relatively impossible without calling tech support

Daas is wonderful

Kommentare: i like being able to access from phone, ipad, home pc, work pc, and pretty much anywhere im at. if an issues comes up i can always log in really quick to address it.

Vorteile:

its in the cloud so desktop can be accessed anywhere.

Nachteile:

the desktop can be accessed anywhere so i never have the im not by my computer excuse anymore

Simple to use.

Kommentare: Ease or use no matter where we are at. Also cuts down on hardware cost since we wont have to replace Pc's or laptops as much since most of the power is in the cloud.

Vorteile:

i like the mobility of it. No matter where we are, as long as we have internet access, we can get to our work space and get things done.

Nachteile:

once per day the Daas will freeze for 30 seconds or so. doesnt bother me but my users complain about it. Also there are times when it may be sluggish but not normally.

Vorteile:

DaaS provides a Reliable and fully functional desktop solution that is easy to maintain

Nachteile:

Nothing - We use it daily and are signed up for a multi year contract

Virtual Desktop

Vorteile:

Data processing and availability made easy while staying compliant, customer service is good to resolve issues

Nachteile:

It is buggy, I face lot of connectivity issues lately

Easy to support

Kommentare: Daas has enabled the company to reduce their IT hardware overhead and continue with using only outside IT support as needed.

Vorteile:

Less needs for local IT equipment, and you can access from anywhere. The cloud servers are backed up and there is less worry during power outages, storms, loss of internet, etc.

Nachteile:

Supporting can be difficult if each user has their own custom desktop. Updating software means installs on each user profile which can be hard to manage.

So helpful especially during COVID-19

Vorteile:

Enables us to log into work computers remotely, which is essential particularly during this pandemic

Nachteile:

I think it could be more intuitive, user-friendly.
