The 3rd party add on for warehouse management called Datalinx is closed source and takes way too much back and forth to get customizations made by the small staff in England. I was misled by our Sage partner that Datalinx was just as customizable as core X3. Without Datalinx X3s warehouse/barcode abilities were so dismal that they would not even sell it to me. They switched to subscription only and seem to dislike us because we have a perpetual license, even though we pay annual support. > > We spent close to a million on a failed deployment to our business. It was not an appropriate choice for a complex distribution business like ours. We have only been able to use it for a small number of users at a small business unit. Sage has been a poor partner, clearly seeing us as a revenue source and not a business partner. They deflected our technical questions back to their 3rd party sales channel and offer little for the support fees that we pay them.
