Easy way to crowdsource and evaluate ideas from busy people

Kommentare: When I was evaluating the options, one thing that stood out with Ideawake was the people. It's a big enough company to deliver top-notch software and customer service but small enough to know team members by name. Because Ideawake is nimble, our rep was able to customize the software to fit one especially complex idea challenge. They listen, respond quickly and value their customers.

Vorteile:

It's easy for idea challenge participants to access the site through single sign-on, contribute ideas and interact with others by leaving comments or upvoting other people's ideas. One "complaint" we got from an early challenge was that it was so easy, people thought there had to be something wrong. Another huge benefit is its accessibility outside the network. Health care workers don't have extra time to use networked computers, so Ideawake makes it easy to engage with them on the smartphones, tablets or any computer.

Nachteile:

The current version is a bit tricky to set up challenges, but the Ideawake team is very accessible and hugely helpful, so we lean on them for back-end help. Once an idea challenge launches, we can typically troubleshoot most issues. I have seen a demo of the next platform, which will make it easier for administrators, so this shouldn't be as much of an issue.

Excellent for Hackathons and Ideas in between those cycles

Vorteile:

I really like how ideas are managed through implementation in the tool. It is easy to vote and find out how far the ideas has gone in the process. The ability to comment and like in the early phases is awesome as well to understand impact.

Nachteile:

I think our instance may just be segmented/configured in such a way where it is easier to find an idea if I remember the event it was discovered. I guess the point is I'm not sure if I've ever seen any documentation about how to search for an idea I've voted for every single time.

Kommentare: Not happy. Many changes are required to make it suitable to implement.

Only first step is good to capture the idea. Reports are good.

Nachteile:

After idea capturing, it looses the track. Work flow and the dashboard sequence do not match. Every process step i.e. evaluation, approval, implementation etc, need to have separate screen to understand. Date and time stamp with completion process is required for each sequence and it is missing. At the same time real time updating is not visible, every time i need to refresh it to see the effect. Idea system should be integrated with the KAIZEN, IPR and Big project systems. It shall be integrated with the TPM pillar concept to have good integration.

Project Management Made Easy

Vorteile:

I love this platform for managing projects within my program. I run a Nurse Residency Program 200+ nurses each year and have them work on quality improvement or EBP projects to positively impact patient and nursing outcomes. The platform allows multiple people to post and interact on the project while maintaining consistency and project standardization. The customizable stages guide the nurses through each stage of the project seamlessly. It visibility also allows organizational leaders to view the projects and interact through providing comments, suggestions, or simply encouragement. This virtual option is user friendly, environment friendly, and allows for a sustainable option for promoting innovation for nursing.

Nachteile:

I do not have anything I do not like about the platform. It is a useful program and the customer service is so amazing that I have no complaints.

Ease of use is one of the best features along side the friendly interface. I haven't seen a better interface.

I think the overall functionality and and presentation is great. Also, the overall interface and navigating through the site is appealing and easy.

Nachteile:

When I used ideawake to post an idea for a contest, the formatting of the text into the submission icon was disproportional and was not reflective of the the true formatting. In addition, reloading the list of submissions and using the filter to organize based on latest date took a bit of time to reload

This system is great! All companies should be using this! So easy to use and when anyone has an idea, just post it! Never has it been so easy to be heard and make actual change in the company you work for.

Nachteile:

Perhaps if the tags could be used to better target each department they pertain to. That way anyone with the power to make change in that department can be notified of the idea as well. This would hopefully get their input and move things along as well as get more eyes on a potential important idea.

Great Platform to Share New Ideas

Vorteile:

This is a great platform to share and vet unique ideas across all levels and departments. This is the first company in my 10+ year of experience that has used a platform like this and it's very empowering to be able to share any idea you have that is visible to leadership and can potentially make an impact on the business. It's very entertaining to see what other ideas employees come up with as well.

Nachteile:

There are a lot of ideas submitted but can't tell which ideas are being seriously considered by leadership

Pitch competition

Kommentare: It has been fairly seamless for the entirety of my use, but I haven't explored much of the website.

Vorteile:

I liked that it was easy to go from the link that was given, to the actual pitch competition sign-up.

Nachteile:

The software is fine, I just didn't like the phrasing on some of the prompts.

Ideawake has added many features since our initial launch in 2018; due to this, I don't have any complaints about the software.

Ideawake Gathers Your Ideas Together in One System

Vorteile:

Whenever we have meetings with the creative and technical departments, we are always brainstorming about ideas. I call it the meeting with the greatest minds because I’m always learning something new. It keeps me motivated to work better. Ideawake is an amazing application that allows you to put this ideas into good use. We compile them together and see which ones we can apply to our work. We also use it for the outside consumers because they are the ones who can provide helpful advice. Their added features are project management, tracking and status developments. Such a useful software for everyone.

Nachteile:

Haven’t encountered any problems so far, but I heard from my co-workers that they were not too happy with the customer service department because they had to wait for a long time to receive their reply for a certain issue. Other than that, a perfect 10.

Another contribution of the software is that it allows us to identify problems and situations that we did not know, because the employees take advantage of the surveys to also comment on other situations that were unknown.

Vorteile:

The approach that allowed us to do with the workers of the different areas. The work environment improves substantially because they begin to understand that we work for common problems, that we are interested in improving the environment for all.

Nachteile:

I liked the least is that there are many valuable individual ideas that can not be incorporated. In addition, it does not classify ideas or projects according to their viability. If we could incorporate a greater number of physical and engineering variables would give us the feasibility or discarding of ideas or projects at one time

I like the user-driven interface and the app-style interaction of the software. It keeps me engaged and keeps me involved in the idea process.

Nachteile:

So far, there is a functional error in tagging ideas (there are only three tags available, I can't add any, and the tags available aren't really related to the focus)

Great Application

Vorteile:

Good fit to gather input from target audience. Gamify feature set was attractive to keep respondents motivated.

Nachteile:

Must have Admin driving the process, also target audience must be smartphone user or web user. Many of our hourly employees have not crossed the digital divide.

I noticed you can't click "back" and navigate to the page you were on directly prior.
