I have a lot of experience in the past with a number of email marketing tools (like MailChimp, Emma and Constant Contact), but using DailyStory was such a leveling-up moment for my business. The initial key was its dynamic segment capabilities that are fully integrated with MindBody. That means that when I have a new member, DailyStory already knows and automatically adds them to my active-member group. If someone cancels, they're automatically removed. It immediately resolved my issue of manually updating my audience lists (which I had been spending way too much time on). Of course, the ability to break up my automatically updating database of contacts into other automatically updating segments is possible as well. (For example, members who haven't visited my studio in 7 days or 21 days, etc.) This alone has helped ensure that the right message is getting to the right people in my database. Invaluable! To take the email capabilities even further, there's a feature called Autopilot that (when set up) will automatically perform any number of functions. Here's an example: I have a Welcome-style email set up to send out immediately to all new members, and I can easily update that email or swap it out entirely as needed. This has made the front-end of my operation so much more efficient because a new member doesn't have to wait on us to explain the bigger-picture things that we have going on. When I first started with the software, I was super grateful for the onboarding training that was very robust, but it still took a little while to get used to the setup. Features that I struggled with in the initial first months have actually been upgraded sense.

I love being able to easily group my contacts and have them atomically update based on my search criteria. I also like how easy it is to create an email from scratch or a template and then schedule it out so I don't have to think about it. Their customer support is amazing too. I never went more than 24 hours to get a question resolved or help with a more advanced feature from a live person.
I wish knew more about writing html or css so I could do more creative things with landing pages and emails that go beyond what the designer has to offer.

What we liked best was that it did exactly what we needed it to do. Initial setup was easy, understanding everything that it offered took some time, but what we appreciated most was the personal attention we received from the DailyStory team as we were getting everything setup.
More documentation would be helpful. We found the documentation to be incomplete on some topics and completely missing on others.
