easy to check technical Impacts because using own Namespace in SAP implemented interface and other function modules; fast track implementation possible; highly integrated into the SAP Master Data and capacity planning transactional data modell; visualisation of planning results following the Supply Chains as well as alerts for stock Development, Extended ATP, Capacity Situation recent and in future, as well as Simulation mode available; using of campaigns in capacity planning aggregated and disaggregated; easy dialog in combination of graphical and table views and Excel Exports supported; technical understanding of the supplier in SAP configured processes, data and functions; Client-Server Architecture and supported remote Administration and Monitoring as well using of XenApp Clients possible; needs not an own Data base server; scalable and partly configurable reporting functions by customer

Flexible customizable Software

Kommentare: Business specific requirements could be solved with MWB.

Vorteile:

The MWB is a User friendly and intuitive Planning tool. The customization is very flexible and ORSOFT is very open to get Customer requirements done and changes accordingly the standard setup. Support during projects is very good, the short reaction time for important issues does help to keep the business running. A great benefit is the dynamic ATP check and the Gantt chart set up.

Nachteile:

For some changes cost intensive. The start takes sometimes very long, because the master data are maintained in external system (SAP).

Great to see dependencies

Vorteile:

To see the dependencies of the several Productionlevels in one tool. Changing one step influences the complet production schedule- visually

Nachteile:

Takes really much time to feed the tool with data

Kommentare: MWB allows us to incorporate our many manufacturing risks into the produktion plan.
In addition, we are now able to send our production plans directly to the production departments via the SAP Systems. No more Excel sheets are needed on paper.

Vorteile:

I like the graphical representation of different mistakes. A great advantage are the technical posibilities for scheduling the process orders.

Nachteile:

The processing times of the data take too long. In our version it is not yet possible to undo individuel steps. (But this should already be changed in the current version)

Kommentare: During the SAP implementation, we found that the SAP standard neither provides a clear overview of the production planning, nor does it have the additional disposable data in simple overviews. ORSOFT has solved these issues for us and we have introduced a tool with MWB that considerably simplifies and accelerates the planning for us.

Vorteile:

the very simple intuitive operation in contrast to the SAP standard. Master data and transaction data can be checked very easily and the dispatcher can easily be provided with all the data required for work. Functionalities such as the material cascades are very useful for the operative work and facilitate the work very much.

Nachteile:

Nothing, we have no problems in the project or in the daily using

Vorteile:

To achieve maximum profitability, we can now swiftly create efficient production plans that consider the most recent order scenarios, while also taking into account the plant's capacity and present load.

Nachteile:

The project and everyday activities are proceeding according to schedule. Nothing is going wrong.

ORSOFT MWB for discrete industries

Kommentare: ORSOFT MWB is used to schedule daily production including capacity management for up to 3 weeks depending on production department and market segment. Weekly capacity harmonization for mid-term planning (3-12 weeks).

Vorteile:

Flexible and capabilities to adopt complex scheduling processes. Interaction with SAP in terms of master and operational data, no special data inside ORSOFT required. Next interaction with SAP in terms of changes to SAP objects very user friendly.

Nachteile:

Constraints due to usage of an older version of ORSOFT MWB which are solved on current version.

Kommentare: The biggest difficulty was the component allocation, matching the filling and mixing. To find the optimal sequenz with the greatest efficiency for everyone and to keep our service level high and even increase it

Vorteile:

is the easiest and clearest possibility to optimally plan a production with different requirements and and the always friendly, professional and solution-oriented support by OR-Soft.

Nachteile:

if the planning is on an error, it is not always clear what the mistake is

Vorteile:

Orsoft offers a good and detailed overview of the capacity use of the production units, very user friendly interface. production planning can be refined down to the smallest details. As well as creating reports is a breeze.

Nachteile:

Everything depends on your own master data. complex production recipes make (re)scheduling slower and more difficult.

Integrated Planning with MWB

Kommentare: Once a standard is defined a rollout into other Sites is quite easy and straight forward.
The system response time is very quick

Easy to update Master Data as you have to maintain them only on SAP

Vorteile:

The tool runs on a server environement and is able to collect all for planning required data over a certified SAP Interface. Rely on SAP BOM, Recipe... no Master Data Maintenance in MWB

Nachteile:

Sometimes we are to deep in Details. There are so many different browser and cockpit that it isn't allways easy to use the best fitting one for a specific requirement

ORSOFT MWB

Vorteile:

* Good overview on orders and production * Easy to understand * Data stored in ERP System (only one System) * Flexible System to be adapted to the Need of the customer * Transparency

Nachteile:

There is not much to not like about this software. Only sometimes there might be too much information at once and one has to spend more time in evaluating the data.

The master data in SAP must have a very high quality. Otherwise it comes to deviations. That's why this is the main theme of the introduction
