BoardPro has saved so much time!

Kommentare: Very easy transition to this great tool. From the board's perspective they have loved how easy it is to use, the automatic reminders, how easy it is to get an action point and complete it.

Vorteile:

BoardPro is intuitive and does not take much effort to learn the basics. There is so much untapped potential in our subscription that I am looking forward to learning.

Nachteile:

That the agenda item wording does not auto-fill into the decision so I have to type out the resolution again or it doesn't appear on the minutes. It also makes it harder to compare the agenda version of the resolution to the final version.

BoardPro -- the ONLY affordable Board portal solution

Kommentare: Easy billing, available extras like free continuing education programs on governance, and while they have higher paid programs they do not try to upsell you. Customer support is available through text. Note that they are an Australian company, so there are some word-spelling differences ("organisation" vs "organization") and their regular business hours are not convenient to Americans, but this is a minor inconvenience and actually something I like about them.

Vorteile:

BoardPro is the most affordable of all the board portal programs. It is a bit more bare-bones than some other programs, but it fits our needs and does so for a fraction of the cost. It keeps tracks of meeting schedules, agendas, and added documents for review. Our Board members are able to access the information for the meetings, and the system sends them reminder notifications automatically. The program works well for us.

Nachteile:

It is a bit more bare-bones than other software, so aesthetically there are a few things I would change but they are insignificant. The thing that I like least is that there are a couple of programs that are available for an upcharge that I would like to be included in the basic program. The one that I would most like included at the basic rate is the add on that allows Board members to vote online.

BoardPro: One Year In and Going Strong

Kommentare: It is a lot of work to prepare meaningful board and committee meetings, BoardPro alerts our members in advance, and provide the opportunity for pre-meeting review of supporting documents. When in the board meeting they are able to access the meeting and documents on their laptops, and follow the discussion in real-time. It allows for deeper board engagement, their eyes are no longer glossing over from an abundance of paper packets and content.

Vorteile:

Ability to organize board meetings with supporting documents for each committee's report.

Nachteile:

Would like to be able to create a MASTER board meeting or committees' meeting, and then enter a recurring date range, or enter custom dates and have the software duplicate and repeat for the entire calendar year.

BoardPro best for our nonprofit org

Kommentare: Excellent product! I compared to others and by far the best one for my board management. I’m secretary of the board and it makes my life so much easier (and board members love it)

Vorteile:

The cloud capabilities to work on agendas and minutes from any device at any time. Also the ease of scheduling next meetings and connecting to each other

Nachteile:

Cloning agendas is a great feature but would be nice if I could see the status and notes of cloned items so I don’t have to open another screen to compare prior results. Also it’s frustrating I cannot switch an agenda item from discussion-type to voting-type. (It forces me to open a vote-type and copy paste the content)

Very good product but would love to see it improve

Kommentare: Overall, the experience has been positive. The ease of setup and the user-friendly nature make it a good product. However, I would like to see some enhancements, such as the ability to write and change reports attached to agendas without having to reload them.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, clean dashboard, offers of mini training sessions, ease of customer service

Nachteile:

The inability to amend Word documents, like in Sharepoint, and having to reload changed versions. This is something Harbour Software, with their DocAssembler product, offers. Also, I would like to use it more widely, but the cost of each separate committee is prohibitive for a not-for-profit.

Recommend BoardPro

Kommentare: Excellent, massive time saver. Suggestions I have made are well received by help and support.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to use and makes the admin part of board hui very easy. Love the reduction in manual formatting mahi when doing manual board packs. Also the auto reminders and reduction in emails required to follow up as it is automated.

Nachteile:

One thing that comes to mind is the inability to take minutes inside the action point section. We quite often spend a bit of time discussing actions and I have to go in and out to find a place to make those notes i.e. general business.

BoardPro is the best current offering on the market

Kommentare: Straight-forward. A far more user-friendly product than other platforms that we've used previously. The layout is cleaner and functional.

Its a very user-friendly platform, that has all the features we need.

Nachteile:

Not much to be fair, it's a very good platform. The only thing I'd like to see is 'flying minutes' be automatically populated into the Board pack to be approved as they are with the previous meeting's minutes.

BoardPro is brilliant.

Kommentare: We highly recommend BoardPro, it’s a big time saver for our organisation. I will never go back to a paper based system of board admin.

Vorteile:

It’s very user friendly and intuitive. When there are any problems, the help function and chat function are very useful and quick to respond.

Nachteile:

There is nothing I don’t like. It’s a great platform

BoardPro is a must for any board

Kommentare: At the start I questioned the cost for a NFP entity like ours but I am now sold 10 times over now.

Vorteile:

The time savings from start to finish. Setting up BoardPro is user friendly and simple. The setting of the agenda is simple. Allocating who is talking to the item is simple. Board Members can look back on previous hui's and docs at their leisure. The task allocations during the hui is amazing along with the follow up reminders. The minutes are taken during the hui which saves a lot of time. The approval of the minutes are seamless. The cost of the app plays for itself with the time savings and accuracy of the minutes.

Nachteile:

I haven't found anything that I don't like about BoardPro at this stage of our journey.

BoardPro is a great app for administering board meetings

Kommentare: Been super positive experience. The team at BoardPro are always on hand to help with training and clarify any issues.

Vorteile:

Once you get the hang of it, it's super easy to use. It saves me so much time from collating a pile of PDFs and having to create page numbers, hyperlinks etc. The Board love being able to use it in the meetings and for pre-reads and it's great for taking minutes in the meeting too. It's nicely automated with action points and it's great to have everything in one place for everyone to access, including governance docs, policies etc. Great customer service too - very prompt and good information and advice. So pleased to have it!

Nachteile:

It's not quite up to my normal standard of presentation with fonts and layout so I have to get over it looking a bit ugly! You need to remember to save the minutes (notes) as you go - they don't do it automatically.

Good choice for our bank board

Kommentare: Excellent. Our board includes people with a variety of technical expertise. They've all managed to become competent navigating within the system. I'd be very reluctant to move to a different provider.

Vorteile:

BoardPro is easy to use and more affordable than comparable products. This system has greatly simplified the distribution of monthly board packages.

Nachteile:

The only real problem we've had was convincing our auditors and examiners that a company based in New Zealand was safe. As a bank, we're under extra scrutiny but the team at BoardPro worked to help provide documentation needed.

Efficient for not for profit Boards

Kommentare: Fast and efficient. Both for my limited time as a governor and for the team managing the governance processes for the Boards I am on.

Vorteile:

Cost effectiveness. Ease of navigation. I use it on two Boards, one of which is supported online by a virtual Board Secretary and the platform enables seamless management of papers, notes, flying minutes and governance documents all in an easy find structure.

Nachteile:

Can't fault it. Although I have from time to time needed to access on my iPhone. I must download the iOS version.

A Board Members view of BoardPro

Kommentare: I am slowly getting used to using it. My secretary loves using it as it simplifies on how we edge with one another and fellow Board members.

Vorteile:

The practical use for me as a Board member to keep up to dat with fellow Board members

Nachteile:

I need more training using BoardPro. Maybe a suggestion is more tutorials.

Boardpro pros

Kommentare: Seamless transition from receiving board packs by email. Intuitive and user friendly.

Vorteile:

Ability to organise documents for separate purposes and assign access rights for each, for example: Board Papers Constitutional documentation Committee Papers

Nachteile:

Marking up documents with notes is not as easy as I would like. Highlighting option is good.

BoardPro is preety cool.

Kommentare: Overall it works very well, easy to find way around, keeps people update on position of action, couldn't run a board now with out BoardPro. Webinars and associated resources very good and useful

Vorteile:

It works very well for our board - keeps everything running smoothly. Good backup resources if needed. Prompt help when asked for.

Nachteile:

Woulds like to be able to make notes in documents that only i can see when i open board pro - not to be saved in the long term

Kommentare: Great. Very straightforward to use for our team and our Board. Plenty of efficiencies for our small team which has allowed us to focus direct our time toward growing the business

BoardPro has provided our small team countless efficiencies in our Board management. The ability to keep minutes, notes and actions recorded all in one place has saved plenty of time for our team and our Directors which would have previously been spent searching through files and email trails to compile information.

Nachteile:

I can't think of any aspect of BoardPro that would rank lower than existing/email methods of managing our Board activity. No major issues, bugs or areas for improvement immediately spring to mind

The way forward for Boards

Kommentare: Really satisfied - when I hear that some teams are still spending hours of time printing and posting Board packs, I really can't believe it. Our Boards have people of all ages and backgrounds on them who use BoardPro very effectively

It would be great if more people used it!

It Just Works!

Kommentare: Since introduced to our Directors in 2021, BoardPro has provided a very positive experience for all users, not just Directors. It just works!

Vorteile:

Ease of use, prompt support and a very nice look when you’re navigating around the screen.

Nachteile:

I can’t think of anything negative about BoardPro.

Auditor using Board Pro

Kommentare: Satisfied. Maintains a perfect log for audit purposes and showcases / ensures boards are performing controls as intended to.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, ability to have all documents stored in one place. Best is maintaining a digital log/trace that can be referred to at any convenient time.

Nachteile:

I use my login for audit purposes - to review board packs and when i have to go early on in the year I have no manually go scrolling. Would be really handy if there was an ability to personalise dashboard for the user, or perhaps add a calendar on the side with a coloured circle on meeting dates just to make it quicker to scroll through.

Ideal for automating the processes of board meeting management

Experienced user access rights issues initially, but the BoardPro team has since improved that process

Excellent platform for both end-users and administrators

Kommentare: BoardPro has greatly improved the Board Pack publishing process for me. The platform makes logical sense. The meeting follow-up tools (action items, decision register, etc.) mean that matters are not missed. I think it's a great product, and have told others about it.

Vorteile:

It is so simple to create and edit agendas without having to manually restructure all items. The minute-taking process is intuitive and the text/decision/action prompts are awesome.

Nachteile:

The inability to hyperlink a document into the Board Pack.

BoardPro - game changer

Kommentare: Game-changing. It takes me less time to put the Board Papers together and the Board can also take notes as they go through BoardPro at the meetings

I haven't had any problems with BoardPro - everything is great.
