Great experience in EDC implementation with Viedoc

Vorteile:

During the implementation of the EDC module, the Viedoc team displayed a high degree of competence, flexibility and responsiveness. We received smart advices from the programing team. The Project Manager is very custom orientated and addressed our requests and questions instantly. A great team which delivers timely and with high quality.

Nachteile:

All worked best and all our requirements were met to our satisfaction

Viedoc, the EDC of choice

Kommentare: The EDC database and associated tools are easy to learn, design and use. Viedoc as a company are easy to work with in provision of quotes, contracts, system access and support.

Vorteile:

Training database available to train my team as well as to initiate database development without cost to our clients. The training videos are excellent for introducing potential clients to Viedoc as well as supporting novice users. The EDC system presentation and workflow is user intuitive.

Nachteile:

Reference data set up is tedious and repetitive.

Study build experience

Vorteile:

It is fairly easy to work with, user friendly once you get used to the structure of it. Very helpful team during study build.

Nachteile:

It is quite complicated to review and comment on the design during the study build process. Not always easy to follow all the steps with different excel sheets and names of review steps.

Best Value for an EDC!

Kommentare: Excellent customer service/support and a great value for the product.

Vorteile:

The software is incredibly easy to use from both the designer and clinician perspectives. This makes it efficient to build, deploy, and train new sites for any study. For small medical device companies, efficiency is key.

Nachteile:

There may be some advanced features that are available with larger/more expensive EDC systems. However, Viedoc has done a great job incorporating feedback for improvement. One feature that would be nice to add is expanding the customized reporting tools. Currently, any report is possible with some R coding, but it would be great to bring that into the low-code nature of the rest of the platform.

Kommentare: So great. Innovation. Modern Interface. Easy to program/code. Flexible. And priced right. PLUS, their team is so flexible with pricing and timing.....that is huge for us and our clients.

Vorteile:

We have used many EDC systems and we have almost exclusively come to using Viedoc for all our clinical projects both pre market IDEs and post Market studies. The value for the cost and the modern interface were game changers for us and our clinical sites. In addition, I can't say enough about the support from the Viedoc team and the flexibility with pricing and study start up. We work with a lot of smaller clients and their studies are always getting delay or moved due to FDA/Regulatory issues/surprises and not having to be locked into paying at a set time is a huge deal. We recently had a surprise issue come up with an FDA IDE study and the company's roll out of a pilot study got pushed 6 months. The database was built set up and ready to use. However, due to this issue the company couldn't start the study until some other data was gathered. No problem with Viedoc, their team doesn't start billing until the 1st patient is in. Previously that client had used another well known company (that I would love to name) and their billing and ethical practices are so poor that this delay would have cost them real $$. However, they were delighted with Viedoc and their flexibility. In addition, we build the database ourselves and it is easy to build with modern tools and super flexible to customize. And it seems like every time we implement a new DB build, there are a ton of new features. No system is perfect but so far this exceeds our expectations and our clients too!

Nachteile:

We don't use their CTM system. I think they have done a lot of work on that piece but we have our own in house and it works for our process better. I wish there was a way to customize theirs a bit more. Just a minor comment.

Feasible EDC for Phase I and IV trials

Vorteile:

Ease of building studies in Viedoc EDC, with multiple inbuilt functionalities. Cost of conducting a trial is less than competition

Nachteile:

More stability needed for Phase II-III trials.

Amazing eCRF system

Kommentare: Using Viedoc, eCRF can be built quickly because of the flexibility of the design mode. The designer can set up forms in parallel with the definition of edit checks performed by the programmer; in addition, it is very easy to set up the eCRF by personnel with minimal programming knowledge. Thanks to e-learnings, available for all activities and detailed with pictures and videos, navigating the system is very easy as is the use of all the necessary features.

Vorteile:

- eCRF design preview very appreciated - Code debug feature in edit checks development mode- User friendly- Easy navigation- Reports function for data reviewing

Nachteile:

After the GoLive of a new version/revision of the same eCRF, sign/CR/SDV break of the forms involved in the changes may occur.

Flexible software and the Best supports

Kommentare: Viedoc has shown that EDC could be built so quickly when we have the limited time to Go-Live. With the flexibility in EDC design, the developer can build the forms whereas the programmer can set up the edit checks in parallel. The design and setup can also be viewed during developing. Viedoc are continually improving all the time to make the EDC designer’s, with minimum knowledge of programming, life easy and the system is also increasing more functionalities to cover the clinical research activities. The cross-functionality team are also able to work together in one system, in Viedoc Clinic, and the sponsor can see the study status with a glance. Furthermore, customer and technical supports are always quick and helpful.

Vorteile:

EDC designer is easy to use and flexible for the designer and programmer can work at the same time.

Nachteile:

It would cover the process if the Logistics could connect with the warehouse and trigger to the warehouse to ship the IP automatically.

Vorteile:

The Viedoc software cuts the amount spent on database build, design and programming of electronic checks in half.

Nachteile:

The programming of complex electronic checks had a bit of a learning curve and a few more examples or expanded documentation would be great.

Powerful EDC tool with simple and user friendly interface

Kommentare: So far Viedoc is serving very well. It has become a very unique and useful tool.

Vorteile:

Viedoc is doing very well in terms of customer support. It has made EDC a lot more time saving. Great tool for handling large research or clinical projects where data entry is a crucial part. Video tutorials are also available wich is very helpful.

Nachteile:

Only thing that can be added is offline usability. It would be great in case of any internet failure. Otherwise it is great.

User friendly and reliable EDC system

Vorteile:

Viedoc is very user-friendly and easy to use. As a data manager, I was able to design forms quickly, on my own, thanks to the helpful eLearning documentation and videos. The support team and the Viedoc team in general are responsive and professional. The system is constantly improving with regular updates which is not the case with all systems.

Nachteile:

Managing the roles and rights associated with a specific design is difficult. We often need to add roles or change specific rights during the course of a study and creating a new version of the design (with the impact on data management that this entails) is restrictive. Importing a list of users based on an excel template could be a time saver for user creation.

EDC review

Kommentare: My overall experience with Viedoc is very good. Easy to work with.

Vorteile:

Viedoc is easy to work with. We train sites in the use of the software and it is very easy to train trial staff. The software gives very good overview of schedule of events.

Nachteile:

eTMF is not very userfriendly. Very difficult to find the correct artifact. Difficult to get an overview of what documents still missing in the database.

New functionality

Kommentare: We love Viedoc, it is stable, up and running continually. I have almost 7 years experience and know most functions, but still learning, so it is vast.

Vorteile:

Fast in developing new functionality. Easy to use, open for built in java scripts to run it in a more advanced way. Easy to get support for all kinds of question. Professional and friendly staff.

Nachteile:

Small errors, can somtimes take time to get smaller changes done. API integration needs more work and is interesting. Maybe more in reports could be customized or maybe there should be a place where you could share R script for use in reports and outside Viedoc for reporting. We may migrate to using R for listing and reporting too instead of SAS.

Viedoc review

Vorteile:

Designing an electronic CRF and possibility to reuse an existing design are very easy. Data export is very simple and a lot of simple automatic edit checks can be programmed directly in the eCRF.

Nachteile:

The Query management module is not usefull at all. Impossible to select a query from the research field with key words, impossible to navigate between several forms when an edit check is related to more than one form. The time entered as greater than 23:59 are automatically replaced by the system instead of flagged as erroneous. Reports configuration in Viedoc are very limited if we don't know R programmation langage.

Kommentare: Proper study management with Admin and Designer Roles. Exploring different scopes like Randomization, Data Mapping, etc within the EDC.

Vorteile:

Viedoc EDC provides a platform for proper design and orientation of data...It impacts the way data is presented and is very user-friendly. It has Randomization, Data Mapping etc. like features within the EDC that makes it perfect for all the studies that has different types of scopes to cover.

Nachteile:

The time for which it takes to load the data.eg: when publishing big studies with more than 2000 checks.

User friendly EDC - Viedoc

Vorteile:

Easy navigation, User friendly. Easy to learn.Designing of CRF and its preview is very useful. Types of field control types, designing of schedule makes it best. Code debug available in edit checks development.elearnings available for all activities and are understandable.

Nachteile:

Need more features for custom reports. Repeating fields can be included.

Viedoc 4 -Features and scope of improvement

Vorteile:

Easy to design checks. Medical validator role is beneficial to check and approve codes immediately.

Nachteile:

SDV status of each form could be integrated in the same form and not in a separate from with all other forms. AE-CM linking feature is missing which could be added.

Easy migration, colorful UI and friendly user. Basically its more comfortable to use.

I feel when huge forms are present in particular design and to assign that at particular site it will take some delay.

Developing in Viedoc

Kommentare: As a developer, creating new forms / schedule is intresting.Also, Import options helps reduces the time consumption in handling reuse studies.

Vorteile:

1. User Interface2. Programming edit checks was easy with Java Script help enabled3. Rearranging forms, fields4. ODM Import /Export helped a lot in Re-Use

Nachteile:

1. There is no pop-up or information message when a field, form or the schedule in use is being modified.It would be great if that feature is upgraded in Viedoc that will prevent modification of data fields in Use.2. To push the design to site we need to log in admin even for the sites accessible - can try enhancing this with possible workarounds

Easy to use for sites and very flexible for designers

Kommentare: Clients are happy with Viedoc capabilities and sites find it user friendly, so it is a good solution for clinial trials with drugs and with medical devices, IVD.

Vorteile:

Excellent cost/quality rate, is easy to use for sites and designers can customize the forms to match all study requirements.

Nachteile:

I would really appreciate to have CTMS within the same platform.

Growing EDC

Vorteile:

EDC software which is Ease to use. Interesting UI for clinic users.

Nachteile:

Bugs at times intervene the development of eCRFs and workflow.

Viedoc is very intuitived to use and extremely user-friendly, even though you can find help easily on the eLearning or with the Support team.
