Vorteile:

Easy drag-drop and play! We use this from time to time to make informational content, video installation, and drip marketing materials for customers. Hundreds of templates to choose from, applicable to almost every platform we use.

Nachteile:

Can be time-consuming if you don't have edited material to upload into this software, blocking out sound adding audio, etc.

Create with confidence with Animoto

Kommentare: Everyone should try it and experiment with friends, family, co-workers...

Vorteile:

It is so much fun to create using Animoto. My staff and I are always experimenting with different messaging and find it's so easy to use and allow others the opportunity to create with confidence.

Nachteile:

Editing music and timing is a challenge. Also accessing the workspace to review the other projects is not as easy to find.

Terrible experience

Kommentare: I tried to use Animoto to create a memorial service video. The experience was terrible, hard to navigate, and I couldn't produce anything useable, so quickly I asked for a refund and was denied, only told what I paid $180 could be applied to a future year.

Scam: They take your money and no refund or cancellation, only apply what you've paid to a future year - will never use again!

Branding Made Easy!

Kommentare: It enables users to upgrade their branding with ease. Almost anyone can create contents with it. I loved the user friendly interface. Ideal for small businesses. One of the best options available. A powerful tool but it certainly needs to add more features.

Vorteile:

It is very user friendly. Almost anyone can create amazing video content with it. The large template library makes it even easier for users. Creating videos takes a very little time and adding effects, transitions and text overlay is relatively very simple.

Nachteile:

The templates can sometimes be very restrictive. If a user has a proper idea about how the video should be then it is not for him.

Animoto for Education

Kommentare: Animoto has allowed me to present material/lessons in a more engaging way, that is also fun for students (& myself) to create.

Vorteile:

I love Animoto’s ease of use, along with the amazing quality final product. It looks professionally made, even when they’re created by 4th graders.

Nachteile:

I love that there are templates to use, but I find them sometimes restricting. I also wish we could control the amount of time in each slide.

Very Basic Video Editing/Animation

Kommentare: If I had known how dated the templates would look at the lack of functionality and customization, I wouldn't have bothered testing it out.

Vorteile:

Animoto provides an easy to use platform to upload your videos and edit them together using various templates they have. The platform is very user-friendly and they have a decent amount of templates and animations to choose from.

Nachteile:

The overall app seems a bit expensive for what you get. The templates themselves appear very dated and there isn't a ton of flexibility with the templates. You kind of get what you see. I wasn't very impressed when comparing this to other tools like Promo.com

Take care with the auto-renewal!

Kommentare: The option to turn off auto-renewal is hidden away. You may struggle to get a refund after the auto renewal has gone through. So be careful.

Vorteile:

It works for what it is designed for. I used it a couple of times in 12 months to put together slideshow previews of photoshoots for clients. You can add music and it's not difficult to use. They have lots of YouTube videos on how to use it.

Nachteile:

The option to turn off auto-renewal is hidden away. Initially, they refused to give a refund after my auto-renewal had gone through. However, I wrote another polite email pointing out that the option to turn this off was not easy to find. They gave me 50% of my new one year subscription back. Not great, but better than nothing and lesson learned about auto-renewals. Interestingly, there is a Government review going on in the UK about subscription auto-renewals and it will (hopefully!) result in companies having to give you notice before a subscription auto-renews

Difficult program

Kommentare: Did not find the program as easy to use as others. Cost is way too high especially when they require a full year's payment up front to use. Poor customer service

Vorteile:

Very little. Would not recommend this product over the many others out there. No way to do a free trial without having their watermark all over your project.

Nachteile:

Forced to pay a yearly subscription. Difficult to use. No tutorials. No refund or partial charge when dissatisfied with service. Poor customer service. Would not respond back after I confronted them over fees.

Unauthorized Transaction

Kommentare: BAD BUSINESS they need to be SHUT DOWN and REFUND people back

Vorteile:

Great templates to use for slide shows. But to be honest the PRICE is way to HIGH.

Nachteile:

I had an Unauthorized Transaction of $180 and I had a dispute on PayPal and Animoto decides to not give me my MONEY BACK and Suspends my Animoto account so I don't have access to anything I tried reaching out and no RESPONSE.

Perfect videos

Vorteile:

Animoto is easy to use and can be successfully integrated into various school and extracurricular activities.

Nachteile:

Animoto does not present aspects that make its use difficult.

Don't purchase Animoto. Do your research before subscribing to their yearly subscription.

Vorteile:

The templates are nice but mind you they are not customizable. Ok music library - just OK.

Nachteile:

- Only a few templates - Slides or page templates have only a few options - Good luck with placing your LOGO - You CAN adjust the colours or fonts but you CAN'T customize or even change the elements - No elements unless you pay another $$ (the free ones are useless) - Outdated music library - Outdated transitions and elements

Makes videos easy

Kommentare: I have been using Animoto for 6 years and find is easy to use and fun! You can make professional video ad in minutes. The music is fantastic.

It is easy to use to produce professional style videos instead of paying a pro.

Cost is a bit high compared to other apps.

Vorteile:

Extremely user friendly software with reasonable pricing. Animoto is highly accessible and would be a great video development tool for people with limited video/design experience, or people with limited time. My team uses Animoto to create product/campaign launch videos for clients, as well as promotional videos for our own services. If you have a handful of images or video clips ready to go, you can create a short compelling video in as little as twenty minutes!

Nachteile:

Customization of video templates is pretty limited (in terms of style, speed, layout, amount of content per slide, fonts, etc.). Templates are still great considering the ease of use and low cost. Sometimes it's challenging to fit a full thought onto a slide due to the limited number of characters Animoto allows in a line of text... but that's probably a good thing to keep videos from becoming text-heavy.

Provides very polished videos with little effort.

Kommentare: I use this software to promote the schools and school programs in our school district.

Vorteile:

The quality of the videos are incredible. Everything is drag and drop, so adding videos and photos to a project is easy. There are music tracks to choose from, and you can also upload your own. Captions and titles can be easily added. There are quite a few templates to choose from, and I am usually able to find one that matches the theme and mood of the video I'd like to create.

Nachteile:

I pay for the personal plan so I can download my videos in 720p. It is disappointing sometimes to see the templates that are not available to me because I am using a lower price paid plan. The animoto logo is still attached to the end of every video, even though I am a paid user. Usually that is reserved for the free plans, so it's very clear that animoto sees their personal plan is the no frills plan.

Quick and Easy Videos in a Flash!

Kommentare: Animoto has been a great resource for making quick videos to help you get more engagement on social media posts, web traffic and much more. I am thankful for the ease of use for Animoto and look forward to using it in the future!

The ability to compile videos with premade templates allows making videos to be a breeze. Have a video you make often? Copy the template and update the photos. A wide variety of music and sharing options are available as well.

Nachteile:

There's minimal flexibility when it comes to scaling photos, but you can use many different sized templates to fit your needs.

Animated slideshows that feel like music videos

Vorteile:

I first saw an Animoto at a friend's wedding over 10 years ago. It was pretty amazing. I turned into a fan and made a few 30 second trailers out of photos for friends of mine who ran small businesses locally. It was easy to make and the templates and music choices were pretty awesome.

Nachteile:

I didn't like that the free version came out so grainy and lo-resolution, but I get it. How else are you going to pay for a product like Animoto? Premium subscriptions!

Animoto Review

Animoto is an EASY to use video maker software. Anyone can use it right out of the box to make great sliding presentations or other types of videos.

Nachteile:

Subscription based, and without paying you will have the watermark from them in your videos. Would be great if they lowered the cost as there are other options out there as well, and some have a set price.

Best Photo to Video App on the Planet!

Vorteile:

I loved the simplicity in uploading my photos, adding my own royalty free music to the final video. Its always exciting to see what the end result turns to out. The icing is watching my clients see their video for the first time. Priceless!!

Nachteile:

Absolutely perfect product! I would not change anything about it.

Target demographic has changed from creative individual to corporate

Kommentare: I have been using Animoto for ~10 years and would use it to make Christmas cards mostly, but have done so for my kids' births, the occasional business announcement, and a few other odds and ends. The creativeness of the software made these productions unparalleled and they had several themes to choose from when creating your content. However, this season (2021) I immediately noticed that the themes to select are all very corporate and polished in nature, lack the previous aesthetics that made the software unique, lack diversity of templates, and just plain feels like a boring and cold tool. I hate to say it, but if they don't go back to their old style, I doubt I will continue using this service.

Animoto used to be a fantastic tool for individuals who wanted to bring to life events in a slide reel to share with family or friends.

Nachteile:

It has changed and become a corporate tool

Great, easy to use slideshow software

Kommentare: Overall, my experience with Animoto has been positive and has enabled me to present my clients with high quality slideshows of their photo sessions to view on their computer, television and other electronic devices.

Vorteile:

I loved how easy Animoto was to use and I really enjoyed their music selection. They offered music for just about any occasion to go with the slideshows that you make.

Nachteile:

There really isn't anything that I didn't like about using Animoto. If anything, I wish the price was a little lower, but if you use it a lot, it's a great value for the money.

Easy Professional Looking Videos

Vorteile:

It is hard to mess up. Drag and drop and you can have a nice-looking video published in well under an hour. The copyright-free music is already there, nice options for styles. The addition of Getty images and video is very nice.

Nachteile:

It is not super customizable. The text has to go in one of the predetermined places. That's great for continuity throughout the video, but sometimes you might want the text to move just a smidge so it doesn't cover something. It would also be nice to bulk edit the different frames. And processing the video before you can preview it sometimes feels tedious - but that's not enough of a reason to not use the software.

A good video solution for businesses

The amount of flexibility and cusomtisation Animoto offers make it a very good service to adapt to your video needs.

Nachteile:

I feel the pricing is slightly wrong for the service. The first package only allows 720p exports and I do feel that 1080p is just a standard that should be included across the board these days. With that being said each tier does offer more and more content options.

Animoto Is An Easy-To-Use Platform For Video Creation

Kommentare: Animoto is great, basic video platform that anyone can learn how to use but does not provide the depth that other video platforms offer.

Vorteile:

We used Animoto to create basic videos for marketing campaigns. It's easy to use and include a number of live stock videos to use which makes for a great visual presentation.

Nachteile:

There isn't much complexity with the product. Once the stock videos have been used, it seems that the well runs dry so to speak.

So close to perfect

Kommentare: I loved this software when I used it and it helped me in a lot of sales. I couldn’t continue to use it when the cost was so much more than the many others that came on the market and became readily available for a lot less.

Vorteile:

The creators of Animoto clearly knew what photographers were looking for in a slideshow software. The mobile app and ease of use on the go was convenient and applicable to most photographers making general sales.

Nachteile:

It seems this software was just shy of one major important feature in every aspect. It never seemed to be available when needed either. The cost was a little high as well.
