Great application with Excellent Support

Just began exploring this app. From what I've seen it is very simple and has nice shortcuts incorporated into transactions while complying with Trust Accounting rules. Their Support is excellent and documentation is abundant. Highly recommend it. Comment Yes, I recommend this product.

Didn't find any negative issues. So far working as explained.
Know Your Business
Kommentare: Understanding who is producing, where they are producing, and who is responsible for clients all come together with QuickBooks and the bottom line.
Vorteile:
It works great with QuickBooks and it tells us how we are doing for out monthly billing.
Nachteile:
I am not a fan of the app on my phone. it needs to be easier to enter time. There seems to be a limit on the amount of text.
Integration with Quickbooks Nightmare
Kommentare: I have had no luck with customer service being on point or helpful. I would only suggest this to a company that likes QB and doesn't want integration with other programs.
Vorteile:
Ease of navigation. it has some features that are helpful and would be beneficial to someone who likes QB.
Nachteile:
It doesn't work well with quickbooks there are features that require work arounds to do this. As a result we are working through switching. We would keep the software maybe but the inability to work with other accounting software makes it impossible.

As a founder of LeanLaw, I regret and take personally LeanLaw not working for a client. I have personally worked with your firm, and it a bummer to see you folks leave. I hope you know we are vigilant with our customer support, know we will be investigating your poor experiences and ensuring they are not replicated. As a company, has worked diligently on our QuickBooks integration and it would be no easy task replicating that level of integration with another accounting partner. This is why Intuit has recognized LeanLaw as a premier app in their marketplace.
Perfect for a Small Firm using Quickbooks
Kommentare: We previously had more expensive softwares and were using so few of the features because of the size of our firm.
Vorteile:
I like the synchronization with Quickbooks. I also like that it is easy to apply different tax rates for different jurisdictions while time track and billing.
Nachteile:
There is no ability to schedule appointments within the software. This is a feature I am very hopeful they will develop given that they already have a calendar view within Leanlaw.

The software does everything I need and meshes well with Quickbooks. Most of all, the customer service is really great!
Nachteile:
Maybe an icon on my desktop would be nice. But honestly, you might already be able to do this but I haven't taken the time to figure that out.

This software has two-way integration with Quickbooks. Time entry is easy. Desktop and smartphone timekeepers are very handy (when I remember to use them). Simple to open new matters or add new clients. These then populate automatically to Quickbooks. I moved from PCLaw (then a different web-based program) and looked, at all the major and minor players. This works great for me.
Nachteile:
Quickbooks billing setup is a bit clunky. But that's as much a QB problem as LL. Not a full-blown practice manager, but I knew that going in. As a result, need to keep info in both Outlook and LL/QB. Not a huge deal since my contact list is huge and my client list is infinitesimally smaller.
My go to app for working with Law firms and QuickBooks Online
Kommentare: All of the law firms I work with use LeanLaw. We are even converting clients from desktop PC law to LeanLaw/QuickBooks Online. We are conversion specialists in moving law firm clients to the cloud.
Vorteile:
It's ease of use. From the attorney's perspective, it is very intuitive. Produces high-quality invoices. From the Accountant's perspective, it works seamlessly with QuickBooks Online. I love the two-way sync and the billable expenses feature.
Nachteile:
Nothing, the even have high-level customer service. Great app!
Simple to Use and Relatively Inexpensive
Vorteile:
We switched over to LeanLaw after using CaseFox (which is low priced, but glitches often). We found LeanLaw to be easy to learn, onbaord, and incorporate into our daily practice.
Nachteile:
I have heard LeanLaw does not have all the bells and whistles that some of the other legal softwares have. That did not dissuade us because we were actually looking for something simple.
Leanlaw works great for me
Kommentare: LeanLaw and Quickbooks Online allow me to handle all my billing, receivables, and accounting in a straightforward, understandable way. I am a sole practitioner and it saves me a lot of time with these tasks. Plus, the customer support is quick and responsive on those occasions when I need it!

This software is easy to use, and user intuitive. I'm just a regular user so I don't run reports, or create new files - so my use is confined to just billing clients and it couldn't be easier.
Nachteile:
Occasionally there are glitches where I find my input time on a different date than I entered, however, that was easily fixed by the LeanLaw team.

Very user friendly and helpful
Kommentare: I was one of the first users and have seen how the company is dedicated to improving the product as it learns more. They are always available to troubleshoot and help me. It has helped me manage my solo practice.
Vorteile:
I like the timekeeping and how the invoicing links directly to Quickbook.
Nachteile:
It used to link directly with Gmail and Google Drive and that isn't supported anymore. I wish it was.

Kommentare: LeanLaw achieves its goal in providing an efficient way to keep time and bill clients. Good, relevant reporting also helps the lawyer who uses LeanLaw not only work in the business of practicing law, but also work *on* the business itself.
Vorteile:
The user interface is very clean and intuitive in LeanLaw. Timekeeping down to 1/10 of an hour is a great feature, and the desktop app makes it very easy to do log time for various matters. LeanLaw's integration with Quickbooks is huge, as our firm never has to draft an invoice. The reporting features of LeanLaw are good, and continue to get better. It is very easy to see revenue by attorney, revenue by client matter, productivity, and accounts receivable. There is even a report to help gauge fixed-fee profitability margins.
Nachteile:
There isn't much not to like about LeanLaw when you understand what it is for. It's lean timekeeping and billing software for the lean law firm. It will never include client portals, document storage/sharing, or other such features.
Wish I had started using it years ago
Kommentare: My overall experience has been great. It has significantly reduced the time it takes to run billing each month and the timekeeping feature is very easy to use. I'm told the customer service is excellent.

I don't know that we got the full customer service experience with onboarding. There were issues with our first billing cycle using LeanLaw that could have been avoided with better assistance.
Lean Law Saves Time and Money for Sole Practitioner
Kommentare: The software is easy to use, intuitive, and saves me time and money. Moving to the cloud has been the best decision I have ever made and Lean Law allowed me to do so. I highly recommend Lean Law to any firm looking for improved efficiency in timekeeping, billing and productivity. They have very responsive customer service should the need arise.

It is easy to use, integrates with Quickbooks for billing, allows me to access my timekeeping software from anywhere and has saved me time and money since I began using it. It is easy to use and very intuitive.
Nachteile:
The online version of Quickbooks is more difficult to use than the computerized version.

How it integrates with Quickbooks online and allows me to more easily deposit into trust and make payments from trust on invoices.
Nachteile:
If I forget to switch back from use undeposited funds account it will unevenly pay from trust and the liability account without warning.

I wish there were check marked boxes next to time entries so one could select or deselect the entries that are wanted to export to excel spreadsheet.

Easy to use, intuitive, top notch support for the occasional issue, which has been rare. Integration with QuickBooks is pretty well seamless, makes time keeping and billing very easy.
Nachteile:
Nothing . Have been using since April 2019 without issue.

Great startup software for organization
Kommentare: So far I have no clients utilizing LeanLaw, though I enjoy playing around with it and working through some ideas.
Vorteile:
I like the intuitive interfaces and clear direction. Some lawyers are not particularly in tune with technology, so these simple interfaces and directions help keep frustrations low.
Nachteile:
The reporting interface is quite smashed together and leaves much to be desired. The interface limits itself across the tabs rather than allowing differences between the tabs more.
