Great software for any home inspection business

Kommentare: 9 out of 10. I prefer Spectora over many other software companies. The fee is a little more than others but you get what you pay for.

Vorteile:

The simplicity of the templates and the end product for my clients is top notch. I like the payment processing and contract delivery.

Nachteile:

Photo editing and the ability to easily navigate the financials of what payments are unpaid by clients vs what payments are paid or even processing.

Vorteile:

Everything about Spectora is AMAZING!! Spectora software has helped me grow my business!! Customer Service is absolutely AWESOME!!! Every issue I have ever had was usually my own doing, but the chat bubble and every Spectora customer service person I chatted with helped me solve every issue I have ever had!! Always recommend Spectora to everyone I know who is starting their own home Inspection business!!! Or even established home inspection companies I recommend spectora to. They see my report examples and are blown away!!

Nachteile:

not really a CON, I know its in the works, but the pay at closing option I am really looking forward to!!!

Kommentare: Was so hopeful and excited and after countless issues in combination with hallow apologies and an overall lack of any accountability on their end I have come to loathe the name Spectora. Literally hearing or seeing the name or logo raises my blood pressure. When I think of how much money I spent vs the problems I have had and the lack of any kind of solution or even effort or attempt to fix the problem or provide a work around amazes me I haven't left. I won't be surprised at all if I find out this was all a game to get a decent valuation and the two [sensitive content hidden]dump the company to make a pile of cash and leave all of us that put up with their garbage with the hope of something better to wait for whomever buys it to fix the pile they leave them with. If it can be done. The only things that makes sense the more I think about it. Just wait and see. They will try and go public soon.

Vorteile:

The only thing I like about spectora is the way the summary looks and the repair request builder.

Nachteile:

The least helpful thing about spectora is the support. Regardless of what platform you are on, regular or their advanced business platforms, there is zero phone support. The best I could get when joining advanced after writing into chat for help and going over my advanced account to ensure I have set it up in the best possible way and to see if I could do anything better was a link to schedule out a call 3 - 4 days later. I had that day off and the time to do it right than. I had inspections to conduct over the next few days, not to mention I'm paying them hundreds a month to be the backbone of my inspection company, handle the scheduling, follow up, payments, reporting ect, and the best I can do is chat with someone? Are you kidding me? There is abosolutely zero flexibility in the platform. For example, I have a license and a friend thats an inspector I'm helping start up has a license in his account. I was going to have him come with me on a few inspections while he got his feet wet and to get his confidence up, and maybe in the future when we were doing 10k sq ft houses and over utilize him as a second. Despite him paying $99 already for his license, I needed to pay another $89 on my account plus what we both already paid so he could join me on a few inspections a year. As I have mentioned I have had countless things that have gone wrong, the reporting system that has been stuck in the sandbox for the past year plus we were told was going to be made permanent

Kommentare: I love Spectora, and all my clients do as well. I get so many compliments on the professional report that we generate and its ease of reading and understanding the information provided to the client.

Vorteile:

I enjoy the ease of use in following the templates that we custom organized to follow our work flow. I am an advanced user and these functions save me so much time in scheduling and coordinating everything that has to happen before, during and after the inspection.

Nachteile:

The hiccups with Next Gen, that I suffered through on some of its first uses and was not happy. I have been very reluctant to try it again. I know I will, but afraid of having a problem in the middle of the inspection. I have read that a lot of folks are using it now and love it so I will be trying it again.

Vorteile:

The most important thing as a home inspector is to individualize your report writing to make it fit your style. Spectora offers support, access, and individual tweaking in areas that make our company stand out beyond other inspectors.

Nachteile:

The app restarts when I start an inspection and sometimes it doesn't accept payment the first time. When I want to change something on the Wind mitigation form I have to pull it up to look at it first then find where it is on the software. Also adding things on these forms (AKA Wind and 4 point) is hard if not impossible to do.
