Vorteile:

The software is free, does everything we need it to do. Looks professional, allows for reporting for management. Is a real win IT wise. We switched from a few Asset management systems that were free. This one blows them out of the water. I manage the MSP operations for my company. This allows me to manage multiple sites uniquely. put notes on equipment for maintenance, check in / out equipment to individual users or locations. You can even break down the locations by rooms / area's or floors or in theory the desk that the equipment sits at. will help calculate depreciation of equipment, for tax purposes at the end of the year.

Nachteile:

It's good. My only concern is when something is free your the product. I'm curious to know what they are skimming off of the database to sell our information. Yes i feel obligated to buy their labels for my assets, whcih isn't required. I just do it because I WANT to pay them back for this great service. Still the skeptic in me is still waiting for the gotcha.

Amazing tool for fixed asset management

Kommentare: Easy asset tracking software, suitable for everyone, at a reasonable price. It has many important features that save effort and time.

Vorteile:

An easy and fast platform for managing fixed assets, suitable for individuals and companies of different sizes. It is available at an affordable price and provides a free trial and a free version. This program facilitates the issuance of reports and management of records.

Nachteile:

Customer service response should be faster, sometimes some errors occur in the e-mail work. There is difficulty in integrating it with other programs.

Its cheaper compared to competition but not upto the standard

Kommentare: Not good. i'll rate them 2 out of 5 as a user and as an admin.

Vorteile:

Cost is low compared to competition. The entire software is not intuitive or user friendly and I was under the improession it was.

Nachteile:

Customer support is very bad. No phone numbers or chats, just an email. There is no clarity on how to use the software and what its capable of. Nobody shows us demo or gives training. We had to figure it out ourself. The paid plans are very confusing, instead of 1 year subscription, they have some "points" that get debited. God knows how that thing works. So again, no clarity for customers here.

Simple to use asset tracking

Kommentare: AssetTiger has achieved our objective of tracking assets in a simple and intuitive manner. It's an invaluable tool to our organization. If you are currently struggling with tracking your assets, this is a great option.

Vorteile:

AssetTiger is relatively easy to use. You can add all of your assets and check them out to employees, and you can add different kinds of information relating to the asset such as brand, status, location, category, department, etc.. The mobile app is great as well and has an intuitive UI, and it lets you scan assets by the barcode(s) which makes logging assets much faster.

Nachteile:

There aren't a lot of integrations with this software. It would be nice to have the option to connect it to Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, or other directory services / device management platforms. It may be too simple for your needs.

AssetTiger - powerful asset management tool at a very attractive price.

Kommentare: It's simple to use, the interface is well thought out, and you can use the iOS app as a scanner to AssetTiger make this software hard to beat. Highly recommended.

Vorteile:

AssetTiger is very simple to set up and begin using right away. Keeping track of your assets is invaluable and AssetTiger makes it effortless. Features such as cloning assets in order to inventory large quantities of the same asset is fantastic. Asset pictures are also a useful tool. We use a wireless scanner with AssetTiger which makes it more powerful. I love the ability to email the person who is checking out an asset with details about the asset.

Nachteile:

There are not any major cons for this software based on price to value. If anything, the ability to customize the fields more would take this software to another level, but most of what is needed is already part the default fields.

A solid asset management tool at bargain pricing

Kommentare: A year with AssetTiger was included for free with our asset tag purchase from MyAssetTag.com, so we decided to try the software out. I did not have high expectations given it was included for free. I was pleasantly surprised to bring the software was a good balance between functionality and ease of use. It's highly customizable, had good import/export capabilities. It's given us a much better handle on our asset inventory and lifecycle.

Vorteile:

The price is very reasonable. The system is easy to use and requires minimal time to train new IT staff once set-up. The system is easy to use, with barcode scanning capabilities, customizable table values so "odd" locations information can be tracked as well. Can add additional custom fields to each asset to track custom information where needed.

Nachteile:

The software signs you out when you log into a other session. This is mostly painful when switching between the desktop and the mobile platform.

Asset Management

Kommentare: This software has enabled us to keep a track of all assets and its associated costs. even with maintenance, cost is getting added and deprecated as configured. this makes reporting of IT assets and its costing more easy when compared to previous software used.

Vorteile:

The most easy part was implementation whereby we can upload asset details via a excel template irrespective of number of assets you have. if you already using different software and needs migration, get all details to excel and upload with template provided. cost analysis and reports are to name a few very good features in this software.

Nachteile:

The status attribute should have been more simple.

This is great for inventory and asset management!

Kommentare: We have been able to inventory nearly everything we need to keep track of including keys. We have 5 office locations so this has been wonderful. We also check out a lot of devices to staff and Asset Tiger has made that process a breeze.

Vorteile:

The software is super easy to set up and configure. You can use it farily easily right out of the gate.

Nachteile:

This might be a feature that exists, but we have not figured out yet. We are not able to look for items by scanning their asset tags. We have to type the number in each time. We can only add assets by scanning the asset tags.

Large Scale Deployment

Kommentare: I would recommend this system even with the few features it's missing.

Vorteile:

Our organization is national, and we have users in multiple states. Each has their own account/custom views, and we can easily see/manage assets in all our locations. We love the ability to see a piece of equipment is available and request it from each other (creating a paper trail). It's even nice to see the total value of our assets/depreciation of our entire organization. While we are just a branch, we are suggesting this system to our parent organization for their use.

Nachteile:

Inventory. While it is still new, it is limited. As of this review, while adding or editing, you cannot put the "Location" or "Sub-Location" of the inventory item, then search for it. I tried custom fields, but they would not work or show up on the information. And it cannot be shared across our multiple sites. In addition, this feature has a bug when changing the InventoryID, it will not allow you to change it then go back without having to manually change each one. Assets. I don't like that if you need to make a bulk change, you cannot do this with a picture. You have to manually change it for each asset. I had over 100 to do by hand. From their tech support, there is no way to search your list to see if you are missing assetIDs. We have thousands and just to see if we are missing assetID [sensitive content hidden] would be a nice feature. You have to export your list, then open excel and run formulas to search for missing assetID's. Sharing Assets. It would be a nice feature to integrate UPS, Fedex or USPS to where you can "Checkout" this device and either place the tracking number for it, or even purchase. Might be out of reach but just a thought.

Great solution at a reasonnable cost

Vorteile:

So simple to use! Complete and intuitive. Work great fort us.

Nachteile:

The application interface should be made available in the other most commonly language speak in North America (French and Spanish)

Just Great

Vorteile:

We use asset tiger as a warehouse management system. It's not really optimised for the purpose but works good enough for us.

Nachteile:

That it could easily become a full fledge WMS

One of the best decisions we made

Kommentare: After the headache of the initial entries of existing fleet and equipment (if you take the time to dig up the necessary information), it is a breeze to maintain as long as you keep up! Our accountant and insurance agency love that we use this

Vorteile:

The ease of set up and use, reporting and entry (scanning a coded tag is so easy!!)

Nachteile:

Honestly, there's nothing not to like once you get used to it.

Asset Tiger Review (user of 1.5 years)

Kommentare: Asset Tiger is a good software and the price is unbeatable at this time. Besides the mobile app, this software is everything that we would need for asset management. The mobile capability is the only thing lacking.

Vorteile:

The ability to check out assets to people and places is one of the major pros for this software. Keeping track of that and the value of the items makes it easier to see how much we are spending and makes it easy to compile a list of stolen/broken items in case of filing an insurance claim.

Nachteile:

My biggest gripe lies with the mobile app. It doesn't feel very polished and having to sign in every time I have to use it makes it less efficient to use. I have opted for taking photos of assets along with their tags and then taking those photos and using the website to track assets as this is the best method of doing so at this time.

PRIME Review

Vorteile:

Everything that we use it for it works perfect. With 10 different offices all in different states it makes it very easy to track, maintenance, and manage our assets. It has been a great tool for our entire company i could not imagine life with out it.

Nachteile:

Only con i have is when creating maintenances it did away with my auto fill, my employee still is able to auto fill maintenance names but i cannot. We use the same naming convention for must maintenances so having auto fill makes it a lot easier and quicker to add maintenances.

Great Asset Managment software which suits our needs

Kommentare: This has helped me manage our assets across our various campuses and departments effectively. The ease of use and numerous functions and personalized options helped me customize the product which work well for our company

Vorteile:

As an Operations Manager for a group of schools and colleges, the software was easy to deploy across the campuses and it was extremely easy to train our staff on its use. I really appreciate the ability to compartmentalize functions and permissions within the package as well as track the history of a particular asset.

Nachteile:

There was no notification to users when the vehicle reservation form was updated and feedback/help was delayed. This resulted in us not being able to reserve vehicles for a while. The mobile app is not as user friendly as the web based platform, so I prefer using the latter.

A no brainer if you purchase asset tags - still worth it if you don't

Kommentare: We used to use an in-house inventory system that worked but was cumbersome. After trying AssetTiger, there was no going back. We quickly and easily imported all our assets, customized the database to add fields we needed and haven't regretted it since. Certainly worth considering and an automatic if you purchase asset tags anyhow.

Vorteile:

Very powerful and flexible. The ability to add your own records to the database and create user access to certain assets based off fields is great. The "check out" feature is great in keeping track of who has an asset, when it should be returned and even notifies them. We use this for the entire District and currently have nearly 21000 records. Reporting is easy to customize. The cost is very reasonable and, if you purchase asset tags through them you get credits towards Asset Tiger. With the number of tags we've purchased in the last couple of years, we have yet to pay for Asset Tiger. Customer service is very respective to suggestions and quick to respond.

Nachteile:

Search doesn't seem to allow wild cards which can be an issue if you type something incorrectly. For example, if searching for a description of "Chromebook" and you have an asset spelled "ChromeLook", searching for Chrome* would show the desired results. Also doesn't seem to handle Boolean expressions so you can search for Account A AND Account B. You have to do two separate searches.

STA AssetTiger School Review

Kommentare: Overall, we (including my students) like AssetTiger as a simple way to digitally track which equipment is with students and adults.

Vorteile:

We primarily use it as a student and faculty check-in/out at a student-lead help desk. It is easy to incorporate and teach students to use while still limiting access to certain equipment.

Nachteile:

Reporting needs more freedom, ability to create custom reports with SQL style, or equivalent, options.

AssetTiger review for a small charter school

Kommentare: We have a much better idea of what devices we have and what devices we might need in the future. The ability to use a mobile device to do inventory, has saved days every year.
One concern we have is that we starting using AssetTiger for free and we will have to begin paying. Your ads online are a bit deceiving. We are concerned about having enough money to pay for this.

Vorteile:

The ease of use, being able to scan barcodes and input a bit about the device to start. The ease of completing a school wide inventory. Prior to using asset tiger we just used spreadsheets and it took forever to complete an inventory.

Nachteile:

One of the aspects of the product that could be easier to use, is when I send a device out for maintenance. It is difficult to find the correct location to set this up.

Great Inventory Management Software

Kommentare: Great experience. We were able to easily upload our current inventory using the templates. This made it easy to transition from our old software to AssetTiger. Love the product and ease of use.

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use. The mobile app makes it easy to track inventory and check in / out equipment. Also love the mobile app for doing audits.

Nachteile:

When you delete a piece of inventory there is no way to track what has been deleted and by whom. It would be beneficial to have some audit trail to show this. In my opinion this is the single most biggest problem with AssetTiger.

Long time user

AssetTiger is an adequate solution

Kommentare: It's almost a joy to use. It has the general structure and design that I expect of a good asset management (which I hadn't yet seen in other asset management systems).

Vorteile:

I've been doing asset management off and on for 20 years, and AssetTiger is more robust than every other asset management system that I've used so far.

Nachteile:

• Table views don't allow display of all records on a single page (which would make my AssetTiger usage much easier). • The Sites, Persons/Employees and Customers table views have glitches which I've reported but haven't yet been resolved.

Asset Tiger has drastically improved the way we work

Kommentare: This software has improved the way we work. It started off with <200 assets just for my team of 4 and has now stretched out to 40+ users with almost 3000 assets. I also received an internal award nomination from another team lead for introducing the software into the company due to how much it has improved how his team is able to operate. That's a pretty good endorsement

Vorteile:

The customisations is key. It's almost limitless to what you can add and do as an asset tracking software and it has changed the way we work for the better. Also, the categories function is exceptional for being able to allow users to only view the categories of equipment that apply to them.

Nachteile:

Lack of direct ability to search items by who they're leased to from the asset list search function. It can be done but only with advanced searching.

Asset tiger helped to improve tracking of test accessories, equipment's, boards

As our equipment's/accessories will be moving frequently since we have 3 sites, its very easy to assign and update location.

Nachteile:

Response for any query from support team delays, if instant help is given it will be useful

Easy to use and customize, great value for the money

Kommentare: I did a lot of research to find a tool that would allow me to track and report on my inventory. This one has a rich feature set, and is very flexible and easy to customize. It has very good searchability and reporting features. I use the reservation feature extensively. It's a very intuitive program.

Vorteile:

The ability to customize the asset fields to suit my needs. You can create categories and use various forms of input.. like dropdowns etc. You can also customize the order in which the fields are displayed on the forms.

Nachteile:

This one is tough.. there's not really anything that stands out. At one point, I thought I wanted an on-prem version, but I don't think that's important to me anymore. APIs to integrate with would be handy.. I've look but haven't found them yet.
