Flocknote is an easy to use communication tool built for churches.

Kommentare: Flocknote allows church administration and leaders to communicate with their people on demand. It is a simple, straightforward, and cost effective solution made for churches.

Vorteile:

The software is simple, straightforward, and cost effective. The software allows communication through email and text. It has analytics for understanding how the messages were received and red. Groups can be setup to communicate with specific people.

Nachteile:

When people attempt to communicate back, you will have to manually look for these communication. Notifications are not given when someone communicates back. This is only a one-way communications platform.

Flocknote feature

Kommentare: Overall, when someone is looking for a text/email service, I always recommend Flocknote., it's pros definitely outweigh any issues.

Vorteile:

Being able to contact large groups, and multiple groups at a time, as well as single people is invaluablee. Having the ability to see who has read the message is vitally important. Being able to use in conjunction with Lifeteen. Is a game changer.

Nachteile:

Not being able to pick up the phone abs talk to someone about concerns is frustrating. I have also had several issues with payments being lost or not credited.

We gave it a shot

Kommentare: The benefit is a cost savings to the church by saving your expenses of doing mail out letters throughout the year.

Vorteile:

Flocknote provides an email and text solution for your church, and they do a good job of it. Another pro is that you are able to have ono-to-one text conversations through the system. This is a huge benefit that you need form your texting provider.

Nachteile:

Two things: the first is, it was a little pricey for our ministry. As we began to look around, we found other solutions that offered equal or better features for less cost. Also, FlockNote does not offer text giving. We wanted a provider that would allow us to communicate to our members as well as provide a simple way for them to be able to give via text.

Communication Within the Flock

Kommentare: Overall I am very satisfied with Flocknote. The group that uses it numbers over 75 now, so we use the paid option, and it's worth every penny for the increased and streamlined communication.

Vorteile:

Flocknote is a messaging app that allows you to connect with people in your church more easily. Since signing our ward up for the software, communication has become a breeze. There are people in my church I didn't even think to reach out to, but because we're all on the same system, I can find their contact info and let them know what's happening. It's made my life as a visiting teacher much easier.

Nachteile:

My one gripe (if you could call it that) is a lack of integrated Bitmoji software. A lot of the kids in my church (and their moms) use Bitmoji in regular text conversations, so it'd be great to have that option built into the app. Other than that, it's great!

High on reach, less high on interaction

Vorteile:

We love the way you can connect to be where they are: in their email inbox and via text messages. We find folks SEEING what we're putting out there.

Nachteile:

We would LOVE the ability for more interaction and "bottom up" communication. This is great for "mass com" but not as great for interaction. I do understand that that's not how Flocknote was built and that as a church we are an outlier. We are sojourners with no home, like sheep without a pasture online, so to say.

An Easy Way to Maintain Contact with Your "Flock"

Vorteile:

In looking for a text and/or email based communication platform, I tried many others. When a fellow ministry started using Flocknote, I was impressed with how effective it was and how easy to set up and use. The software grows with you, so if you have a ministry under 40 contacts, it is free to use, and the pricing above that is very reasonable.

Nachteile:

I have not yet encountered anything I do not like about Flocknote. It offers exactly what I need for ministry promotion.

I'm still learning the new features

Kommentare: Lower cost than my previous solution.
Easy as falling off a rock, and much less painless.

Vorteile:

I love that it's so easy to use and that it gives me so much feedback about the effectiveness of my messages.

Nachteile:

I used Flocknote previously 3 years ago when I was in NYC. The product has become more feature rich since then. I just have to take the time to learn the new features and to roll it out to my staff and ministries.

I don't have to track that list or wait until I get to outlook - Uno helps us communicate

Kommentare: I like to be able to take care of ministry items during a lunch break at work or on my phone.
As a member of other ministries (including other organizations that use it) its great to see the notes where I can find them.

Vorteile:

I can send a note to all of the ministry groups I head up without having to be at my PC. I can access via my phone to send an email, approve a newsletter, or text reminder the day of an event. The replies can come back to me via the app, the dashboard in the browser, or my email. Also, I can go back to see a previous conversation without having to launch my mail program and search for it among my many different folders I might have filed it under.

Nachteile:

I really wish it had an option to add an event to your calendar with the notes. While we a can notify the users, they still have to add the event into their phone or email calendars manually instead of clicking in the message. Right now I try to add a link to an ICS file instead

Wonderful Way to Connect with Congregations

Kommentare: Solid product, superb customer service, excellent value for the money.

Vorteile:

The fact that I can text, email, call, and post to social media with one click.

Nachteile:

The Flocknote People module isn't fully functional yet; can't wait for all the features!

Helpful from a parishioner's point of view

Kommentare: It has helped with communication to small groups within our church.

Vorteile:

I am not familiar with this from an administrative point of view, but rather from a parishioner's perspective. It has been very helpful to receive reminders with this software. It has kept the members of smaller groups up to date without having to look up information on the website or search for the church bulletin.

Nachteile:

I have no complaints thus far, but I am not an administrator.

New to Flocknote

Kommentare: Very good. The program is user-friendly once you learn the ins and outs of it.

Vorteile:

What I like most is the ability to text members, add color, graphics, surveys, and invitations with RSVPs to emails and texts. I like that the replies come to my Gmail inbox. Unlike other companies, the customer service is EXCELLENT! This is huge for me as my learning curve is straight up and down until I become familiar with the new system. I love the training videos along with the written directions as opposed to having to read all the directions. I learn best by being shown how to do something. I like how you can make groups so members get information only applicable to their group and not non-applicable information. One of the main reasons we switched over is because it provides the option to Unsubscribe. They provide scripts for Signup Sunday. I like the way our members can Unsubscribe at any time, they don't have to download anything or create a password, and they choose the groups they belong to.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it's difficult to find the answer to my questions through the HELP menu. But, as I said, the Happiness Engineers have been there for me via email and or a scheduled conference call within 24 hours. It's intuitive only after training and having had some glitches in the system it caused me to question many things.

St. Jerome Catholic Church

Kommentare: The parishioners I have signed up for Flocknote really like it, and I have more thinking they will start using it for their ministry as well. Our experience, at St. Jerome Catholic Church is just outstanding.

Vorteile:

I love that it goes out to everyone or individually and when they respond to my message I am the only one who gets pinged. No annoyance for all the other recipients! I also love how different ministries can be set up exclusively and if others want to join that group they may. Parishioners aren't being forced to receive something on their phone or in their inbox if don't want. It is easy to learn and use, but if you do have questions or need help, the team is extremely wonderful about responding to your needs. There is so much . . . I could keep going! Love the library!

Nachteile:

When I choose to send email, my character count is limited. So then I need to send email only because some reminders are lengthy. I chose text because I want to make sure everyone sees it right away!

Great app for churches!

Kommentare: Flocknote has helped our church communicate in a more efficient way. Making it easier for multiple note senders has been a blessing.

Vorteile:

I like its​ ease of use and reliable. The fact that was built for churches and has features that churches need. I like how easy it is to manage groups and multiple note senders. The subscription price is well worth it.

Nachteile:

Just a few things that I'd like to see improvement on. 1. I'd like to have the option to make it ​​ default or a setting to always include all recipients whether or not they only receive text/emails. In other words, when I send a text, I want it to always include the email only people. Right now, you have to check a box to include them. 2. I'd like to be able to choose having notes sent to both email and text at the same time – not just one of the other.

Excellent Communication Tool

Kommentare: Increasing effective communication with less people being "left out" - and more people being "in the know" to the latest events, news, and other info.

Vorteile:

This software is a robust communication tool with an easy interface; excellent tools, great organization, effective tutorials, and superior customer service

Nachteile:

Perhaps be able to replicate emails as texts and vice versa. . . Be able to mass email/text those who have not "read" the messages (perhaps it can already do that - not sure?). . .

Great tool for churches

Kommentare: Overall, it has been a great experience, I cant imagine doing ministry without it

Vorteile:

The features for setting up groups, scheduling emails and text messages has made keeping regular, two-way communication easier for our ministry

Nachteile:

I wish you could improve the color selector, I have found a way to get the colors I want, but it but it is a 3 step process. A larger color wheel would be nice and a color picker (like the eye dropper in publisher) would be so helpful especially since I like to color coordinate my emails

Great starting point to better communication

Kommentare: The ease of communication and response without having to download an app is key. There is still room to grow but I look forward to seeing it happen.

Vorteile:

Ease of use (as easy as sending a text), quick readability(they even have a nice preview before you hit send), easy individual response(the parishioners simply respond to the text with another text that only the admins receive), and grouping options, it expedites communication to be able to place people in several sub groups and be able to communicate just as easily with individuals as with groups. Parents appreciate the ease of a quick text with out having to download yet another app, and it's nice to see who is opening messages and communicating too.

Nachteile:

This is a great program, it just still has room to grow. I find that I am in need of a community calendar where people can see all upcoming events; a notification system for actions that need to be taken ie: if a message got a response, if you have a new user that wants to join a group (being the super admin it can be a lot of threads to check); to be able to send or post an image (I do understand that ups the data usage significantly); and this could be user ignorance, but I would like for there to be a way to link families, multiple children with/under their parents account.

Great for parish updates!

Vorteile:

Flocknote helps send awesome, professional-looking emails out to all of the members of our church community. The formatting is great and helps us keep all of our updates organized, which is especially helpful since we host lots of events for student parishoners.

Nachteile:

One thing I don't like is that replies to the emails can be seen my any general members of the community. I wish that there were a way to make replies private if needed.

Saves Time and Increases Participation

Vorteile:

I like the customer support most. It is by far the best of any type of subscription program I have used. FLOCKNOTES is designed for ease of use. It has a short learning curve. The percentage reached feature allows me to scrub my rosters and check up on the reasons non-responses. I found the exporting feature is way-simple to use.

Nachteile:

The only criticism I have received from some in my Flock is that they cannot view everyone else's responses. I view this as a mixed blessing.

Great! I recommend them!

Kommentare: Love it! They're great! I definitely recommend! Plus it's free for small groups and cheap for medium sized groups.

Vorteile:

Easy to use, friendly interface and customer service people. It's easy to get started and they don't overcomplicate there task of communication.

Nachteile:

Text limits. It was just a challenge to fit all I wanted to say in the character limit of a text message.

EXCELLENT product.

Kommentare: We use Flocknote for all of our church communications. We run two weekly newsletters, and our in-The-moment announcements and messaging. It makes us look like we know what we’re doing!

Vorteile:

It looks great. It’s relatively intuitive and easy to use. The people in our church love it. We’re able to embed documents, pictures, and video. AND, text messaging is included.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the iOS app is buggy. Oftentimes I have to abandon the app, and use the web version on my desktop. Because I primarily use an iPad, it’s sometimes a pain.

Fliocknote as Parish Communication Platform

Kommentare: Overall, our experience with Flocknote has been awesome. The young and energetic team are always so helpful and enthusiastic with their support. Flocknote has provided an invaluable means of keeping in touch with our parishioners as well as feeding them with faith resources during these days of pandemic restrictions. Feedback from parishioners has been extremely positive.

Vorteile:

I like that the final outcome provides an attractive and engaging alternative to standard emails. I am also thoroughly impressed and appreciative with the Flocknote team.

Nachteile:

I find that there are many limitations in terms of graphic layout and applications. For example, it would be nice to have more options for font size and style. It would also be great if you could apply text over an uploaded image. A larger, easier to choose custom colour chart would also be useful, as well as the ability to copy an image and direct paste, as opposed to uploading one.

We are so grateful for Flocknote!

We have been so pleased with all that Flocknote has offered us as a church leadership team! We love that we are all on the same platform and that we can make our notes look so professional in just minutes. Also, we love having the ability to have groups so that not everyone has to receive all of the information we need to send out.

Nachteile:

I have been surprised at how hard it is for some of our people to get signed up, only because they aren't very tech savvy. It's certainly not Flocknote's fault, but it has been shocking at how much energy and time we've spent getting people on board.

Best technology around for connecting with our parish!

I love using flocknote because it met a need that I couldn't find a solution for elsewhere. We were finding it hard to find a communications medium that allowed for texting large groups of people for a reasonable price. Flocknote not only did that, but it made communicating with our groups easier than ever. I am a huge fan.

Nachteile:

My only problem with flocknote is that after being a user for about a month there are new changes that are taking away from the original functionality. I really like keeping up with attendance and giving in one place, but it was recently taken away unless ordered a second function.
