The Platform I've Always Needed

Vorteile:

It's the exact system I need for my membership. I wanted to create a Netflix for podcasters, and even built out a version one on top of WordPress. But Uscreen does everything I need it to do and more. It was a no-brainer for me to switch.

Nachteile:

I'd love an importer for Vimeo to Uscreen, and the ability to make some videos public and embeddable on other websites.

Kommentare: There are pros and cons to Uscreen, but once you're a member there is a lot of support to help make your membership succeed.

Vorteile:

Uscreen has been our video hosting website since we October 2022. The website and back-end interface are user-friendly enough, allowing us to focus on creating quality content without much technical issues. Their customer support is always helpful and responsive. We chose Uscreen for its community features, and the ability for our audience to comment on specific videos has fostered a strong sense of engagement and community.

Nachteile:

Despite its strengths, Uscreen has some notable downsides. The analytics are not as detailed or informative as we would like, although we are hopeful about the improvements they're making. The most significant drawback has been the outrageous increase in cost per subscriber. This substantial hike was difficult to budget in since our operations costs are already very high, but we decided to stay with Uscreen due to the overall benefits. While there are areas needing enhancement, such as analytics, back end community notifications and pricing, we are overall happy with them. I really miss when Uscreen had their community on Facebook, I feel like there's a lack of interaction on their Uscreen community since we had the switch.

Kommentare: Migration was the biggest headache I’ve ever encountered. The Apps and Webs team were disconnected and virtually no communication leaving a lot to error. Support queries take days, hours, and weeks. Their staff take the weekend off and sign-off after 5pm. If something happens after hours or over the weekend don’t count on it being addressed. You can guarantee to lose business in the transfer, especially from Web subscribers. Uscreen says that a Stripe migration is ‘simple’, but it’s far more complex than they lead you to believe. From a platform perspective:
Uscreen’s perks are the calendar and Community, however Vimeo customers will have complaints about that — and when you try to raise these issues with the AI Bot that Uscreen uses for Support — they go nowhere.
They have an alleged “feature request” button where you can request things like different roles for your employees/team, a deep dive into customer information, but they never go anywhere, and don’t count on a Uscreen employee reaching out to you to confirm receipt or even discuss potential changes to their system that could be beneficial (and not to mention, compete with their largest competitor - Vimeo.) All in all, if you’re thinking about doing it. Don’t.

Vorteile:

Some features are nice: Calendar & Community, but that's about it.

Nachteile:

- Poor support. - Employees who aren't bots seem overworked and not enthusiastic about their work. - The migration process was far from seamless. - Content management requires additional steps: For example, you cannot simply 'delete' a video from a Category. And you can't have a Collection within a Collection.

Pro video hosting solution for dedicated membership sites

Kommentare: Professional, proactive, personal ... and pricey. But having access to such a reliable platform with so few technical issues and simple workflow saves you time, so you can be more effective as a creator/publisher. Uscreen just works.

Vorteile:

Support is absolute 5*, blazing fast and smart. This retains my business more than anything. I also have a Customer Success manager who was assigned to my account to help me find ways to succeed in my business using Uscreen.

Nachteile:

Lack of 'online course' features that would transform the video catalogue into a series of linked courses, with gamification, quizzes and level tests to encourage users to revisit the platform to take the next step in their learning progression. The Community integration (chatroom) lacks rich media support options and is a bit too basic.

Our UScreen Experience

Kommentare: Our initial experience/set up was rather lengthy. We had many, many interactions with CS for many, many months. We have requested quite a number of features and most have been built. It took time. They do listen to our needs, but our needs aren't always met. Our rate increased and that was very difficult for our small business. While we are in a fairly good place, there are still important features we would like to enjoy that have not yet come to fruition after nearly 2 years.

Vorteile:

The UScreen team is very responsive. While we've experienced growing pains, UScreen has very much grown along with us. They prioritize serving their customer's needs. While the overall needs of the Uscreen community don't always match up with our organization's most pressing needs, UScreen advisors always answer our questions and help us with our own needs. We appreciate new feature roll outs and we appreciate the forward thinking nature of the UScreen team.

Nachteile:

Difficulty of certain features--not intuitive. Fixes generally require large product updates which take time.

Uscreen was a game changer!

Kommentare: Thanks to Uscreen we were able turn our small YouTube channel (Refeel Yoga) into a viable source of revenue. They've enabled us to be able to teach, travel, study and live, while generating passive income and live an amazing life.
I can't recommend them enough. 5 stars is too few!

Vorteile:

Aside from the ease of creating out website and making a very beautiful, professionally put together webpage, the customer service has been incredible! We've had amazing calls with our personal representative, every CSA that I've reached out to has been super friendly and attentive. It's been a dream and a life changing experience since we started our account with Uscreen.

Nachteile:

This is tough, because there are so many positives. I suppose one complaint I would have is the context window in the comments section. I teach Yoga, so when someone asks a question, I want to give as detailed of a response as possible (my wife says I write books to our students) But this means that I often have to create a series of 4 or 5 replies to be able to full answer a questions. Small complaint, but it's something that would make like easier for me.

Uscreen for video membership

Kommentare: I've moved my movement platform to Uscreen from Kajabi after experiencing how much it would improve the user experience of my members. The Uscreen team is dynamic and dedicated - updates are frequent and the community can submit feature requests freely. The way the sites and apps are build is well optimised for video content. From features like filters, playlists, livestream to well designed forum, I believe Usceen has really helped my business flourish. The customer support is also faster than in any other service I've used.

Vorteile:

- Fast support response times - In built apps for iOS and Android - Filtering and playlist system for videos - Community forum for my members - Clear admin system

Nachteile:

- No localised currencies - No paid trial option - Internal livestream software has been hit and miss so far - Minimal customisation options for in built marketing features

Deciding to move our service to Uscreen was a big, but easy decision to make, due to their support. We will finally be able to launch our mobile apps, because of how simple they make it. The Best Choice!

Kommentare: To begin with, and perhaps most importantly, since joining Uscreen we've noted a significant increase in customer growth, retention and engagement.
The number of features we are able to offer our customers is perhaps a huge driver behind this - built in Communities for engagement, apps, live streaming and many other features we use daily.
Daily, we feel supported via their amazing customer support team, the Membership community for creators and weekly videos they create to help cultivate a successful thriving platform.

Vorteile:

Transitioning to Uscreen from a different streaming platform was a breeze. There was an entire team to help guide us through, to do the majority or the work and to ensure the move was seamless. The support from the tech team is always quick and and issues we have are solved very quickly. To be honest it's been the best move we have made - the site and themes are up to date and visually appealing, customers love the ease of use, app access and the sheer number of amazing features we can offer.

Nachteile:

To be honest, there's been nothing thus far. We've been doing this for over 8 years and have used a variety of streaming platforms...Uscreen has been the best decision we've made.

Vorteile:

From sales to customer migration to deployment to mobile app development, every step along the way has been a top notch experience. I received tremendous support at every step with precise documentation and helpful humans. Transitioning from a different platform to Uscreen was seamless and since the upgrade my online business has almost tripled in revenue!

Nachteile:

Compared to other platforms, the Community feature is still relatively simple. I wish there were more robust features such as private messaging and screen sharing like Discord.

Vorteile:

We switched over from another streaming service provider (Dacast). And our experience with them wasn't the best, so we were a little weary. However Uscreen took the stress away completely from streaming. Their system is robust, easy to follow, and very inuitive. We had a very useful and informative onbaording session with our account manager, which set the tone of our Uscreen experience so far.

Nachteile:

In all honest, nothing. Their platform has evolved with tools and features very useful to a small niche broadcaster like us. Some features perhaps can be better grouped and configured on the site, but this is purely cosmetic. Everything works really well.

Vorteile:

I have been using the Uscreen platform for over 3 years and I am really happy to host my membership platform on it. I find the framework really user friendly. There are plenty of in built marketing tools to help with automations and also to reduce churn. I've also found the customer service/teach team support to be second to none - speedy responses with a genuine desire to help! I also recently found out about Membership + which is Uscreen's support community group full of resources to help encourage and inspire membership owners! If you're looking to start your own membership, I would have no hesitation to recommend Uscreen!

Nachteile:

I really don't have any cons. I have a few suggestions for requests that I have made to the tech request team that my membership would really benefit from.

Vorteile:

Dashboard and backend, customer support and customer success teams, content management, live stream functionalities, and community!

Nachteile:

It's not a dislike, but it would be great if besides just hosting videos we could host products. In my membership I give access to other resources like templates, prompts, etc and there is nowhere to share this without having to create a video!

Vorteile:

Uscreen can pretty much do everything. It takes a little while getting used to it but when you do it's such a powerful tool. It has made such an impact on my life.

Nachteile:

They don't have multi-currency this has really prevented us taking clients on from other countries.

Uscreen has completely changed my life & income. From struggling with my 1-1 coaching business to launching my subscription site and 5x my income within 3 months! Iv received full & ongoing support during set up and throughout the whole process of running my business! They are constantly adding new features & the team are very responsive if you need anything. Forever grateful and excited to reach more people with my online studio!

I didn't launch sooner! I would have liked the option to give other team members access to edit website or more administrable roles

Vorteile:

We've hosted our membership with Uscreen for 2 years now, and every step has been a truly enjoyable experience. The platform is easy to use, yet full of incredible video and marketing features which have helped us grow beyond expectations. They're always innovating and adding new tools to the site, and the customer support team surpasses anything else - they're quick to respond and eager to help with anything.

Nachteile:

Although the regular price for just a membership website is fairly reasonable, launching an app is quite (understandably) pricey and outside many creator's budget.

Kommentare: The brightest spot has been the team. The Uscreen team has been great and has really helped us onboard our team to the platform.

Vorteile:

The bones of the platform are super solid and you're able to do most things really well. The content management is good and the community page is easy to use. The mobile app is a huge boost that we didn't anticipate would make much of a difference. But it's been the majority of our users are accessing Uscreen through the custom app.

Nachteile:

There's some features that lack behind other offerings, especially when it comes to live streaming and scheduling. You currently can't pre-schedule events without pre made content attached to it. And the live streaming doesn't allow you to capture video from a guest.

Uscreen was exactly what I was looking for...

Vorteile:

Uscreen was exactly what I was looking for in my membership site. I took a LONG time comparing and weighing the options, talking to other people, and I did not make the wrong choice. The customer support is wonderful. I’m currently a one-person team and it’s extremely helpful to be able to get answers quickly. My customer success manager has been great from the beginning, too. The platform has been intuitive to use, and there are tutorials for the things that are not. They are always adding more features, and their membership community is helpful for new ideas and ways to grow.

Nachteile:

Cost can be high, but you get what you pay for.
