Integration with POS and easy to use
Vorteile:
Integration with POS is very easy to accomplish. They real time sync works very well. It's easy to setup and to use. Very intuitive and helpfull videos. Simple to create PO and manage inventory
Nachteile:
There is a few basic things missing, like the possibility to write notes on a partially received PO, or if you make a mistake. In fact you can't write notes anywhere which is quite annoying. It works in modules and I think the price it's too high for what they are offering for professional and Elite packages.

Hi Ana! Thanks for the review. We're glad that Shopventory is automating your business! Our newest Purchase Order feature allows you to automatically add all items that are running low. Pretty powerful stuff! We appreciate the feedback on writing a note on a partially received Purchase Order. Our engineering team will take that into consideration. However, you can write a note in several other areas of the software, such as when doing a reconciliation. These notes will show on the audit logs of all items. Customer Service Is Excellent!
Kommentare: The customer service is excellent, but the PO format doesn't work well for us so I make adjustments where they are needed.
Vorteile:
As there are some features/fields that are not available on the PO the customer service reps have always done their best suggesting other options.
Nachteile:
"Terms" is not an option on the PO's so this is the most difficult thing to adjust, but I have an alternative that works "Okay"

The BEST Inventory Management I Found
Kommentare: The product does exactly as they say. It's very easy to manage inventory. Whenever I run into a snag, their online chat is extremely helpful and has always solved my problems.

Quick Help, Good Features, More features may be needed
Kommentare: Overall, a great start to a strong inventory system. Like anything, it needs some features that seem to be basics (or obvious), and has other features that would not have crossed my mind to use in our warehouse. The support team is usually very helpful and courteous. Sometimes we need something more along the lines of production software, but Thrive has also helped manage these types of activities for us too!
Vorteile:
Support members are very responsive, and try hard to understand the situation. Most of our big issues have been escalated to the engineers and often fixed in about 48-72 business hours. Many helpful options to make some complex items (bundles and assemblies) as well as some features we don't use just yet.
Nachteile:
There's no organizing by SKU number, so far; by name or barcode number only. They always suggest downloading the product list and organizing on a spreadsheet, but not all of our employees who would need it have access to do that. When using in tandem with BigCommerce, we had a few "behind the screen" issues with programming, but the support team was very helpful.

Amazing Customer Service
Kommentare: Things with thrive started out pretty good. A couple of months in, I started running into a problem with things duplicating, creating new listings or creating variants' under the listing, all with the same sku, all with different inventory counts. When I first contacted them, I was frustrated and upset. My expectations were unrealistic, I wanted them to wave a magic wand and make it all better. Instead they gave me a solution that required a lot of work on my part. It took me a little bit to admit that it made sense that I would go through the inventory and clean it up. No matter how I was feeling though, they always responded quickly, kindly and supportively.Once I did what I needed to do, things went smoothly. Their staff was there, every step of the way, checking in, letting me know what our next steps would be. Once I was done, they did the magic part. That was a couple of months ago, things have been going smoothly since then. I don't know what caused the issue, but I know they do and they helped me fix it, making sure it won't happen again. Additionally, when I started using this, I hadn't realised that I couldn't sell by weight with Square. When I mentioned it to them, they were not aware that Square offered that functionality. Within a week they had that option deployed so that all of their customers using square could use these options when setting up in thrive too.Despite that rough patch, working with the folks there has never been a source of frustration.

Best app to help manage inventory
Kommentare: Overall we have had lees inventory issues with unaccounted for product, can easily look at the product and look at history. However it is not easy to find a product that we have on hand and no longer in the system to find the history of the product.
Vorteile:
The ease of importing from Shopify to Thrive, and customer service was top notch when help was needed.
Nachteile:
The bulk edit reports needs help, not able to hide columns so you can see the ones you need to work on side by side without having to scroll left to right constantly. Would be really nice to edit just the product or products you need instead of the entire catalog which includes archived products. Way too much informaiton not needed and would speed up the download time to generate a Google sheet. Would also would be nice if can enter in additional field such as country of origin which would save a step in by having to enter into Shopify. As well as placing the images in the correct order of the variants to show online (I think this is more of a Shopify issue). When we need to add sku's we have to click each time and no there's autofill of drag down option same with other fields such as price. Time consuming when you can have 100 attributes and you have to add 99 attribute boxes 1 at a time so you can enter the variant weight & color. We never know what and how many of each product we will receive until unpacked and sorted. No way to use the bulk edit option for the specific product to add

I wish there was a bit more options/features for bulk import/export and updates. If you have a lot of products, those options are the best. Also, wish the woocommerce integration was a bit better with more dynamic controls.

Ease of use and helpful staff
Kommentare: We also appreciate the ease of the chat function when we need help and assistance with any problems. the knowledgeable staff has helped on multiple occasions - not only during the on boarding process. Just the thought of knowing that we don't have to manually track our inventory manually anymore is a relief! We had been doing that for a few years, then as our inventory increased it got more difficult. Knowing that Shopventory is working behind the scenes has been a load off of my mind and our Finance department as well!
Vorteile:
The ease of use for inventory management and tracking. Also integrations with 3rd party programs so we don't have to manually track our inventory anymore has been a HUGE relief!
Nachteile:
It would be helpful if there was an option on the Dashboard to view sales and inventory changes for longer than just a month. And to have it set that way, not to retract to the defaults of to the current day.

Kommentare: When we signed up for the Clover POS it was under the guise of being an all-in-one for our business. That has proven to NOT be the case. Shopventory has seamlessly filled in the gaps Clover has. The bundling of products and superb inventory management/tracking. If you're finding that you aren't getting enough data, can't do what you need to do to track your stock, or other basic business functions, chances are Shopventory can help. We're halfway through the trial period and there are no questions that have been left unanswered, no system issues they haven't been able to help with, their customer service is ABOVE AND BEYOND anything I could have imagined. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, they deserve the sky. We will 100% be purchasing a subscription and will not consider it to be wasted money at all. They truly are the best companion for this Clover setup. Many mahalos!

As a retail Wine and Spirit store it is very User friendly. if I have any issues, which I rarely do, the technical support responds quickly with the answers to my questions.

Inventory management is what I use it for primarily. When running Dead Inventory reports, it seems to take a long time to generate.

Keeps us on track with our inventory
Kommentare: Thrive by Shopventory allows for a one-stop easy-to-utilize platform to keep on top of inventory, and product trends. Owning and operating a business is a second (post-retirement) career, so this product has been very helpful in keeping up with all the details and metrics of product management.
Vorteile:
I really like the built-in and custom reports that can be generated to get a comprehensive view of the status of the business. The customer service is also top-notch and very quick to assist in answering questions. I feel as though they really care about ensuring that the users are getting the most out of the product. Being able to remotely utilize the system for product management is essential.
Nachteile:
This is likely an end-user issue, but on occasion, the "Bundling" option is a bit glitchy with listing "components". Again, more than likely, this is a user issue.

Nachteile:
Words have to be spelled out exactly in order to find them in the system. Also, the inventory doesn't sync with Clover automatically. Sometimes it takes a while.

Pretty Good Product with Great Customer Service
Vorteile:
I needed something to help me track my inventory better that also integrated with my Square POS and Shopventory did the trick. It was kind of difficult to set up but the customer support was amazing and they helped me every step of the way. I probably took at least 2+ hours of their time just to help me set up a free trial account. The main reason I signed up for it was to get functionality that wasn't present in square such as setting COGS. Overall I am happy but hope to see some feature improvements in the future.
Nachteile:
A few drawbacks which make Shopventory difficult to use: No mobile app. This is a pretty painful pill to swallow to be honest. As a small business owner, often times I can only go shopping for ingredients when I have some spare time. Having the ability to check stock levels in real on my phone while i'm shopping would be a huge win. Currently, I try to login to their website on my phone but it isn't even mobile friendly which can be quite frustrating at times. After speaking with support it's also clear this isn't even on the horizon. Upsell quickbooks integration: Not a huge fan of paid SaaS products that lock out features for an additional fee. Quickbooks integration will cost you an extra, which DOUBLES the price of the product. If it's already been developed, why not just include it into the subscription? There's nothing I hate more than feeling like I'm being nickel and dimed. Overall I will continue to use this product as I have already set it up, but it's likely I will look for something in the future that has a mobile app as that functionality is just too important for me at the moment.

The second is our Barcode Scanning App ( https://help.shopventory.com/skus-and-barcode-scanning/barcode-scanner-mobile-app ) which you can use to scan the barcode on any item to see current stock levels on the go. Regarding the QuickBooks integration - we do have it included for free in our Professional package if you'd like to do that instead! Shopventory & Clover - A great combination!
Kommentare: Shopventory has allowed us to stock more of what sells well, less of what doesn't, and not reorder dead product. Overall we have increased sales and decreased inventory. With several time consuming tasks now automated we are spending less on payroll maintaining the inventory.
Vorteile:
Shopventory was good when it came out, and keeps getting better. They are always adding new features and reports without having to upgrade. In the beginning I was concerned that an "App" would not be able to handle our inventory in real time. After several years I can say that it easily handles thousands of titles of sheet music, and emails me daily titles needing to be reordered. We have since moved all the inventory from QuickBooks to Shopventory. Noteworthy today - they have GREAT customer service!
Nachteile:
There really are no Cons! It works, and it's uptime is very close to 100%.

EXCELLENT! customer service, easy to use, and incredibly useful

I've had such a great experience using Shopventory: they have excellent customer service that's quick, effective, and personalized; updates made to the platform are targeted specifically toward customer needs and requests; the platform is easy to use, yet provides so much more useful data analysis than I expected; so far I haven't experienced a single bug except for one caused by a linked program! Couldn't be better
Nachteile:
My only qualms are that certain improvements don't have quite the customizability that I would hope for, but I imagine that these additional improvement are simply still in the he works. The other con is that Shopventory isn't compatible with Squarespace yet! So I'm anxiously awaiting for that update to release.

Great Customer Service!
Kommentare: The customer service is top notch! [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] helped me get setup and walked me through the entire process. I had approximately 1,000 - 2,000 skus. I had to do major clean up on my data before loading (which was my own fault, I had different skus for quite a few of the same products in my two different systems *facepalm*). I also received
Vorteile:
I had a brick and mortar retail business and also had a website. I used square for brick and mortar and shopify for e-commerce. It had become extremely difficult removing/adding inventory between the two systems and I needed a solution that would sync the two inventories. I also had an issue of overselling inventory. Shopventory corrected both of those issues.
Nachteile:
When you bulk upload new products, you cannot add a description, categories, etc. Instead, you must go back in and use a bulk edit spreadsheet, find the products just uploaded and then add in the missing data. With that being said, I made this suggestion and am told it is being worked on, so that's great! One other thing, if you use shopify and have tags on your products, once shopventory syncs it sees tags as "categories" and will create those categories and products are "duplicated" into those categories.

Great Stepping Stone
Kommentare: This is a great stepping stone product for those that haven't grown large enough for the "big guns" but need an easy-to-use database that integrates well with current POS systems.
Vorteile:
We needed software that could integrate with Square and offer purchase order tracking, cost of goods sold, vendor info, and beyond. Shopventory provides that. It's intuitive and has GREAT customer service.
Nachteile:
There isn't a way to track customer special orders. I would have liked to be able to input more info on the item screen like vendor item number and case packs.

Inventory Management

I like that we can see lot costs & when we bought them.
Nachteile:
I really hate that there isn't a a way to firewall on other stores so that any changes you make are for the store that you are logged into. I don't like the amount of clicks it takes to make a purchase order. I don't like that you can't change the retail on a product on the purchase order screen.

I like how easy it is to maneuver through options. The ability to change or update product on the fly by single items or in bulk. If you have a question, the ability to chat with someone is FAST and informative, with videos and snapshots to help understand complex issues or tasks.
Nachteile:
I would say that the one thing that I would mention, is that before anyone updates, imports or exports their inventory, they should make sure that everything is updated first in the user system through Variants. Also that Shopventory is the main hub and the subsidiaries are your In-Store kiosk and Shopify. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] at Shopventory made sure to educate me on this, considering I was taking over a project already started. Shopventory has no cons, just would suggest a heads up at the beginning like [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] did for me.
