Nice People, Poor & Unreliable Product
Kommentare: The people who work in customer service are helpful. But if a product is unreliable, that means little. It is a cost effective product for a new, growing studio. But once you can afford something different, you really should try another service that is more reliable.
Vorteile:
There are many features and the system is cost effective for smaller studios like mine. You generally hear back from someone in the company when you need them within 24 hours.
Nachteile:
The system is completely unreliable. On my opening day, there was a system wide outage that lasted almost 24 hours. I could not check in clients, take payments, or conduct business. This is not the only time this has happened. For larger studios, this may not be an issue but for small businesses like mine, letting a customer walk out of the door because you cannot get them into your system due to downtime is a really big deal. It is also cumbersome when you try to get people to create an account because everything is routed through their backend. Wellness Living also does not have APIs that integrate with much of the popular software that allows you to market to clients (e.g. Class Pass) and it does not integrate with systems like Netgym which allow scheduling support. If money is an option, try them. But they are a short term solution. I have had multiple days when my instructors could not sign in, we could not check people in, or we could not accept money because the system was down. They really need to do better.

Kommentare: Wellness living is streamlined, totally user friendly, and priced just right. The simplicity of the system is what sold me. After using a competitors product for over a year and feeling let down and still confused about how to create and manage classes, I made the switch to Wellness Living. They are always quick with responses whenever I need help and are incredibly supportive even when I have a silly question. For any small studio owner like myself I would highly recommend Wellness Living over ANY other competitor.

Wellness Living has been such a great change from my last CRM platform. It is SO much more user friendly and has an intuitive design to allow teaching your staff how to use it so easy. I love the text options and the white label app too. The app has taken my business to the next level for sure! :)

I want my clients to easily see their attendance history so they can push themselves to reach new milestones at the studio. I want emails to clients to reflect my hex colors and to offer cool layouts.

Good Ideas - TERRIBLE Execution

From the start I had red flags that I ignored. For example, I went to someone else's website to check out how they used WL. Then I "tried" to go to WL's main website and I kept getting redirected back to the website I had visited.
This software did NOT make running my biz easier, I had so many procedures on how to do simple things like matching our daily deposits to the reports from WL b/c nothing was accurate. Updates, OMG, nightmares - whether it was poor design, poor testing b/f rolling out, poor programming or all of the above, I don't know but the number of times they broke (and continue to do so, I left 2 yrs ago) is amazing to me.
What caused me to leave was one of these updates. They broke their recurring class booking - the system would REBOOK clients into classes they'd been removed from. Not only were we accused of doing this ourselves (you physically cannot book a client into a past class), I was told no less than 6 different times this was fixed just to prove it hadn't been. This caused us so much time & money b/c the only way to get rid of the rebookings, was to manually delete each one by hand. They had no way to do this for us.
Now for the ugly truth - WL tries to say they're all about positivity (rainbows & kittens) but IMO they are a toxic company. They constantly blame their customers for issues found until you can prove it's their software. They never look at the issue first, always the end user.
When I finally left, they BEGGED me to stay - told me they'd fix my issue (this was at least 3x of the 6 they told me it was fixed) and once they realized I was a lost cause, they threw up every roadblock possible. They told me they didn't know how to get my cc data b/c they never had clients leave (whatever...) and stonewalled me for MONTHS! I did finally get my data but only once I got the [sensitive content hidden] involved. Like what company requires you to get the [sensitive content hidden] of a company involved to cancel? A toxic one
Stay away - it's been 2 yrs since I left and I still hear from clients about how to leave b/c they aren't able to reach anyone or are getting stonewalled.
Vorteile:
Pretty colors and design, good concepts/ideas. There are a lot of things to like about WL conceptually. You can book clients into classes ongoing, you can link family members and have a single payment method. They offer events, discounts, gift cards, SMS communication (new) and so much more. But - read the rest of my review please
Nachteile:
I was with WL for 5 yrs - multiple times a year, I'd even argue every single update, they would break the software. Sometimes it was minor, lots of times it was MAJOR! Every 6 weeks we'd have to brace for an update and figure out what got broken. Sometimes it wasn't even related to the update that was rolled out, their programmers just mucked stuff up. End users were beta testers. God forbid you have an issue, you'll be required to screen shot, video whatever was happening. Oh and don't forget to clear your cache...

was one of the most exceptional customer service representatives I have spoken with. He recently assisted me with some issues and went above and beyond to understand and assist me.
Vorteile:
We switched from Mindbody to Wellness Living 3 years ago because WL was a friend to small businesses unlike Mindbody with its one size one price fits all approach. Three years ago Wellness Living understood small businesses had different needs than big studios and wasn't forcing us to spend money on services we didn't need. However, the past year and a half this is beginning to change at Wellness Living.
Nachteile:
Every year the price goes up SIGNIFICANTLY and it unfortunately feels more similar to Mindbody's approach.

Kommentare: An absolute nightmare. Every single time there was an issue or a bug in the software I would have to spend days/weeks working around to have it fixed. Not to mention it’s just a big data mining company. It’s not at all easy for people to sign up for things- they have to create accounts and input all kinds of info to register for anything!!
Vorteile:
Absolutely nothing. It’s lipstick on a pig. Software that looks good and is complete garbage. With absolutely ZERO actual support. Takes over a week min to get someone on the phone or deal with issues.

It’s hard to say when it’s all terrible.

I was first given a recommendation for wellness living from a total stranger at a fitness convention. she told me how happy she was and I should check the company out. I feel I have people who care about me in my pocket.

As a brand new business starting, I was guided so professionally from the beginning team at Wellness living to the present. What I like most is that their communication with me is always there if a problem arises when you need help setting up.
Nachteile:
The company did not know what Venmo was. However, once I discussed how important it was for my website we discussed the problem and it got resolved.

Clunky Beast, Glitchy Software, Poor Tech Support, EXPENSIVE
Kommentare: The experience with WL was reasonable in the first year or so, but gradually soured as the poor business practices stacked themselves into a nightmare product.
Vorteile:
Working with WellnessLiving for over 4 years, I got to know the software very well. It worked well in the beginning but too many "improvements" caused the software to become clunky, slow and glitchy for owners and clients. On a positive note, it allowed me to learn what works and what doesn't for my business; it made choosing an alternate EHR/CRM very easy.
Nachteile:
Price did not remain as quoted (increased to 3x the quote): - When I first signed on, I was quoted a locked in price for the lifetime of use as long as I signed within a certain time period. In speaking with the salesperson, at the time, I praised them on how pleased I was to find a Canadian CRM that was quoting a price in Canadian Dollars, as this would make things easier when it came to bookkeeping. Unfortunately this was not upheld, and I was immediately charged in USD. Over the 4 ½ years I was with WL the price to increased to almost 3x the original quote. - The software got bigger and clunkier to use. My clients gradually became dissatisfied with the software as they had trouble accessing their accounts and booking appointments. they would also get bumped out of forms mid-completion and lose all their progress. -I constantly had to review client accounts for remaining visits bc it was too challenging for the client. -Tech support is definitely overseas, and communication is often a challenge. -When I finally decided to switch to a more appropriate EHR/CRM, I requested the data required for the migration. Instead of complying, WL tried to bully me into staying by diverting discussions to contract. As they were preventing me form doing my due diligence under PHIPA an PIPEDA, I finally had to initiate a complaint with the governing bodies in order to receive the data required.

Kommentare: Service goes out completely. It happened four days ago and the only information I get is when I contact them, they keep reeling me to wait. The software is not user friendly, functions and setting change out of nowhere, so hard to navigate, sometimes you have to use the app because the desktop version is so hard to use. There is so much more

I had an issue a couple weeks ago and [sensitive content hidden] helped me through it. He was great to work with and by far has been the most help to me since I started with Wellness Living over a year ago. I am very appreciative for what he was able to do for me with my app.

I don't like that it takes a couple days sometimes to get a reply from an original issue.

I am so sorry I ever used them

My biggest issue with this company is that their software really doesn't work. When I signed on with them in October 2022 they were okay, but recently I have discovered so many issues and when I try to get help with them, they don't really take accountability and instead try to push the problem back to you, when it isn't a user error.
For example I did a promo where the first month of membership was discounted, but the bug discounted those people for months until I changed it. I lost a few thousand dollars from that. Then when I told customer service they directed me on how to do that promo, but I applied the promo right it just doesn't work.
The worst part was when I cancelled, they charged me an "early cancellation fee" basically their contract renews in July and you're hooked in for a year, every year. I understand requiring commitment for your first year but I when I expressed that was unfair they were just like "well you signed the contract" so it's okay to put ridiculous things in your contract and hide behind it?
So I was charged my early cancellation fee of $1000 plus $500 for my own data transfer plus and extra month out of nowhere that they said they would return but have not done so.
Now they are dragging their feet (we're 3 weeks in) on the data transfer, but decided to push through the cancellation before that was done! So now I have no data and no new software, and no old software. I tried to contact my rep but the day she's cancelling me she's actually impossible to reach. Once they took me for all I'm worth they don't care about me anymore.
Also, for several weeks we couldn't even download my app onto Android, I lost several customers this way.
I would strongly advise against using Wellness Living. They sell you a cool slick software but it's a dinosaur with broken legs.

WELLNESS LIVING is the WORST COMPANY we have ever worked with!
Kommentare: I do not typically write reviews, but my experience with Wellness Living has been so horrendous that I feel compelled to share. We decided to cancel our service due to the constant errors, glitches, and limitation to major functions that are key to the daily success of a business. They funnel all their calls through one service number which often they do not even answer. I cancelled our account in September via phone and via email to have a record and now it is December and we are STILL being charged despite multiple confirmation emails that we have been cancelled! How is this possible?! Every time I call in, they make me go through the same process AGAIN, there is no option to speak to a manager, no other number or email that can help you if you are not being helped. They just continue to take our money and pass us around over and over again without anyone taking ownership or accountability. This is seriously the worst and most frustrating experience I have ever had in customer service. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! Please save yourself the heartache!!
